We had a fantastic time during our stay at Park Delta Bay. We arrived later at night, and they had affixed the map with a guide to our site at the entrance gate. When we checked in the next morning, the staff made us feel completely at home, and were extremely accommodating with any request we had. Our site was level, spacious, and under a beautiful, shady canopy. We took full advantage of the amenities, including the tennis courts, well-priced laundry, and an arcade game or two in the large rec room. It was a little too chilly for us to check out the pool, but we did enjoy the picnic tables under the tent while waiting for our laundry to be done. This was also when it became clear that a lot of new projects were being completed, with friendly staff painting away and checking to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Each night, we made our way across the street to the fishing pier to relax in the fading light. This park offered perfect access to a little-known slice of paradise hidden away in California, and the sunsets over the delta were incredible every time. We camped at Park Delta Bay (formerly Sacramento River/Delta KOA) in a Motorhome.

After weeks of exploring Southern California, this was a great stop for us to unwind and catch our breath. The California Delta is beautiful, especially at sunset. Park Delta Bay is very well kept, with spacious and shady spots, great wifi, all the amenities you need (including the best dog park we've had at an RV park so far), and friendly people. It was also a convenient location for us to day trip to San Francisco! We had a great stay! We camped at Park Delta Bay (formerly Sacramento River/Delta KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 6 nights in June 2017. The section is we stayed in (rows A-D) had long, level pull-through sites with full hookups (30Amp), and had beautiful trees that provided lots of welcome shade. The other side of the park had some trees, but not as many, and just wasn't as pretty. There is a small pool, but it wasn't open during our stay. There are tennis courts and small dog park. The staff was very friendly. Right across the street is a marina with a small store and a deck - we watched the sunset there a couple nights and it was very nice. The park is located on the Delta Loop which is a road that runs along the San Joaquin River. The breeze off of the river blows right through the park and it was so nice to sit outside under the trees. There are several marinas, restaurants, and a few other RV parks on the Delta Loop. It's a very laid-back area that reminded me a bit of old Florida. The nearby town of Isleton has a historic main street and an excellent BBQ restaurant run by a man from Mississippi, so he knows his BBQ! This location would be good for exploring San Francisco, Napa, and Lodi - are all within an hour's drive. The park was bought by new owners a few years ago and it is evident that they are putting in a lot of work to improve it and make it nice. There is a section for RV storage that included several very old, junky RVs, a boat, and a car that all looked like they hadn't been moved in years. You have to take Highway 12 to get to this area, and it's a 2-lane highway with people who seem to want to drive 100 mph. Every time we were on this highway it stressed us out as we were constantly being tail-gated/passed by aggressive drivers. This is not the park's fault obviously, but something to consider if you plan to come here. The cell service was strong. We camped at Park Delta Bay (formerly Sacramento River/Delta KOA) in a Motorhome.

This is a destination resort on the San Joaquin River. Great location for extended stay if you are visiting San Francisco Bay Area, Napa, or Sacramento. Fishing and boating paradise. Nice shaded sites with the delta breeze, even though temperature was high we didn't need A/C under the trees. We camped at Park Delta Bay (formerly Sacramento River/Delta KOA) in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed our week spent at Park Delta Bay. Our spot was nice and shaded and the park was peaceful and quiet. The wifi worked great. They have a lot of amenities including a pool, tennis courts and game room. It is located on the Delta and not to far from a lot of different farms and wineries. We camped at Park Delta Bay (formerly Sacramento River/Delta KOA) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Visited in early December and park was pretty quiet. Nice location with specatacular sunsets over the water. Roads to get there are all on top of levees and can be narrow and rough but any size RV can make it if you drive carefully. Campground recently changed management and from talking with some residents of the park has been getting a facelift. Restrooms were centrally located and clean. Pool was closed for winter. Dogs loved the dog park and we enjoyed walking the levees. Campground has beautiful trees that had fall colors and sure would be nice for shade in the summer. Cellular signal was very strong on sprint and Verizon . We camped at Park Delta Bay (formerly Sacramento River/Delta KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

Have stayed here several times over the past few years ( when a KOA)The new management has trimmed trees and refreshed the gravel roads. There now seems to be an encampment of permanent residents complete with several old cars and out buildings at their sites. The pool , as usual was polluted and yellow with algae. The shower& restrooms were never cleaned over the entire week-end and wastebaskets and paper littered the floor. The park was busy and attention to this basic duty was necessary. We camped at Park Delta Bay (formerly Sacramento River/Delta KOA) in a Motorhome.

The nicest of the Delta parks. Don't come here expecting a super fancy concrete resort park. Come here for the nature that is the delta. After reading the reviews from the others I felt I needed to say that. This is a older park in the California Delta. Its been neglected in the past but new owner is doing a good job of reviving it. Roads are gravel, sites are mostly grass and dirt. Pool was well maintained. Showers and bathrooms were clean and well kept up. The people were friendly. Staff was nice and courteous and helpful. Lots of trees and shade. The spot were we camped was shady and nice. Its across the water from a marina and next to a store and restaurant. Tips for other Campers:

Located on the "Delta Loop" so there's quite a few restaurants and marinas. Park is located next to a nice restaurant and general store. About a mile (or less) from the closest boat launch. Rio Vista is about 6 miles and Lodi is 20 miles away.

