This is mainly a mobile home park, not an RV Park, only renting out spaces until they can get the spaces sold. Our spot was plenty large, close to the so called "beach", and close to the swimming pool. I did not realize when I booked in here that there were no grocery stores in Needles (a city of 4,000, really??), the closest apparently being Lake Havasu. The value is just not there for what you get, especially if you have to drive 50+ miles round trip just to get some fixings for your hamburgers. We camped at The Palms River Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Daily rate is average for a monthly stay of $359.00 which does not include electricity. Our second and last monthly stay in this park. Park has a lot of good amenities and friendly people but major dog barking problem with the biggest offenders being park staff. There is also a laundry facility between space 33 & 35 that people start using early am to late evening. We camped at The Palms River Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Jammed in! This park is really for full time residents. I don't know why it is even called an RV Park. As another reviewer stated, we listened to constant dogs barking at a park home right next to us till after 10:30 pm when the parks maintenance man returned home. Yes they are his dogs and the manager will not do anything, because she needs him as a worker! We camped at The Palms River Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

No wifi, 100+ degrees out, water main was broke when we arrived, and had been out for 3 days, mosquitos everywhere, only red rock and no grass, and the 5th wheel next to us, left their TV on all night loud, so we could hear it. We camped at The Palms River Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

A clean, convenient spot to stay the night far enough off 40 that noise isn't a problem. They have propane easily accessible. It appears that trees were planted since the last time we stayed here so someday it will be shaded. The park is gated. The key device is too low to get at in a motorhome. By the time I got out to put the code in and got back into the rig, the gate had closed again. A kind person in a small car put the code in for us again so we could get through. The strip of concrete with storage units in back and a high wall blocking any view in front is reminiscent of parking in a cell block, so except for overnight, I can't imagine staying here longer. We had the misfortune of coming through on a 112 degree day, which isn't their fault :-) Fortunately, there are restaurants nearby who deliver so we didn't have to turn any cooking devices on. Next time, I think we'll pass through Needles and wave hi. We camped at The Palms River Resort in a Motorhome.

I go along with all the terrible remarks. With all the mobile homes here the RVERS don't have a chance. My husband and I stayed 1 night. I informed the person on the phone that we were both handicapped she said it was a little way to the restrooms. We parked in #31 in a tt. To get to the restrooms, pool and clubhouse we had to walk to the. End of our road to the next road down a hill and a 1/2 block on the next road and hunt for the restrooms. I nearly fell on the hill. IF YOU ARE DISABLED DO NOT ATTEMPT TO STAY HERE. I WOULD HATE TO hear of someone getting hurt. THIS IS THE WORST SET UP I HAVE EVER SEEN. We camped at The Palms River Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Did a one-nighter here. Nice park. Roads paved. Space was gravel. No cable. Gated community consisting of campsites, long term sites, and homes. You can walk down to the Colorado River. I really don't understand the negative comments...we thought it was a very nice place. We camped at The Palms River Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Large RV Park on Colorado River which is mostly park model homes. Current spots are eventually becoming park models as well but more RV sites are to be built in future. Great park, with very nice amenities, pool, game room, activities etc. Stayed for a month and enjoyed park. There are a lot of ATV's around on weekends as park is across street from desert riding area. We camped at The Palms River Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

I agree with the other people who made poor reviews. Nice long drive-ways, but you put your RV on the gravel beside. Advertise Wi-Fi, we were close to Hot Spot, but didn't work. No cable. Pricy for no cable and Wi-Fi. We camped at The Palms River Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Good Sam rating is 9/9/9.5, which must be self rated. Given the nonexistent restrooms and showers a 9 rating makes me wonder. We were parked in a gravel lot with a view of a storage building. I could not recommend this park to anyone. We camped at The Palms River Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice clean park with a friendly staff and awesome store. Our only complaint is that the pool wasn't heated. Loved it and the river view was lovely. We camped at The Palms River Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Stayed at the resort during the Christmas holiday. After making an online reservation for a week and paying in full I was told I owed an additional $27 for electric, this was after I stayed one night. The explanation for the charge was “this is a new policy.” The resort web site is not correct, hot tub and pool are not heated and are usable. The resort has a distinctive smell of open sewer by the homes near the pool and showers. ATVs, dirt bikes and golf carts roam at all speeds throughout the resort during all hours making it unsafe to walk. RV sites are mixed in with single wide prefab homes. If you neighbor has an ATV you will be polluted with noise day and night. Paperwork and signatures for registration is mind boggling. I guess it is needed in case you get run over by an ATV. Restroom facilities were clean and the Christmas Party organized by fellow camper was memorable with friendly guests. Sites are level and spacious. We camped at The Palms River Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Great to stop in for a night. Site had plenty of room, was all red rock, no concrete patio or shade, but again we were just passing through and it was easy in and out. Clerk at front desk was friendly and helpful. We camped at The Palms River Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is geared to manufactured and park model homes. The empty spaces are available for RV's. There is only one restroom, centrally located within the beautiful pool area. I did not see any showers, but they may be there. No cable TV, most residents had satellite dishes. All sites had a picnic bench. HD TV was available on our RV antenna. All of the major networks had a good signal. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Boat ramp available. Reasonably priced for a resort style RV park. Office closes at 5PM, and gate requires a pass code. Best make reservation if arriving after 5pm for gate code, and WiFi passwords. Would stay here again, very nice. We camped at The Palms River Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Woodalls should be ashamed for rating this RV park high! This is NOT a 5 star resort. The ads for this RV park are VERY deceiving. The "RV" portion of the park is actually in a storage unit-- sites are in a cinder strip between a 10' security fence and storage facility. The pool, though it does exist is actually in a a full time mobile home park not the rv park. The lagoon featured in the ad, is only accessible through the full-time mobile homes-- NOT the description in the add or in Woodalls. We only stayed here because we were tired. I would not stay here again! The sites that do exist as stated above are cinder--no landscaping and the view (besides the neighbors sewer hook-up) were of the fence and the storage unit. There are no public restrooms or showers available to the rv park -- don't expect to use those. (these may be available in the full-time moblie home park) We had to request a picnic table and use blocks to level. All in all, NOT a place we will go back to. We camped at The Palms River Resort in a Travel Trailer.
