The only draw backs are the lack of shade trees, the duck poop and horrible wifi. Beautiful views, clean, mowed and very peaceful. River & birds are a great sedative. We camped at Blue Heron RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a destination RV Park though sadly a major storm was coming and we could only stay one night. I believe every site had a view of the rushing river. We thought it very forward thinking of the park designers to make this a pull in site considering the best views for each site. Sites are very big and star gazing on a cold winter night very romantic. We had no cell phone, wifi, and didn't try TV. More than anything we appreciated an isolated full hook up site in the middle of January. Yes the road into the park is pretty bad but it is paved and not really dangerous. Only saw one other car on it. We camped at Blue Heron RV Park in a Motorhome.

Middle of nowhere in extreme Northern California. Don't come here if you depend on Wal Mart or Amazon shopping.

Located about 6 miles East of I-5. The county road to the park is in rough condition. Upon arrival you will need to drive to the far end of the park to check-in. The cement spaces are unusual in that they all appear to be pull-in which means if you have a trailer your truck will be in the front of the site. If you are able to back in the utilities would be on the opposite side. Ideal for a motor home, especially on the sites facing the river. No cable or OTA TV reception. T-mobile, AT&T and Sprint did not connect and the park wifi did not work. We observed about five wild horses along the banks of the river in the park. They seemed to pay little attention to the campers. We enjoyed the peace we had here and just hope the county upgrades the road soon. We camped at Blue Heron RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very quiet, very spacious; you don't know that your neighbors are next to you. All you hear is the river. It's too bad the restaurant is closed due to the owners husband's death. We enjoyed the food and the local people last time we stayed here. We camped at Blue Heron RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park is about 4 miles from I-5 on a windy, narrow asphalt road, but well worth it. A deer ran across it right in front of us. The manager was nice, and they show pride of ownership. It's right on the Klamath River, and we are looking forward to seeing the blue herons tomorrow. I jumped out of my chair when a LOUD sound came from over my shoulder. I looked out my window and there were 2 horses that were snorting! We camped in a 38 foot motorhome with Jeep and loved it! We camped at Blue Heron RV Park in a Motorhome.

We simply loved this place! Quiet and peaceful located along the Klamath River. Spacious sites that are very well designed with views and privacy in mind. Wild horses come down into camp at dusk and add to the wildlife experience. The owner is very nice and honest. We definitely will stay here again! Wonderful place, six miles from I-5. Quiet, scenic, clean, modern yet quaint. One of our best RV parks ever. Level concrete sites with FHU and lots of grass between sites and around the grounds. A friendly dog and tame horses visited our rig. Trees have been planted and are maturing. Restrooms are clean with floor heat. There is a laundry. Only four rigs in the 27 spaces. Our rate is Passport America. Friendly owner says she is closing in a year, so if you are interested in having a beautiful park, you might ask if she's selling. If you looking for a familiar, quiet campground with a nice few over the river, sometimes wild horses around you and you didn't need TV and telephone ore internet service is this campground right for you.

They offer wifi, but the signal was only strong enough near the office and the ping was with 750ms awful and AT&T service does not exist in this area, we also didn't receive any TV channels with our antenna.

But sometimes is nice to relax without TV, telephone or internet, so we enjoyed the two nights and the visit of a herd of wild horses and the two gentle horses from the owners.

A drop of bitterness is to charge us a $2 extra fee per night for our dogs. We camped at Blue Heron RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nose in parking with the Klamath River in view. Large parking pad with space for your tow plus a patio with a table. Excellent spacing of sites. Fish, float or just enjoy the Klamath River running in front of your site. Five miles off I-5 but worth it. We camped at Blue Heron RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice spot 6 miles off I-5. No over the air TV or TV service. Nice bathrooms and showers. Wifi was slow so we just sent a few txt messages. Staff was very friendly and the Klamath river was right there and you could jump in. Lightly occupied with large sites. Utilities were on wrong side for 5th wheel back in, but our hardware reached it just fine. We camped at Blue Heron RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a quiet, lovely park along the Klamath River. We stayed there twice; once on the way up to Portland ( 4 days) and once on the way back to Sacramento(2 days) to do cleanout for storage. We were surprised that we had the park basically to ourselves both times. The wifi is spotty, which we find is usually the case in RV parks) and there is no Verizon cell service so it felt a bit off the grid with full hook ups. Lots of bird watching and there are two free range horses that are very friendly who wander the park. Owners are very friendly and there is even a decent restaurant on the property. We enjoyed seeing the stars at night. We found it very relaxing and a great alternative to other parks in the area that are on I5. We will stay here again. We camped at Blue Heron RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The park was clean and beautifully located on the Klamath River. Easy to pull into but must back out. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi was strongest close to office but no service at our site. No cell service. Site was flat, scenic with plush green grass. Plus, the two beautiful, friendly horses grazing around throughout the park, was an added bonus for us. Love horses. We camped at Blue Heron RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice place to stay. A little too far off the freeway for a one nighter. I had a pull through, but would recommend using the pull in you face the river. The only thing that would have made this a great place was a beach. The restaurant was great. We camped at Blue Heron RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very well kept park 6 miles off I-5. Very large level pads with good power. Great views, lots of space. Check-in was easy, she came to our rigs! Spotless restrooms! The prime rib dinner was super, lots of locals eating there. BUT, I need cell or Wi-Fi; not being able to stay in touch does not work for us. If you want/can get away without having to be "connected" this IS the place. We camped at Blue Heron RV Park in a Motorhome.
