Don Pedro is a wonderful lake, but the campgrounds are mostly average. The rangers are friendly and helpful, but they did nothing to enforce "quiet time" after 10pm. Friday night is an especially notorious party scene with people playing loud music, socializing, and generally having a good old time well past midnight. If you're not part of that scene then good luck trying to sleep. Saturday night was much quieter, mostly because the party crowd was exhausted after a full day on the lake with hangovers. Our particular site was not private at all, but there are some good spots to be had if you know the park. Although we plan to stay here again at some point, we are going to do our best to avoid Friday night. We camped at Fleming Meadows Rec Area in a Travel Trailer.Undo

The attraction here is Don Pedro Lake. If you are not a boater or fisherman, there is not much reason to go here. Roads and sites are paved with fresh blacktop. Many sites are cramped; some require a steep back-in. Hook-ups worked well. Store is well stocked and staff is friendly. Bathrooms were not serviced during the weekend. Their website is a plus, there are photos and a description of every site. We camped at Fleming Meadows Rec Area in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $35.00
This is a decent park to stay at if you plan on doing other activities such as fishing and boating. There are no waterfront sites however there are a few sites that have a view of the lake. The marina is at least 1/4 mile away and not walking distance but the campsite is relatively close to the boat ramp. Our site was tight. There was not even enough room to sit on the side of our motorhome under the awning and a little dangerous for our little ones; however there are a few sites that are quite nice - check the website and with the person accepting reservations. Date of Stay: April, 2006 - $43.00
For the area you'll find nothing nicer. We camped here in April 2006 for a family fishing trip and had a great time! Staff was friendly, sites are a little tight for big rigs so make sure that you let the staff know during reservation what type of rig you have. Sites were clean and well kept. Would definently stay here again. We camped at Fleming Meadows Rec Area in a Motorhome.Undo
This is a county run park and well maintained, bathrooms show age but were clean. There are a number of sites with lake views but none on the water. There is no swimming pool but a swimming lagoon which is family oriented with amenities. Sites are easy to get in and out of with hilly terrain. Lake is designed for all types of water sports and fishing. Access roads and sites were just paved this year "2003." We camped at Fleming Meadows Rec Area in a Travel Trailer.Undo
