Not a big place. Several back-in spots, decent size, with picnic tables and all the necessities. Store doesn't have anything. River access just down from the bluff where the RVs and rental cabins/park models are. Nice view from a few sites and rental cabins. Not a lot of maintenance going on here, but everything was okay. The most amazing thing was the silence at night, and I do mean silence. It was very restful. I'd come back here again. I bet it is not so quiet in the middle of summer, but in early June it was just delightful. Highway 299 is construction central, so don't be in a hurry. We camped at Big Foot in a Fifth Wheel.

Nothing much out here except the river. Back to Weaverville (20 minutes) for shopping, restaurants, fuel, etc.

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $35.00

We enjoyed this park. Its very remote. You have to drive several hours on CA 299 to get there. The road is twisty and there are a lot of steep hills. They are currently doing major road construction on it.

This park has great access to the Trinity River. Fly fishing is popular here. We camped at Big Foot in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Great fly-fishing and within a day-trip distance to the Coastal Redwoods.

The roads are good but steep and windy. Road construction was a real pain. We sat in traffic for quite a while.

Conveniently located halfway along Hwy 299 on the Trinity River. Big sites, easy to access. Verizon signal poor. Spotless swimming pool. We camped at Big Foot in a Fifth Wheel.
