Very pretty campground that has done a lot of renovations, but there are only a few good pull thru spots for us, since we have a 41' foot 5th wheel, and are 58 feet overall. I actually had to put it in 4WD when exiting the park going up a gravel hill. This park would have been given a 9 if they had sewer connections and 50 amp service. Our site # 15 was huge and right up against the fence to the Train museum. The museum was a good thing to do while you are here. The restrooms and laundry room were first class, but we did not use them. Wi-fi was great, because the campground was only about a 1/3rd full? We camped at Inn Town Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Empire Mine in Grass Valley was very interesting. And of course you have to do the train museum right behind the RV park.

Stayed in 1, 2, and 3 with friends. Excellent facilities, staff, and owners. The loop is a great walk for dogs. Cell and wifi speeds were 10mb or better. Follow the directions on their web site, not a gps, to avoid narrow roads, low trees, and tight turns. Call and discuss the right site for your preferences. Many options, with very unique sites, including a couple overlooking the railroad museum. The common areas are well thought out and executed, as is the entire facility, by people who really camp/rv. Will definitely return. We camped at Inn Town Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed 5 nights in Site #9, which is the only pull through site in the camp. The campground does not offer cable TV and the numerous trees prevented the use of satellite but we were able to get a couple of channels with our batwing antenna. The office staff was very helpful, friendly and informative. The campground is unique as it offers RV sites, pitch-your-own tent sites and "glamping" tents. In addition, it provides a community kitchen, dining area and TV lounge in its main building. The kitchen was very well equipped with 2 stoves, gigantic refrigerator, dishes, eating utensils, pots and pans, knives and cutting boards. The campground does not allow wood campfires at the sites; however, there are community areas with propane fire pits. Everywhere was spotless. The campground is an easy drive into Nevada City, Auburn, Grass Valley and other points of interest. We would stay here again. We camped at Inn Town Campground in a Motorhome.

Many thanks for your review, we do suggest for guests who are in need of satellite that the full hook up options are RV 1 & RV 2 and the water and electric sites RV 15-18. We look forward to having you return.

We stayed here in a 40 foot motorhome. Finding the park was a bit difficult. It is off the beaten path a bit and it was hard to spot the signs directing us to the park. The park provided directions on the reservation, but street signs in the area are small. The road from the highway to the park is narrow and has some overhanging trees. The CB antenna did not hit any of them but I had venture over the line a couple of times to miss them. The park staff was very friendly and followed up to make sure everything was OK after we had been there for an hour or so. The site was level gravel and a bit tight for the slides, but it was very nice. Surrounded by tall trees and great walking trails. Park has a beautiful pool and other amenities such as communal fire pits dining areas. This is a nice park, but a bit overpriced for an overnight stay in my opinion. It would be a great place to meet friends/family for a few days to explore the area. I should add that the neighbors we had were great people. We camped at Inn Town Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a train museum next door. There is a Chinese cemetery close by. The area is full of history of the California Gold Rush. Scenery is gorgeous and the climate is mild. There are cabins on-site and nice meeting places. A good place to spend some time.

Hi there, and thanks for visiting the Inn Town Campground. I'm sorry you had difficulty finding the campground; Google, Apple Maps and some other navigation systems do send people on the narrower streets. We have a different route that we have detailed on our confirmations and website that sends campers on wider streets with much better tree trimming. We have contacted both Google and Apple to see if we can change the directions to reflect the better route that we have detailed on our website. In the meantime, if you head back our way, please check the directions on our website to avoid the over hanging trees. That route will be easier to navigate and more accommodating for your coach. Thanks for your feedback.

Overall Rating:

This park has lots of trees and looks nice. It's extremely hilly, which limits places to put sites so that everything is kind of willy-nilly. That's not a problem in and of itself, except we got one of three sites that were right next to each other, which was a disappointment (RV-01 through RV-03). Beware low hanging trees on road to entrance - you have to move to the left lane on a low traffic road for about a quarter of a mile. There's one washer and dryer with no table or baskets supplied, but it's all new so the coin operation works particularly well. There's no cable or off the air television. Their cancellation policy is much more expensive than the norm, but they do let you know about it when you pay for your site (full price in advance). Overall, though, we were happy with our stay, since it served well as a base for visiting the many historical sites in the area. We camped at Inn Town Campground in a Motorhome.

We loved our stay at this delightful park. It has all the modern amenities you expect at an RV park but it feels like you are camping in the forest. The historic downtown is only a mile away and is an easy hike. We loved the optional outdoor shower. We camped at Inn Town Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed in one of the back in spots at the entrance to the campground because I was late booking. This is our kind of campground. All the amenities an RV'er needs but you REALLY feel like you're camping. Gorgeous setting among the pine trees! There is a beautiful meadow at the bottom to walk around near the stream and see where the railroad used to bring people up here for entertainment many years ago. We loved Inn Town Campground and would definitely return if we get to make it back to the area. You could even walk into Nevada City if you're feeling ambitious (1 mile) Everywhere you look, it is obvious the owners have put a lot of love and care into this campground. They have a few propane fire pits set up in a common area for your enjoyment as well as BBQ's. We're empty nesters but we saw families enjoying movie nights which is great for the kids. We camped at Inn Town Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 4 nights in early May 2017. The campground was very very quiet and peaceful and the staff were extremely friendly. We stayed in pull thru RV Site 9, which had full sewer and 30 Amp hookups and was quite clean and level. We had easily enough room for our 29ft (total) trailer and Audi Q7. It is right next to RV Site 8, which was vacant while we were there, but during busier times of year may be too close for comfort if you like your personal space. That said, sites 8 and 9 would make a great set to share if you are traveling with friends and have a couple of RVs/Trailers between you. Being a fairly new campground, all of the facilities seemed to be in near new condition - there was also clearly ongoing work happening, so I can only imagine the campground getting better. I would definitely come back. We camped at Inn Town Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Follow the trail out of the campground into Nevada City and check out Curly Wolf for some awesome coffee. Grass Valley is a short drive away and also worth checking out. Condon Park has a great space to take your dogs.

There are about twice as many tent sights as RV sights. They have 12 very nice tent cabins also. The Rv sights are on the small side. Fair amount of room between sights for the most part. Park has only been open for a year so things are still being improved on. The pool is slated to open on May 31st of this year. Easy to get to Nevada City or Grass Valley. The employs are very nice and helpful. Several community areas with fire pits where a group could meet. Their web sight lists the sizes of the RV sights, pay attention. Most sights are designed for smaller RVs. Made reservations to go back in July for a family get together in Nevada city. We camped at Inn Town Campground in a Motorhome.

Thanks for your review and coming to visit us! Our pool will indeed be open by the end of May, it's filled with water now and we are balancing the pH levels. So, that will be a refreshing and relaxing addition for the warm July days of your next visit. Feel free to call if you want any specific recommendations on what size / type of RV works best for any given site. We're getting a better handle on what works in specific sites; we do have some sites that are better suited for big rigs and some for smaller travel trailers or camper vans. Thanks again!

RV park opened summer of 2016, everything is new. Excellent website with lots of information. 18 RV sites, 20 tent sites, and 15 deluxe canvas tents with beds and elec. Great looking clubhouse with games, books, TV, BBQ, laundry, showers, and small store. Gravel sites, back-in and pull-thru, picnic table, Wi-Fi worked good. Dogs friendly for $5 per night. Lots of trees and quiet at night. We camped at Inn Town Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
