If all RV parks across the U.S. were like Yanks, RV'ing would be a breeze. Yanks looks the way all RV parks should look. Even their workout room was excellent. The only drawback is the surrounding area. Flat, dusty, farmland in central California. Yanks is a diamond in the rough. Very rough. Too bad it's not nearer great places to visit. Pinnacles NP is the nearest attraction, but it needed rain. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We typically use Yanks as a stopover along the way. The RV park is newer, well kept up and nice. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The pull throughs offer generous space and we had no problem leaving our tow car attached behind out 43' motorhome. Pads are concrete, so no bringing dirt in the rig! Very nice dog park! We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Vision Quest Ranch is an animal sancturary about 30 minutes north, but worth the drive. Although Yanks touts an air museum at the resort, there is none and it doesn't look like it will ever be built.

Very clean with level concrete sites. Nice modern power pod. 2 sewer sites to connect to. Very convenient. All employees very courteous and helpful. Dog area well landscaped, large, well lit at night. The only negatives I have are: the men's pool restroom has only one toilet, no urinals. There is only one dog area. It is located at one end of the park. So if camped at the opposite end of the park, it would be a very long walk. The only other negative is no fault of Yanks. This is a VERY windy area. This park is one of the best we have ever stayed in. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Windmill restaurant is an excellent eating spot in Soledad. In Greenfield, La Plaza Mexican restaurant has the best Mexican food you will ever taste. It doesn't stop there. They have a bakery that is second to none. All very inexpensively priced. Greenfield is a short drive to the Pinnacles, or Carmel, or Monterey.

All I can say is "WOW" This really is an RV Resort. This place is pristine and well taken care of, easy to get to from Hwy. 101. We checked in after hours without a reservation. The front gate was clearly marked with envelopes for self check in for all of the open sites. We have a 26' travel trailer and the only spaces left were the 100' pull through sites. The cost was not out of line with the 10% discount provided for our KOA or Good Sam membership. The staff was EXCELLENT and very friendly. I noticed every two to three hours a staff member was patrolling in a golf cart inspecting every part of the RV park. I mean they were looking for signs of trash, inspecting the dumpster areas, cleaning out the dog park and making sure everyone's site was clean. They have one of the best Dog runs of any RV park I have ever stayed at. Complete with a secure fenced pet washing station. The store they have on site is pretty convenient too. A gas station convenience store right on the other side of the overpass supplying both gas and diesel made things very convenient. I would give this place a 10 except the only thing I can think of negatively is that this RV park is in a very windy valley. I would recommend this location of you are visiting the Monterey and Carmel Valley. It is a bit of a drive - about 45 minutes but it is a pretty drive through farm country. You will not be disappointed! We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is the second time we have stayed here. The staff is excellent. After checking in, there is a member who shows you to your site And inquires if they could help you setup. This park is great for sightseeing to the Monterey peninsula area. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We live in Watsonville and like to come here with our 2 grandsons. It only takes a hour and 20 minutes to get here with our camper. It's warmer here than it typically is at home. The place is extremely clean! There are people cleaning all the time! There is a pool that is heated and is 3 feet to 5 feet, and is perfect for our 6 year old and 7 month old grandsons. The spaces are very level and come with a bbq and picnic table. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We have come here numerous times and will continue to do so! We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Visiting from New Zealand. Travelling for 20 days, found this park exceptional in comparison to others visited during this trip. The park is really state of the art in its class, would love to revisit when the trees have grown. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ablutions up to 5 star hotel standard. Enjoyed the pool's cool water after a long trip, with 100 F temperature. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We used Yanks RV as our base camp for exploring Pinnacles National Park. It is an outstanding RV park, with all sites of concrete, beautifully landscaped, lots of room and excellent hookups. The office staff was very helpful and friendly. They even called us an hour before they closed to make sure we understood the late arrival procedures. They have a small selection of items in the office, including sewer hoses. The office, gym, laundry and bathrooms are all clean and modern, well designed and well maintained. While each site has a nice picnic table, there is no grill or fire-pit. The WiFi was adequate for email and Facebook. We got 4 bars of Verizon. We did not try the cable. This is not a family resort but they do have some facilities to make it interesting (e.g., pool, hot tub, meeting room). In terms of layout, hookups, cleanliness and modern facilities, it doesn't get any better than this (well, except for the lack of a fire-pit/grill). We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

About 16 miles south on 101 is King City, which has a nice grocery store and interesting places to eat. We liked California Gourmet Pizza. Pinnacles N.P. East side is a little over an hour away, while the west side is about 35 minutes. (Do NOT take Gloria Rd.; it turns into an extremely narrow dirt road.) Lots of good hiking at Pinnacles, both sides.

This is a really nice RV park. The pull-through sites are long and wide. Although it is close to Highway 101, it is quiet at night. The pull-through sites are large enough for you to keep your tow vehicle attached. If you detach your towed vehicle, it can be hooked up right in the site; no need to move your RV and towed vehicle out to one of the roads. The sites are flared at each end. An experienced driver will have no problem keeping out of the flower beds. This would be a perfect park for an over-night stop over. The park would also be a nice park to stay for several days, because of the amenities. The staff is very accommodating. The park is immaculate. The park is quite new, so it does not look "tired". The park is secure. The gate is locked at 4:00 PM every day and are key code activated. For late arrivals, there is a way to check in after 4:00 PM. The park has a pool, a spa, laundry facilities, a decent exercise room with good quality exercise equipment, an outdoor patio with a fire place, a large picnic area, and a large meeting room with a kitchen filled with commercial quality appliances. For my wife and I, the most special thing is the dog park. This dog park is truly exceptional. We have 3 well-behaved golden retrievers (three dogs per site is the limit), who need to exercise. The dog park/dog runs in most RV parks are a joke if you have a proper sized dog. This dog park is actually a small, fenced garden. It has paths. It has grass. It has a hose bib for the dogs to use. It has two giant concrete pipes for the dogs to run through or to provide a cool place to hide and/or tussle. My three dogs really enjoyed the dog park. There is a coin operated dog bathing area. You can either wash your dog or just squirt them off to get them cool. Each site has a BBQ and a table. The wifi is Tengo Internet and it is controlled/metered. The data allowance is sufficient for most people. Use too much data and you get throttled. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Most of the markets in the town are small. Restaurants in town are local-type. Rancho San Miguel Market is decent. It is also right by the Rite-Aid. The park's web site lists many things to see. It does not list the Monterey County Agricultural & Rural Life Museum in King City, which is worth the trip.

Tired, weary, hungry and no place to stay was our state of affairs when I began looking into a camp sight for the night. I googled "luxury campgrounds near me" and out came Yanks. WHY OH WHY are there not more places like this? Totally clean, nice gym, nice pool, clean bathrooms and laundry, great wifi, picnic table and grill and wonderful landscaping. Loved it and was completely thankful for it. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sites towards the back have beautiful mountain views. About an hour to Monterey and Carmel. 1 1/2 hours to Big Sur (part of PCH was closed from the south due to floods and fires. We drove in from Carmel). 20-30 minutes to vineyards. Hahns had a nice view, and you could bring a picnic lunch. The RV park also offered some complimentary tasting coupons. Pinnacles National Park was about 30 minutes and was very nice. RV park is conveniently located right off 101.
