Very well maintained grassy park right on the river. Must make a very wide turn into park and down hill. Views of river from rows other than side by trees. Sat comes in from the front two rows also. No verizon cell or internet. We camped at Klamath River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Eat at red log cabin cafe just across bridge off 101. Take jet boat ride down and up river Drive road on N side of river after crossing bridge out to view of ocean and river estuary. Also drive loop to see fake farmhouse used in WWII as lookout.

This a picture perfect spot! Very peaceful! Very friendly and courteous staff who leads you to your site and explains all the hookups and facilities. Cable tv and WiFi are sufficient and the View! Wow. Love camping on grass tho I was not able to get down to the water it was still wonderful to just sit and look at the view. We camped at Klamath River RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Klamath River RV Park is on our all-time top-ten list after having stayed in hundreds of campgrounds as full-time motorhome travelers. The river views are right out of a postcard scene. In addition, this is one of the best managed and staffed campgrounds in our experience. Klamath River RV is convenient to The Redwood National and State Parks, where we took hikes nearly every day. We definitely plan to enjoy more time at Klamath River RV. We camped at Klamath River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The turn into the campground from the local road was very tight for our 40-ft motorhome. We had to swing out into oncoming lane to negotiate the turn into the campground. This entrance is close to a blind curve, so oncoming traffic might not see you swinging wide. There were logging trucks and gravel trucks traveling that local road. Give a blast on your horn to warn oncoming traffic, or proceed another 0.6 miles past the campground entrance to make a U-turn in a safer parking lot.

This is our second time here. New owner/attitude- much better. Great setting right on the river, protected from the wind. Level site, hookups worked fine. Would recommend to anyone. We camped at Klamath River RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We love this park! The owner and camp hosts are freindly and helpful. The only negatives were the weak WiFi signal and lack of river access. Clean restrooms and showers. Site surface is grass and features a picnic table.

This is the second time we have stayed here, and we will be back! We camped at Klamath River RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The Klamath River is the star of the show and is within fifty feet of the RV site. Work is to start shortly to improve river access, which was destroyed by last winters heavy rains.

Under new management changes are on the horizon. Could be a beautiful place, as it is nestled on the fantastic Klamath River, one of longest in the country. Campsites are surrounded by a Redwood forest. Pull throughs are nice, electric and water pressure are good. Internet is OK, Verizon phones or jet-packs are useless. Nice park on the Klamath river. Friendly host that took us right to our site. We chose it for it's proximity to the coastal redwoods, where we did hikes for a couple days. Bathroom and shower were in good shape and clean. We camped at Klamath River RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautifully kept park facing the Klamath River. Very friendly staff. Used the very clean bathrooms and the excellent laundry facility. There is a coffee shop for morning coffee. The pull through sites were pretty close together. Our only complaint was that the Wifi and internet connection (phones and hot spot) were NIL! Nor was there any antennae access to TV. Good access to Redwood parks though. We camped at Klamath River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great owner, we had a riverfront pull through site that was great. Excellent area and very well maintained campground. A little ways off the highway but no trouble finding. We had not planned to stay here but we were tired and decided to try, we were not disappointed and will make this a planned stop in on our next trip north. We stayed in one of the "riverfront" spaces...owner was attentive to not put folks next to one another because the park was not full...we had lots of space around us. Grass site, great river and hill views...cell service was spotty...otherwise a ten! Four miles to the ocean...beautiful area. We will stay here again. This is a great location for visiting Redwoods National Park and Klamath. It's also only about a 30 minute drive to Crescent City. The river sites have beautiful views. The sites are very close together if the park is full, but thankfully they space out the RVs if they're not full. So the sites on either side of us were empty giving us a little bit of breathing room. The check-in process was easy and the hosts are very friendly. I didn't expect to have any cell coverage there, but Verizon actually worked with 3G and with a booster we had 1 or 2 bars of 4G. The only reason I don't give this place 5 stars is because of the "kid tax". That is what our community of fulltime RV families call it when a park charges extra for kids. This park charges $4 per day per child. We have 2 kids so we had to pay $8 extra per day. For a family that has more than 2 kids this could get very expensive. It seems unfair to charge extra for our kids that stay in our RV. There are certain parks that we don't mind paying extra for kids if the park has kid-friendly amenities like a bounce pad, playground, mini-golf, etc. However, this park has no amenities for kids so I don't think they should be charging extra for kids. We camped at Klamath River RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very good location, clean park, nice owner. Would have given it higher rating except that only one row of park has 50amp and they are on a rolled hill that makes fully extended legs barely level. Grassy spots, good wifi, quiet. Spots are close together but easy to get into and out. No real complaints other than size and levelness of sites. We camped at Klamath River RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Beautiful location along the river. We got to see sea lions, seals, and river otter. Grassy sites which is no problem, but after days of rains it did get a little slushy. Management and staff extremely friendly. We even joined them for a campfire before they close for the season. My understanding is that it is new owners and they are making several improvements. Wifi worked fine but maybe due to the park being almost empty since end of season. No AT&T cell signal at all. But our phones have wifi calling so it was not an issue. Only warning is the entrance to the park is a pretty sharp turn and down a hill, but manageable. We camped at Klamath River RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Just down the road is the Newton Drury Scenic Byway. Not to be missed. Several pull-offs to view the redwoods. We spotted a herd of elk. The drive-thru tree is one exit north of the park. I learned the hard way that a 2007 Dodge 2500 will not fit thru the tree. I had to back out and broke some of the plastic on the mirror - but still got the picture :) Take a drive down river from the RV park and take the Alder Camp road and then the Coastal road for some great views.
