Location, Location, Location. This park is located inside Monterey Pines Golf Course. The park itself needs some updating, but for the location and the price, it's worth every penny! There are three pull through spots and the rest are back in. We stayed in one of the pull throughs. They're lined up three in a row and it worked nice because we were in a group of three, but otherwise, I'd recommend the back in spots. Don't take the website or the 1-800 number's word on availability, both told us there wasn't room for us when there actually was more than enough room for a full 5 nights, so call the campground directly. WiFi didn't work, but the AT&T was good. We would definately return. We camped at Monterey Pines RV Campground (Military Camping Only) in a Fifth Wheel.

Finding this park was a bit confusing. The entry sign is for the golf course and has nothing on it to indicate that you must drive through the golf course to get to the RV Park. Sites are tight to back into for 40-ft motorhomes. My site only had 30 amp power, but it worked OK. Water and sewer were good. This park provided a good home location for seeing the area. I probably would stay here again, now that I know how to find the park. We camped at Monterey Pines RV Campground (Military Camping Only) in a Motorhome.

The person who assigned a 40 foot motorhome in a 35 foot space must have done so out of maliciousness or humor. There are several spots that could have been more appropriate and that remain available as night falls. The CG is a perfect spot for exploring the Monterey Peninsula though it is lacking in appropriateness of it's facilities. Some spaces are way to narrow to maneuver and are too narrow for a full size motor home or 5th Wheel though perfect for a small trailer or Class B or C. There are no convenient parking areas for your Toad and no space to park in front of or beside you RV. At $30 a night it is no bargain given facility shortcomings. Although they say Wi-Fi is available throughout the CG you may have to wander around a bit for a Hot Spot. I think I'd rather go elsewhere to a CG that really cares about their campers. Good value for the money. Some of the sites are unlevel. Wi-Fi worked well depending on time of day. Have stayed here before and will probably stay here in the future. Airport noise at night can be annoying. Laundromat was clean and machines worked well. Campground was clean and appeared to be well maintained. Military only. Well maintained, pleasant park with many Monterey Pines. Convenient to Monterey sights: e.g., aquarium, Cannery Row; Carmel-by-the-Sea; 17-mile drive; beginning famous California coastal Hwy 1 nearby. Rest rooms and showers clean, modern, heated. Wi-Fi spotty; Verizon cellular connection works well. Golfing on site. Small PX at nearby Naval Post Graduate School. Full PX and Commissary a few miles away at Fort Ord. Great place to stay given this is a high-end locale! Some sites are small and cramped but worth it. CALL in advance and register before 5:00 to get GATE CODE required to gain entry after hours.
