A good location (walking distance to the dunes and beach). Sites are level and utilities all work well, incl. wifi. Sites are gravel, utilities at rear (so may need extension(s), as I did). Good laundry facility. There are no "resort amenities", just a basic place to park. Some double-width sites (42'), as well as the standard 21' width. Everything clean and works. On the expensive side, but location counts. We camped at Morro Strand RV Park in a Motorhome.

There is nothing fancy about this RV Park - no extra amenities - no concrete pads nor patios but you are paying for the location which is excellent. We could walk about two blocks to the water. Sites were gravel and level. It was quiet. WIFI worked. The sites were fairly tight and you did not have a lot of room, but you were not touching your neighbor's awning. We had to move our truck several times so others could get into their sites with their RVs. Very expensive but if you want to visit Morro Bay, you don't have a lot of choice. The park was clean. We camped at Morro Strand RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Location, Location, Location! Little did we know this campground and our site (D) would be right next to the beach. What a treat! Price reflects dry-camping, although FHU sites ($50) were only yards away. Campground has no showers and the toilets left much to be desired. Cell service was good. Terrific beach access and sunset views. Staff was enthusiastic, informative, and welcoming. Definitely will come back. Reserve early! We camped at Morro Strand RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed in Park 1 which had some really wide sites to accommodate double slides and boat/trailer storage. Their sites are level, covered with crushed gravel and all had their utilities working as they should (though some of the sewer connections couldn't be secured properly?). All sites had 50 amp service available.
Their bathrooms and laundromat ($2 wash/.75 dry) were kept clean. Unfortunately they only offer 27 TV channels, but satellite reception was great. Found their internet way better than in most parks.
Located just two blocks from the beach and only a short driving distance to shopping in M/B and SLO. And as well so are Montana de Oro State Park, the Cayucos and Pismo Beach piers, and Hearst Castle just a short drive. Would suggest making a reservation as this park is often full. We camped at Morro Strand RV Park in a Motorhome.

After a very bad experience at a park in Pismo involving not getting a promised site, we took a Saturday day trip looking for an alternate park. This facility looked great. A deluxe site (70' x45') was coming open for the period we desired. We jumped on it. Stayed for a week. WiFi was initially very strong, but became rather sporadic over the weekend. Roof mounted satellite TV had plenty of clearance. Park was very quiet, mostly retired, as are we. Winds can get pretty strong in Morro. The park offered pretty good protection even when gusts were reported at 65 mph in the immediate area. The park was a little far for walking to Morro's tourist shops & restaurants, but a very easy drive to everything, including Hearst Castle. We camped at Morro Strand RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very clean and level sites. Facilities are also in excellent shape. Small gravel in entire park. Utilities were good, with the exception of the wifi, which was fine some times, and very allow at others. We stayed in one of the wider sites (premium) in park 1 (larger rigs), which gave us a lot more room. Nicely located relative to the dunes and access to shopping and the Embarcadero. Laundry has 3 new washes, 2 new dryers, all in excellent condition. Staff very helpful and accommodating. We will be back next year. We camped at Morro Strand RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Galley restaurant in town on the water is excellent for lunch and dinner.

3rd stay in this park, usually for a month or longer, during the "winter-off season". Very clean restrooms and laundry. Price varies by space width. 2 parks across the street from each other. Place for shorter trailers/RVs backs onto a public park/soccer field. Place for larger RVs next to schools. Nicely kept area, park hosts usually nice people, one curmudgeon.. Strongly suggest reservations, park fills up on weekends and special events in Morro Bay. Near nice bike trail, 10 minute walk to the edge of the Embarcadero/docks of Morro bay, 5 minutes to the ocean. 7 days a week local bus (May thru mid October)/ 5 days a week rest of year, stops across from park. Easy walking distance to a Taco Bell, liquor store, small gas station market. Right now water tastes musty in Morro Bay, low well levels and past high heat, so non-filtered water is a little objectionable. A little noisy at times, city heavy equipment yard nearby as is water treatment plant and school. Very quiet most nights unless there is a football game. :-) We camped at Morro Strand RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Easy walk to town, nice bike paths, lots of wine tasting in a 20 mile circle, bird watching at Moor Bay nature preserve, Montana De Oro State Park, beaches, beaches, beaches. Surfing and great white sharks, Morro Rock. Lola's Mexican restaurant, the Bayside Café, the Buoy (a locals bar), the Fuel Dock in the middle of Morro Bay has live bands on weekends with no cover and a little dance space, local farmer's markets, The Coffee Pot for breakfast at the docks.

Gravel entire park, small, big back-in lots, clean. Close to downtown Morro Bay, 30 miles from Hearst Castle. Nice place; would certainly stay here again. We camped at Morro Strand RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Go about 5 miles past Hearst Castle to view the elephant seals.

Essentially a gravel parking lot close to the beach. Showers and restrooms mostly clean but have little privacy. Pricy considering the facilities provided. We camped at Morro Strand RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of great seafood nearby

All gravel level sites, with a choice of standard or deluxe size. Deluxe is 42 feet wide! The standard site was fine for our motorhome even with three pop-outs. This is the cleanest park we have stayed in, with the most helpful staff. We lost power at 11:30 p.m., and the night staff restored power even though it was our electrical problem, not the parks. We would stay here again. We camped in a motorhome. We camped at Morro Strand RV Park in a Motorhome.

Average parking lot type park. Good power, water pressure. Minimal AT&T signal, but did not need this for data, as the park has some of the best Wi-Fi I have experienced. Blazing fast. Only has back-in sites in the part I was in. The park is split into 2 separate parks, 1 &2, each on a different side of Atascadero Rd. I was in park 1. Friendly management. We would return. Nice back-in site with a view of Morro Rock out our back window. Easy walk and you are at the beach. Nice long level site with lots of space to the next site. Easy utility hookups. Good line of sight for satellite dish. We camped at Morro Strand RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a bare bones park which is pretty close to the beach. Sites are gravel and level. Quiet at night and school and truck traffic during the day, but not a problem. There is a laundry room, but not much else. Within walking distance to the beach. I guess this is pretty typical of coastal parks in California. Would stay here again when passing thru. Stayed two weeks in the park II. Park is split into two parks across the street from each other. Park II is for rigs up to 28' in length, park I is for anything bigger with sites that are either 21' or 42" in width. Full hook ups with 60 cable channels and Wi-Fi throughout both parks. Cable clarity was good and Wi-Fi was excellent except when park II was full. Locked restroom/showers in both parks, laundry only in park II. One block to city park. One fourth mile to beach. Five minutes to Embarcadero and tourist area of Morro Bay. I've stayed in 7 of the about 10 RV park/campgrounds in MB and for money and what you get this is the best deal. The park is clean, quiet and well kept. Management, day and night are friendly and responsive. Free coffee and brownies in the office in the AM. My next reservation is already made. We camped at Morro Strand RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
