This place is very convenient for us as we originally purchased our trailer in nearby Manteca That being said, we have watched this park go downhill over the past ten years they are no longer keeping the golf course up nor open. It has burned up with the drought Rumor has it they will be expanding the RV park as there is nothing better in the immediate area. We hope they do expand and improve . Our first site had a light pole at the start into the pad, bad idea and bad placement It was difficult to get our 40 foot around without hitting the post. The good news is, they have removed the gold painted rocks that used to be the challenge. Our second site was back in the more permanents section and worked out well. Folks were very friendly Most staying in the area to work in construction or as travel nurses Swimming pool is okay, wifi is two hotspots, one at office, one near pool and worked ok Our site had a broken sewer hookup - we notified two maintenance workers and the office of the issue and nothing was done about it. Here is to someone building a new, nicer park in the area and let this one go to the residentials. For the services and accommodations this park is definitely over priced. We camped at French Camp RV Park Resort & Golf Course in a Fifth Wheel.

We visited this park after a long day on the road. Saw a Cal Trans sign that said "RV Park". We stayed twice, once on the way to Reno and again on the way home. The park had pull through sites with 50 amp service. There is a swimming pool but we did not use it. We were in a hurry and needed a place to rest over night. It was hot so I wanted to run the AC but not the generator. We were on an hurried trip so did not use the facilities besides the rest room. Lots of grass there. Easy access. Satellite dish worked fine. We camped at French Camp RV Park Resort & Golf Course in a Motorhome.

We spent one night here. The value was just OK due to the lack of wifi in the park. They do have two hot spots but we prefer to stay in the fifth to do our web surfing. The cable TV was just OK; not stellar. The receptionist was very pleasant. We camped at French Camp RV Park Resort & Golf Course in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We stayed at French Camp for 9 months while working in the area. Facility is a bit dated but certainly has sufficient bathrooms and shower area. Pool and spa are available with large dogs runs for each small and larger dogs. The area is convenient enough with good access to 99 and I5. There isn't much to do close to the park and Manteca is the closest city with doesn't really have much either. As we got near the end of our stay at French Camp (which is one of the primary motivators behind why we left) electricity issues with the park began to become troublesome. We would lose electricity in the middle of the day and night which the park staff said was related to transfer gear overheating. The outages continued day and night for weeks and while we are working nights and its 100+ degrees its tough to lose cooling for two hours and wake up between shifts. The manager of the park was very available for any issue after hours and gave me his personal number so as to bypass the answering service. The park is card key access and has a full time security after dark so safety isn't much of an issue even being so close to the freeway. The golf course and driving range are closed. Do not expect to place golf in any way here. We camped at French Camp RV Park Resort & Golf Course in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

El Jardin is the best Hispanic food we found for sit down. There is also a walk up place near the railroad tracks that had very good food. Gnarly Head winery is walking distance from the park but we never went there. Lodi is great wine country and is only about 45 mins away. Sacramento is an hour north and has great restaurants

Because it is close to family we stay here often. The golf course is closed but the cart paths make for an excellent walking path. Also a very good cafe on premises with some live entertainment. Wifi is seldom available. We camped at French Camp RV Park Resort & Golf Course in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The staff person on duty was just "there". We were given a site map with our site circled and and line drawn to direct us to the site. The pull through site was just wide enough for the fifth wheel with slides open, no surplus. No patio, just a strip of grass between sites. There is no gate code when returning to the park. Security must check your car pass and allow you to enter. There are many permanent campers here, most of the sites are pretty clean, not much clutter, posted rules cover that. Four typed pages of park rules and one full page of rules for the use of the pool. The hot tub was barely warm, not anywhere near hot. There is overflow parking along the playground area, full of all sorts of vehicles and boats, utility trailers, etc. There is a nine hole golf course, didn't have time to check it out, and the wind was 25-30 MPH all afternoon. If we are through the area in the future would find another place to stay. This one is way over priced. We camped at French Camp RV Park Resort & Golf Course in a Fifth Wheel.

Did use the laundry facilities and found them expensive, old and dirty. Not well maintained at all. In fact buildings old and have not seen any maintenance in sometime. Wifi was limited to office a quarter mile away and at the pool. We were parked fifty yards across from pool and could not get wifi. General impression of park very poor and not at all maintained. It was advertised online as highly rated by Woodalls. This is one reason why we made a reservation here. I cannot imagine that Woodalls would rate this park with that high a rating. We will not return. We camped at French Camp RV Park Resort & Golf Course in a Motorhome.

Nice accessible RV Park. Appears to have transient workers who live here but park is clean. Long drive from office into RV Park, but relatively quiet despite freeway being close by. There is a golf course next door along with an exercise facility, pool and cafe. We camped at French Camp RV Park Resort & Golf Course in a Motorhome.

Concrete site with grass in between. Quite a walk to the dog park. No wifi at your site only in a couple of hotspots, Garbage is picked up at your site each morning. Great experience. The nice guy who took care of us...what a great sense of humor and great service attitude! Lucky to have him! Bad person that I am I don't remember his name. I wish we had tried the cafe/sports bar. Maybe next time. This place has such a great attitude to their guests that it is on our come back list for sure. They do keep this park clean. Checkin is at the Pro Shop. Then you drive back to the CG. The paved parking on our site was about 32 feet long. We are 40. We maneuvered and finally got in the site with our tires right up to the concrete wheel stop. We were able to let the air out safely then to level. Our coach nose was right on the edge of the road. Parking for the toad was alongside the coach and adequate.

We were here to have Thanksgiving with family. Not sure we would stay here again. Lots of what looked like resident sites that did not go by the rules of having refrigerators and storage all around and under their rigs. If you are going to have 4 pages of rules, enforce them. No Wifi in you rig. They said they had hotspots in 2 buildings. It was quiet here for how many rigs are sandwiched in. We camped at French Camp RV Park Resort & Golf Course in a Motorhome.

Good place to stay going through. Concrete pads throughout. We have a 38'MH and did not have trouble negotiating the park, but they do have rocks to prevent you from driving on the grass. As some others have stated we had to pull to the front of the pad and unhook the toad and then back up to the hookups. If you wanted to stay hooked up you would not be able to reach sewer. Plenty of room to park toad. Did not use Cable- over the air had a fair amount of channels. They have morning garbage pickup, but did not mention at checkin. The Sports Bar and Grill has great nachos. Did not golf or pool. We camped at French Camp RV Park Resort & Golf Course in a Motorhome.

A prison? 4 pages of rules & regulations. Can`t do this & can`t do that. Nice golf course but not included with general amenities. Could not connect to WiFi. Controlled area where we did not feel comfortable. Over all the grounds seemed nice but crowded. They had a nice big dog run & separated the big from the little dogs. Stayed over night.
