Been coming here since 99, it was one of the best kept secrets in Santa Clara County for years, now with the RV side, its busy all year round. Still a great local park to get away from the city life. We camped at Coyote Lake-Harvey Bear Ranch County Park, Lakeview Campground in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Had a pleasant overnight stay at the RV section of the park with hook-ups in July on a Sunday evening which was very quiet after the weekend crowd had left for home. Brought the kayak to do some fishing while my girlfriend hiked the nearby trails with our dog on leash. The rangers are helpful and courteous, they also enforce the rules when someone parks illegally makes noise after quiet hours. Bathrooms are clean and well-kept. Most all sites have picnic tables and a fire ring, sites do not have sewer connection but there is a dump near the entrance. The road into the camp has a couple of tight turns but easy for our 17 foot travel trailer. This place gets crowded during the Spring and Summer months on the weekends but is a joy to stay Sunday-Thursday if you can make it out. Cellular and data coverage is spotty though Verizon gets a signal while AT&T does not. We camped at Coyote Lake-Harvey Bear Ranch County Park, Lakeview Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

If you bring a boat, kayak or inflatable you are required to have it inspected by the Quagga Mussel Inspection station over by the launch ramp, which is about half a mile away, then you launch your kayak or inflatable near the campground shore line. You may be subject to a fine if you do not get your watercraft inspected and banded, there are Sheriff out that check.

Overall Rating:

Great camping area. Lots of wildlife too. Rangers keep things running smooth. I like that they make people follow the rules. Excellent shower facilities. Can also launch boats/kayaks, etc. Except for no cell service, this is great campground. We camped at Coyote Lake-Harvey Bear Ranch County Park, Lakeview Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a spacious, out of the way park. There were only a few campers there in July. The road leading to the campground is narrow with some hair pin turns, but can be navigated with up to a 30 ft. RV with a toad. We camped at Coyote Lake-Harvey Bear Ranch County Park, Lakeview Campground in a Motorhome.