There were 3 family's plus our family, 2 family's used RV sites, 1 family rented trailer, 1 family tent camped. We were all very happy with the park, the people that work there are very nice, helpful and great to deal with. They allowed us to arrive early without charging us, we left late without being charged extra. The game room, pool , dog park were all very nice. All of us booked our next camp out in October before we left to make sure we got ten sites we wanted. We camped at Park Delta Bay (formerly Sacramento River/Delta KOA) in a Travel Trailer.

Very clean, bath house has been recently renovated and saw maintenance people painting and working on other upgrades. Staff was friendly and accommodating, pretty grounds (love the big trees), and convenient location on the Delta Loop. I had a very relaxing visit - birdsong during the day, crickets and frogs at night. If you come in spring like I did you beat the crowds and everything is amazingly green.

Note that while this place is right on the San Joaquin river the campsites do not have water views. None of the RV parks in this area have water views because they're all on the other side of levees by necessity. That being said, the water is just on the other side of the levee road and the fishing dock offers good sunset views. I'd definitely stay again. We camped at Park Delta Bay (formerly Sacramento River/Delta KOA) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Anyone visiting the Delta should drive up 160 toward Sacramento and tour all the orchards, farms, and wineries. Even if you had all day you couldn't visit them all but it's a beautiful drive.

The campground is not clean and needs maintenance. This park does not feel like a KOA; it's more like a poorly operated privately owned park. Nice trees throughout the park is the only real positive feature. The roads and sites are dirt. Our MH shakes when vehicles drive by because of the spongy ground. There were only a few occupied RV's during our stay. There are few long term RV's (trailers) in the park that are in fair condition. It is very quiet at night., but at about 6:00am several people leave for work in their noisy diesel trucks. During the day there is mild noise from farm equipment, but generally it is pleasantly quiet. Sites are rather close but with few RV's in the park it is quite pleasant; I'm sure that will change soon. Typical 30/50 electric. Site is level but uneven. Ground is soft so use pads. The water has about 35psi and is quite cold but smells and tastes of minerals (zinc?) Water was turned off for 24 hours for maintenance without notice, just a note on the office door that I happened to see. The sewer connection is quite high, about a foot above grade. No cable, but OTA from Sacramento is very good. Internet access is sporadic at best, usually it just doesn't work and that's with only a few park guests. It is free, so I guess you get what you pay for. T-Mobile hotspot is good enough for basic internet. The laundry needs help. Cabin linens are stacked everywhere. Four washers/dryers that have seen better days. $1.25/wash .75/dry. The shower/restrooms are kept clean but also need help. They wash down the walls and floor but there is poor ventilation so it condensates and drips off the ceiling. The pool is very small. Closed at this time and not maintained; looks like a stagnant pond. The staff was average; no problems. There were no social events during our stay and no evidence of park organized activities. This park is very remote on bad roads. Many miles to shopping or other services. There are a few restaurants nearby. We camped at Park Delta Bay (formerly Sacramento River/Delta KOA) in a Motorhome.

Haven't been here in a few years. Nothing fancy but quiet and clean. Dirt/grass sites kinda level. It's messy in the rain. Lots of shade trees, which keep it cool. Staff was helpful, Wi-Fi was fast, restrooms were old but clean and stocked. Dog park is nice and in the shade. We will be back. There are 2 access points from Highway 12. The west end one is a rough section of road to the top of the dike while that from the east is smoother, but twisty. Road on top of dike more narrow than the 12, but is not that difficult. The campground in off the dike and thus a hill in and out but not nasty. Friendly staff and level site. Services worked well and had very strong free Wi-Fi. Aerial TV reception was good. They recycle now. Staff were in the process of doing some serious limbing of trees and no one should have an issue for a few years. Good games room. Only issue we had was the garbage pick-up early (pre-dawn) on one of the nights we were here, otherwise we found it to be very quiet. Would stay again should we ever be in the area. We camped at Park Delta Bay (formerly Sacramento River/Delta KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

Good location. Not the best maintained KOA. A very grumpy camp host. No recycling. Store almost empty. Easy to bike ride and good access for a kayak. Would return as it is convenient, but will look at other options too. We camped at Park Delta Bay (formerly Sacramento River/Delta KOA) in a Motorhome.

Very spacious, shady, and level sites. Nice staff. We enjoyed the large, fenced dog area. Everything worked well and was well maintained. No cable TV, but there were many broadcast stations available. WiFi was extra, but it worked very well and we had a choice of antennas throughout the park, so we had a strong signal and the speed was better than most. We made day trips to Napa, San Francisco, and Stockton because the park is nicely located. We enjoyed the park, and would love to come back. We camped at Park Delta Bay (formerly Sacramento River/Delta KOA) in a Motorhome.
