WARNING: Do not stay here and spend your money elsewhere. The camp sites are gravel/woodchips and there is dust everywhere. The RV got very dirty quickly. We had panhandlers and homeless people from around town come to our spot demanding handouts. They also camp out in the bathrooms. The drunks that live in this park will scream at all hours of the night, throw up everywhere and will accost you as you take an evening walk. Beer bottles, broken glass, and dog poop is everywhere. There are scattered islands of shantytowns, broken cars and motorcycles that are constantly being worked on throughout the night. When they DO work they drive too fast and throw the rocks that make up their makeshift road all over your vehicles and RVs.It is nowhere near the actual beach.

Bed bugs are embedded in the laundry facility. Plan your trip accordingly outside and around this town. It's a tourist trap. We camped at Half Moon Bay RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

What a junk yard! We have stayed at the state park here and at another CG in the past, but could not get in. Had to stay somewhere for 2 nights so this was it. Never again. Though the staff were friendly, the park is a dust bowl and is full of permanent or semi-permanent construction workers. Nothing wrong with that if it is neat, but this place is crowded, we were packed in like sardines. Can't open windows due to campfires and smokers right under the window. For the price - not at all worth it. We camped at Half Moon Bay RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

The place is nothing to get excited about, it is pricey but its saving grace is the pub/restaurant next door. Seems like many of the sites are permanent residents so you get all the fencing, clutter around that goes with it. People across from us must have had 6-7 little dogs than ran around in the fence area enclosing the site and barked nonstop at everything. Place has potential if it gets a facelift. Dusty park with too many people living there. If you have a car coastal access is fine. We camped at Half Moon Bay RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

The really good part of it is the English Pub that started it all. Great place to eat at and has a dog friendly patio as well. The office folks are great. Otherwise, it's WAY overpriced and their website is misleading. An ocean view is over a mile away. Closest public beach is almost two miles. The town dog park is over a half mile away. Nothing but dust and gravel although they've put wood chips down here and there. We've stayed at lots of CGs with little else, but what was really bad (and we've two dogs traveling with us) is the monumental amount of dog poo everywhere. The CG has many bag stations, but doesn't seem to care what owners do. We camped at Half Moon Bay RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Staff very nice, enjoyed stay. However, pricey, few spots for overnighters, VERY close sites (our 38er almost hit big rig behind us), odd utility placement (even with 2 10' hoses, we had to pull about 15' forward to empty into sewer fixture), dusty (if road through park chip sealed even, would be better), not short walk to ocean if not an avid walker (we walked 1/2 mile and it was still at least 1/2 mile away, never got to see ocean, bring your bike). Great pet park and spots to play for dogs. Fun atmosphere outside around Cameron's. Will go back again because of Cameron's, with realistic expectations of site and distance to ocean. We camped at Half Moon Bay RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

It's close to the Bay area, so compared to a hotel, it's cheap. Compared to other rv parks outside of California, it's pretty pricey. It's just a gravel lot and you are very close to other campers. WiFi did not work good at all. There is a very nice field and wooded area right outside of the park that my dogs had a blast in. We camped at Half Moon Bay RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

I stayed for 3 nights in a motorhome. The site was small but knew that going in,very dusty, no place to park towed, only 30 amp service, barking dogs, and unlevel site. I personally believe that for what you have, price was outrageous. I will never stay again. We camped at Half Moon Bay RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Great location next to beautiful dog friendly beach and a decent pub which is wonderful. BUT, the park is very dusty and all the good sites are given to long termers. There is nothing visually appealing about the place at all. If the owner were to at least tarmac the roads it would be better. One night to recharge your batteries and spend a lovely morning at the beach is all I can recommend. We camped at Half Moon Bay RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Best rates for the area. Gravel/dirt sites are somewhat unlevel and extremely close. Individual bathrooms with showers were not as clean as they should be. Trash was left on our campsite and I asked several times for it to be cleaned up. At 8:00am every morning the business next door starts moving things with a forklift and "beep beep beep" is heard all day along with the lady yelling something in Spanish on the intercom. We camped at Half Moon Bay RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

For $75 a night ($84 with tax), you get a great location on Route 1...40 minutes from San Francisco. You can walk to the beach but it's about a mile. Nice location for Half Moon Bay and for touring up and down Route 1. The bad is the campground is all gravel, limited privacy, sites not level (sloping back to front), and lots of road noise all day and night. The best sites, the biggest and farthest away from the road, were taken by long term campers. New, clean showers, all new utilities, nice people running the business. Great location for visiting the Bay Area, and that's what you're paying for. We camped at Half Moon Bay RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

The parkmanagement is top notch, anticipating her guest's needs, going out of her way to welcome and make sure her campground is full of happy campers. While we there the manager arranged a BBQ for us all to get to know one another, supplying the food and drink, which was excellent. This is a newer, friendly, quiet RV park and campground. It is located behind Cameron's Pub, just off Cabrillo Hwy. They offer spacious showers with toilets, (just like your bathroom at home but possibly bigger!) and a laundry room which was just put in. The sites are large, accommodating our 39 ft 5th wheel, tow vehicle, Ford Explorer, and canoe with room to spare. Each site has a picnic table. The sites are bark dust and gravel, no trees on the sites, but the park itself is surrounded by trees and shrubs. Due to the mild weather trees are not really needed at the sites. This is a great extended stay campground, as well as nightly or weekly. Monthly rates at the time we stayed were $1200. (This included electricity.) At first I had sticker shock but after the welcome from the manager and all she does to accommodate her guests as well as the wonderful beach and hiking trails, this is a bargain. The most magnificent part of this campground is the close proximity to the miles of pristine beaches and wonderful biking and hiking trails. Every day my 2 labs (yes, Bonus, They are big dog friendly!) and I would hike the quarter mile to the beach, soaking in the gorgeous vistas from the hiking trails along the bluff to the ocean. Making our way down the ravine we spent hours searching for sea glass, with the beach all to ourselves most of the time. We spotted whale, seals and Pelicans, to name a few of the vast array of sea life. Cameron's Pub is a fun place, we loved the shuffleboard and they make a dynamite pizza. They have an eclectically decorated group BBQ spot, horseshoe pits and volleyball. Did I mention "The Clubhouse?" it is the Silver Bullet, an Airstream trailer decked out for the most fun BBQ's complete with hammocks. This park is a standout jewel, the most wonderful piece of sea glass I have ever found. Fun, playful and friendly, close to a beautiful beach and a wonderful manager, who in my book makes this whole camping while working thing worthwhile. Thanks for a wonderful stay! We camped at Half Moon Bay RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
