Love this TT. The location is great. Can't beat having the river run through the property! Easy enough to back in our 35' motorhome. Has sewer and 30 or 50 amp hook ups. No cell reception but lots to do. They had a live band on Saturday night with complimentary smores by the campfire. Beautiful new outside patio area right outside the rec room with WIFI at rec room. Mini golf, basketball, badmitten, and all kinds of other games offered in rec room. They had an activity sheet with planned activities during the week. Only 5 miles to Yosemite. Very friendly and informative staff. The designated members only area was appreciated. We camped at Yosemite Lakes RV Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park with a small river running through it and very close to Park entrance which we took full advantage of. We stayed in the group area which was just "OK", not great. No cable, WiFi or cell phone service but this was fine as it was what they advertised. The proximity to Yosemite seems to be the justification for this high price but from a value-for-money perspective it's not that great! Laundry is too small for a park this size (and cost). We camped at Yosemite Lakes RV Resort - Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Try to avoid the group area as it's not as good as the other areas and it a hike to get to the waste disposal. Bear RIGHT when you enter and beware, it's a steep road down to the office.

Overall Rating:

The park is beautifully situated in a valley with a stream running through it. We were allowed to pick our own site and there were many types to choose from. We opted for a middle spot rather than backing up against the stream because we were afraid there might be a lot of mosquitoes near the water at night. However, it turned out there were very few bugs because the evenings are quite cold. There was no air or cable TV available and we had no T-Mobile service, but that was what we had expected in this mountainous area, so it was not a problem. The only problem we had was a lack of toilet paper in the women's restroom. We mentioned the issue to the lady at the front desk in the early afternoon and she immediately notified maintenance, but the next morning there still wasn't any toilet paper. We noticed that people were bringing their own. The restrooms were also a fair bit dirtier than most places. However, the park is beautiful and it is very close to Yosemite. We would definitely return to this park. We camped at Yosemite Lakes RV Resort - Thousand Trails in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

If you're visiting Yosemite Valley, it's best to disconnect your trailer and take a day trip. The Tioga Pass is not quite as bad. We navigated it without too much trouble pulling a 19 ft travel trailer. Yosemite is the most beautiful place we have ever been.

Overall Rating:

We camped as Thousand Trails members. More like a campground than and resort, Yosemite Lakes is beautiful with a few negatives. When we were there, the river sites were still under construction from spring floods but they opened during our stay. Good power and water pressure and most, if not all, the sites had sewer. The sites aren't all level but not bad. Friendly staff and a really nice lodge with the upper floor being 18+ only. The river is beautiful but "it's Yosemite" is the real draw. You can't get much closer without staying in the park which can be a real nightmare. The only real downsides are the lack of any cell signal and the "campers." Even at the end of April there were families here and some were in vacation mode, staying up well past quiet hours and letting their kids run rampant. Probably not the case all the time but being so close to the National Park, it's probably not unusual. Definitely not a park that caters only to full timers and snow birds. But for the proximity to Yosemite, it's a minor annoyance. We camped at Yosemite Lakes RV Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Although we came in the off season, it was still a nice visit. I deducted one star because the whole time we were there the WiFi was broken & there is never cell coverage, so it was a long wk with no connections. But the place is pretty with a very nice lodge/game room & everyone was very helpful & friendly. It's about 27 miles to Yosemite Valley, but the closest campground as far as I know. Location is what made this park so great. Close to Yosemite Valley. Also our friends' kids enjoyed playing in the river and floating down it on inner tubes. Laundromat facilities were decent and staff was friendly and courteous. WiFi was nonexistent but they claim they are getting high speed Internet soon. Be sure and bring a lot of insect repellent as the river attracts mosquitoes and everyone got a lot of bites. Park could use a general face lift--roads had some nasty potholes but overall it was fine. We camped at Yosemite Lakes RV Resort - Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is located very close to the Big Oak Entrance to the park, which is convienient. Roads are scary getting to this town, when you are pulling a large camper! 5 mile road with a tough, winding, steep grade. The death of many trucks and campers, I think. Make sure your brakes and transmission are in good shape.

