We used Yanks RV as our base camp for exploring Pinnacles National Park. It is an outstanding RV park, with all sites of concrete, beautifully landscaped, lots of room and excellent hookups. The office staff was very helpful and friendly. They even called us an hour before they closed to make sure we understood the late arrival procedures. They have a small selection of items in the office, including sewer hoses. The office, gym, laundry and bathrooms are all clean and modern, well designed and well maintained. While each site has a nice picnic table, there is no grill or fire-pit. The WiFi was adequate for email and Facebook. We got 4 bars of Verizon. We did not try the cable. This is not a family resort but they do have some facilities to make it interesting (e.g., pool, hot tub, meeting room). In terms of layout, hookups, cleanliness and modern facilities, it doesn't get any better than this (well, except for the lack of a fire-pit/grill). We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

About 16 miles south on 101 is King City, which has a nice grocery store and interesting places to eat. We liked California Gourmet Pizza. Pinnacles N.P. East side is a little over an hour away, while the west side is about 35 minutes. (Do NOT take Gloria Rd.; it turns into an extremely narrow dirt road.) Lots of good hiking at Pinnacles, both sides.

Tired, weary, hungry and no place to stay was our state of affairs when I began looking into a camp sight for the night. I googled "luxury campgrounds near me" and out came Yanks. WHY OH WHY are there not more places like this? Totally clean, nice gym, nice pool, clean bathrooms and laundry, great wifi, picnic table and grill and wonderful landscaping. Loved it and was completely thankful for it. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Everyone in the office was very friendly. Everything was super clean. Spaces are very roomy. Fitness center had adequate equipment like new condition. We were upgraded to a larger pull through spot at no additional cost. Site had BBQ grill. Locking security gate with code to open. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites towards the back have beautiful mountain views. About an hour to Monterey and Carmel. 1 1/2 hours to Big Sur (part of PCH was closed from the south due to floods and fires. We drove in from Carmel). 20-30 minutes to vineyards. Hahns had a nice view, and you could bring a picnic lunch. The RV park also offered some complimentary tasting coupons. Pinnacles National Park was about 30 minutes and was very nice. RV park is conveniently located right off 101.

The campground is very clean and the restrooms and showers are very clean also. The pool is heated and there is a hot tub also. The people that work there are very friendly and accommodating. The sites are level concrete slabs with a picnic table and a BBQ. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Our RV group of 22 rigs camped here for 3 nights. It is a very nice park with a beautiful clubhouse and commercial kitchen. They supplied beautiful cloth tablecloths which they changed daily. They also decorated the tables with lighted lanterns with eggs and grass for Easter (our theme). The staff is friendly, welcoming and very helpful. We highly recommend this park. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park/resort off 101 near Pinnacles NP. Stayed here to go to west entrance, could't get in, GO EARLY or LATE. Nice park, no highway noise. Nice pool/hot tub. Nice laundry facility. Stayed two nights in back in site. Hosts very friendly and accommodating. Great mexican food in Soledad. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is the nicest park that we've stayed at during our 2-years of RVing! Yes, the wind comes up in the afternoon, but once the air museum is built on the north side that should help cut it down a bit. The slots are all concrete slabs - including your hook up area - with an adjoining patio area with picnic tables. There is a nice clean pool, with an outdoor fireplace and couches next to it. A laundry room and exercise room is available. The dog park has plenty of grass and trees - though if you have a small dog it may be able to squeeze through the fence, so keep an eye on it. There is also a dog washing area. Two horseshoe pits a located next to the dog park, which is across a small parking lot from the conference center. (SEE PICTURES) Yanks Air Museum - with 200 restored aircrafts - is scheduled for opening in late 2017. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The park is about 1 hour from the east entrance to Pinnacles National Park and Mission San Antonio - east of King City - next to Fort Hunter Liggett - a US Army training facility, which also has tours during weekdays. King City has San Lorenzo Park, a county park with a Agricultural and Rural Museum featuring vintage farm equipment, historic school house, etc. next to the Salinas River. Monterey is 1 hour north of the park with Cannery Row and the world famous Monterey Bay Aquarium!

Stayed twice on a trip to and from Southern California. Park is everything everyone says about it. We only have two comments. First we felt the showers lacked privacy. Second they are guilty, as many parks are, of not attempting to spread the rigs out rather then simply putting them next to each other as they come in. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

A new RV Park. Site are paved and level. Small patio area at each site. Pool was heated, which was nice going in March. Everyone there was friendly and they took us to our site and asked if there was anything they could help us with. It was extremely windy and the man that helped us said it was normal. He said normally the wind is low in the morning but always kicks up in the afternoon. The tree by our site was bent over because of the wind. Currently there isn't anything around the area to see or go. I would stop here again if I was driving through but it wouldn't be a place I would plan on staying for a couple of days. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

It was our first time staying and we could not have been happier. The staff was friendly and helpful and assisted us in guiding us to our site. It has easy access to and from the freeway. This is a new RV park and it shows, wide cemented pads staggered so as to provide more privacy, picnic tables, cable, internet and full hook-ups. Would stay here again with out a doubt. Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This must be a newer RV park, because everything there looks new, clean, pristine. We only stayed one night but we really liked the park itself. The dog run is second to none - I've never seen such a great dog run before! There's a dog wash, a nice comfy bench to sit on, tunnels, and just lots of space and things to sniff. The view, of course, can't be beat - 360 mountains everywhere you look. And it's even landscaped, which I generally don't see in a dog run. There were even newly planted trees. Our dog LOVED that dog run, and she usually doesn't care for them.

The sites themselves....well, that's why it's only an 8. None of the sites were level that I could tell. Our site was a back-in, and our front tires were VERY close to being off the ground (that is NOT good for an RV, as you well know). We looked around at all of the sites, and they pretty much all had that issue. Aesthetically they couldn't be nicer - the landscaping was wonderful, but level is what's important when it comes to parking an RV.

We just stayed the night, so I don't even know what was nearby, but there was a town a couple of exits down the highway so I'm sure it wouldn't have been difficult to get supplies had we needed to. The view, again, was just spectacular - mountains everywhere you look - it was wonderful.

And the park was silent for the most part - we didn't hear traffic or our neighbors or anything much. We had a great night's sleep there and would definitely stay again. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stopped here for an over-nighter in November. This must be a brand new cg - the office, store, grounds, roads, campsites and etc. were modern and immaculate. We received a warm reception, were guided to our site, and the friendly guide even helped us back in. Our back-in site was 50ft long, level concrete, and plenty wide. The pull-through sites are 75-100 ft long! Our Verizon MiFi worked well here so we didn't test out the cg's free wifi. The cg is a minute away from the freeway - the traffic noise was barely noticeable outside, and we could not hear it at all inside our trailer (our site was at the back of the cg away from the freeway). There's plenty of grass, shrubs and young trees. The cg is surrounded by miles of pleasant farmlands. We will definitely stay again if we are travelling by. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

RV resort in every sense of the word. Most sites are pull through, and long enough for the biggest rig. Roads are surprisingly narrow for a big rig park, with tight turns. Very new park in excellent condition. Good availability, even on busy weekends. We didn't experience high winds, as others have noted. Security gate entrance. Propane and store on site. Huge dog area, with pay dog wash station. Events room good for rallies. We loved it here. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Motorhome.
