Easy in/out, friendly, efficient staff. Had an issue with the power and they came quickly to resolve our problem. For our troubles, they brought us two bottles of wine which we thought was very nice. Downside of park is sites are mostly dirt with some small gravel. Also, large dog park that was dirt. Hard to keep everything (and everyone) clean. Small pool looked nice but we did not use. We camped at Boulder Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

4 miles so to Lone Pine. Drove to Whitney Portal where the hikers start the trek to top of Mt. Whitney. Beautiful waterfall within a few yards of parking lot. Also, small store and grill. Drive thru the Alabama Hills with great rock formations. Many movies filmed in the area.

A bit expensive, but nice park. Lots of trees, groomed areas for the dogs, close to trails and attractions. We camped at Boulder Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

More of a camping atmosphere than most RV parks. Campfires permitted at site. All sites are sand with no gravel or patio. Dog run is gigantic but there is only one. When making reservations, we expressed we might want to stay a week but only booked for one as we weren't sure. When we arrived, we were told if we wanted to stay a week we would probably have to move to different sites and our one night would not count toward a week with a free night. Almost felt like they discouraged us from staying more than one night. If in the area, we would stay again but would surely book for exactly what we would want. We camped at Boulder Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

A nice place to stay when visiting the area. They have Cable, but we found the connection "iffy". Picture was snowy on all channels. We were in newer part of park so shade was minimal. We've stayed here before. We camped at Boulder Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed 2 nights. Great location, just a few miles south of Lone Pine. Park was busy, almost full every night, and well kept. Spaces are very close to each other.

Check in was smooth. Good value for price. Staff friendly. Nice showers, but a bit of a challenge to get to if you're disabled. Have to go to the front of the park, right outside the business entrance, then walk down a narrow walkway that is elevated from the road. There is a very wide and heavy iron or steel screen door that must be opened to get into the shower/bathroom area. I found it a bit difficult while trying to steer my walker.

Would stay again for sure. We camped at Boulder Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here on the way up to the Sierras, and it's a very good, solid RV park, with a nice amount of space between most of the sites. We like to stay in the back, around space 156. Very clean, level sites with full hookups, and the best view of Mt. Whitney you'll find. We had some mechanical trouble and our trip was delayed and the staff was excellent in working with us, and reserving a space at short notice. We were told that the park was filled that night and we were lucky to get in, however, we saw a lot of empty spaces around. Not sure what was going on with that comment. We camped at Boulder Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This site is perfect for hikers to use. The Alabama Hills entrance almost across the street. Lone Pine is several miles to the North and Whitney Portal. They can also arrange trips to Cerro Gordo, the private ghost town in the mountains. Many other hiking and outdoor attractions nearby.

Nice long pull through sites with no need to unhook toad. Sites are level so minimal leveling is needed. The pool and jacuzzi are clean and nice and very refreshing in summer months. Cable TV minimal but we had a site with good rooftop reception for satellite TV. WiFi was out but we have our own so no problem. We have stayed here before and park is well maintained. Nicest in area. We camped at Boulder Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We Stayed here 3 years ago and nothing much has changed including the cloudy pool that we decided not to use. The price of coarse went up some. They also charge for extra people and when I made reservations told them 4 adults coming but one of them canceled and I mentioned that when I checked in they penciled it in but I just realized they still charged me for 4. They still have free muffins juice and coffee in the morning at the clubhouse. This is a good spot for an over night. We stayed in the back so road noise not a problem. The little western theme park is decorated nice with pretty views of surrounding areas. We spent more time around Lone Pine this trip. Must see is nearby Movie Museum even if your not a movie buff this museum is done up really nice. Then go see Alabama Hills Rec area to see where 100's of movies and TV shows were shot. Movie road turnoff is not marked and dirt. But you don't have to go far to get an idea of its surrounding beauty. Also a good starting point if you arrive from the south of town is a beautiful Visitor Center with ample parking at the junction 395 and 136 to Death Valley. Here I also learned that what I always thought the tallest looking mountain was not Mt. Whitney was actually barely visible from the road or much further back making it appear smaller. The whole area of Owens Valley geology is fascinating this center tells all about it with lots of good books to choose from. We camped at Boulder Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The park is nice, clean and convenient. The sites are mostly pull through and easy in and out. Roads are paved and sites are gravel. Our site is level but have seen a few of the shorter ones closer to the highway which are not so I can understand the comments by other reviewers. There does seem to be some variation in site length too. The owners have planted lots of trees which is very nice but we did have to snip a little before putting out one of the slides. The office staff is friendly and the park offers three cabins for rent. The tent sites are, for once, close to the restrooms. Verizon phone works well and Verizon internet is 4g. We would happily stay here again. We camped at Boulder Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The only grocery store in town has limited offerings so not the ideal place to stock up. If you are a wine drinker, it too is limited and expensive.

Direct access to and from US395. Interior roads are asphalt, lots of room, most of the sites in lower CG are drive-thru. Sites are gravel & sand, separated by rocks. W/S/E 30/50A, CTV 24 channels, free Wi-Fi but our Jet Pak worked great here. Some shade trees, store, and on site propane. We did not use the CG restrooms/showers, or the laundry. Staff was friendly and helpful, good information about local things to see and do. This CG has street lights and fire hydrants. Although CG is next to US395 noise was not an issue. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring/BBQ. Staff doesn't stack campers on top of each other, leave room between occupied sites for a little privacy. We camped at Boulder Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Alabama Hills Café has great breakfast/lunch, maps of the Alabama Hills approach to Mount Whitney. Pizza Factory was okay. Must visit the Manzanar Historical Site just west of US395 between Independence and Lone Pine. Alabama Hills old movie and TV series locations all over the place...including Star Trek, Star Wars, Iron Man, Lone Ranger, John Wayne flicks. AND, the Lone Pine Theatre Historic feature in town.

While the sites are long and clean, there are numerous rocks, trees, and utility stations that make for difficult entrance/exits from the assigned spaces. There is a very large (wide and long) off-leash dog enclosure that was great. We camped at Boulder Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed for two nights and were impressed with the setting and work done by the owners to ensure a good experience in this desert setting. By far the nicest RV park since leaving Reno. Problem with cablevision and within 15 minuites of being informed service man to diagnose and correct the problem. Pool and hot tub enjoyable and they offer homemade muffins in the morning. Wifi worked flawlessly without any drops. We camped at Boulder Creek RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