Anyway, the campground is in need of some TLC... there was a flood this spring, we but did not see anyone working to do any repairs while we were there. I do not like the " first come, first get" sites, either. I stressed all day that I would not find a spot. We did find a large pull through, in a large, grassy, dusty meadow. No shade for the pull through sites. Members only in the shady spots, which were all back in spots.

There is NO Verizon at all... we were given directions to drive to a forestry road about 4 miles away to make calls. They have wifi. So weak- and you had to be at the lodge to get any at all. For the price, you'd think they could invest in better equipment.... I'd pay more for that. The small store was convenient, but way expensive! We paid $8.00 for a gallon of milk! I did not think that the people at the desk were very helpful in answering questions about Yosemite Park - which is why most of us were there, I would think! The park! But be there early in the day during Summer season! Get into the park early, park your vehicle, and use the shuttle system. Or take a tour bus - we took one to Glacier Point, and it was great! Don't ask questions at desk about the park- they were not very helpful

We did discover a small beach on the river on our 3rd day - the water was extremely cold, and at the beach small, but it was a nice place to relax.

We have a Thousand Trails zone pass and stayed here for free. The reason we have a zone pass and not one of the more expensive memberships is because we're not particularly impressed with the quality of Thousand Trails campgrounds. Most are pretty run down and don't appear to be well kept. We also find it stressful after a long drive to have to find a first-come first-served site that will work for us. The zone pass helps spread out the costs of other campgrounds so we can stay some place nicer for half the month and stay free or cheap at a TT park for the rest of the month. Anyway, with that said, each TT park is different and some are nicer than others. The main thing that this park has going for it is it's close proximity to Yosemite. It's only 5 miles from the entrance and made it a very convenient place to stay while visiting Yosemite. The park itself is okay. Many sites were unavailable due to recent flooding and electric not working. The playground was falling apart and not open. Mini golf was very worn out. The lodge is pretty nice and WiFi worked well in the lodge. There is zero cellular coverage at this campground. You can drive about 5 miles down the road towards Groveland and get a usable Verizon signal, and inside Yosemite Valley there is a great Verizon 4G signal, but don't expect to be able to use Verizon at all inside the campground, even with a booster, it does not work. The staff is very friendly and we enjoyed our stay, we would stay here again to visit Yosemite. We camped at Yosemite Lakes RV Resort - Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is located in a great location! That is the last good thing I can say about our stay. Our "reservations" were made in March for our May 13th, 2017 arrival. At check in the gentleman explained where our area to park was on the map, #187-#216 and it was "first come first serve". We are a 40 ft, Class A and tow. The pull through sites were large enough, but the problem was a number of sites had no electric. We attempted hook ups 3 times. We found out from other campers, they had the same problem. My husband returned to the office and expressed our dissatisfaction and was told by the office staff that it was early in the season and they didn't know there was a problem. This is a Encore/Thousand Trails resort. We are not members. The grounds had weeds so thick and high they covered some sewer hook-ups. The putt-putt golf area was covered with debris and branches, the playground area was taped off, the laundry facility was adequate with machines, but the floor was filthy and littered with dryer sheets, lint and trash. The office staff was unresponsive. We will not return and cannot recommend this park to other RV'ers. We camped at Yosemite Lakes RV Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Nice Park. Very easy to get to and to get into your site. I don't know how many sites are there but the place is very big. It was not very crowded our weekend. Might be because the west entrance to Yosemite is currently closed, and very rainy. Staff was great and extremely helpful when needed. Located about 14 miles outside of Yosemite off of Highway 120 - Yosemite Lakes is a Thousand Trails park which is affiliated with our RPI membership. The park is clean with full hook ups for RVers and tent campers. There are also cabins and yurts available for rentals. Sites are available by the river, under trees or in the sun - if you prefer.

The only real complaint was the number of flies that always want to hover around your head.

The Country Store is about 1/4 mile away on Hw 120, but their gas is very expensive - about 40 cents more per gallon than in Groveland. However, it has a good variety of items - wine, RV accessories, and souvenirs.

This is a family oriented park with a 9-hole mini golf course, badminton, volleyball, basketball, a swimming hole in the river. NO CELL PHONE SERVICE and in the lodge VEEEEEERY slow wifi! We camped at Yosemite Lakes RV Resort - Thousand Trails in a Travel Trailer.

Yosemite National Park, of course. However, be sure to visit some of the historic communities like Groveland - we had a great lunch at Dori's Tea House on their gated patio area with our dogs! Public parking is behind the ReMax Realtor next to the old town jail!

Very impressed with this campground. Spacious sites and very nicely arranged. Felt like we were in the national park but with hookups. . Mosquitoes were more annoying closer to the creek but nothing a little Off couldn't help with.

Staff was friendly. Hint- take the bus! It's $10 RT and kids under 12 are free. The staff at the campground should be better informed about the bus system. Traffic in the valley is super heavy. We camped at Yosemite Lakes RV Resort - Thousand Trails in a Travel Trailer.

Easy check in for Thousand Trails member. Found a pull-through in the meadows area in direct sun. Satellite TV no problem. There for 2 days when a shady site came open and we moved; still no problem with satellite TV. Needed to add 3 days to stay and office staff was able to do that for us. Used the restroom and shower several times and restroom needs to be updated, but it was clean even with heavy holiday usage. Would stay here again either before or after school is in session. Should be cooler at that time. Roads are dusty and zone campers did not follow the 5 mph speed limit. We camped at Yosemite Lakes RV Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

I must first point out that we stayed here as non-members. Non-members are given "sites" on the other side of the road on a 3-tiered hillside. I had called the reservation line ahead of time because we were unable to make a reservation online with our 5th wheel being a little over 40' and was told that we would have no problem. When we arrived, sites are not assigned - you choose from the remaining available sites. Luckily we were able to squeeze into one of the back-in sites, hanging our back end over the hill. Sites are basically a big dirt curbside next to a hill. Very close together with a view of the road in the non-member section. The amenities need serious updating. Every badminton racket had broken strings, shuffleboard poles were bent, tether ball was tiny, ping pong balls were unusable they were so cheap, and while my kids had a lot of fun playing mini-golf, the course is in rough shape. WiFi was terrible. Some of the member sites along the river looked nice, but very close together. Tent/cabin area was a nice wooded setting. Yosemite Valley and Glacier Point Road are at least an hour's drive. Park is way overpriced for what you get as a non-member. We camped at Yosemite Lakes RV Resort - Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Made reserv. in Feb. & requested sites for 2-38 ft motorhomes w/ slides & 50 AMP & 40 ft Fifth wheel w/slides. We were not advised until arrival that no 50 AMP except for Thousand Trail mars. Advised that we did not speak with the off on location but through Thousand Trails Reservations line. Reservationist was more in tune with attempting to market membership than disclosing information about campground. Resort Mgr was new but extremely cordial. She did allow us to park on sites supposedly with 50 AMP. Our site worked ok but it was horrible to level - concern was refrigerator working properly. The morning after arrival the friend who accompanied us reported the 50 AMP was not working on their site & opted for 30 AMP adapter in order to have any power. Staff advised they would make a service request & no one ever even came to check the out issue over 4 days. Poor power service caused damage to their power plug & melted the adapter. Our friends were fortunate a fire didn't develop. Very unreliable electrical hook-ups. Another couple with our group could not dump their sewage the night before departure because drain lines were full in the sewer system & had to move to another site to be able to dump. This campground is in the Yosemite area about 5 miles from the park entrance. Beautiful wooded area but campground is not properly maintained & needs updating particularly in view of the fact that rates are $61.00 per night for non-members & no wifi except intermittently in the lodge on property. Staff advised they were short in number & most seemed to be newly employed. Would not recommend this campground under current conditions unless you prefer to just have water hook-ups. This is the most expensive campground we visited in 30 day travel period. Had amenities been suitable we would not have objected but this is outrageously expensive under such poor conditions.
