WiFi was poor. They have too many rules for us. No rugs, No stakes to tie your dog to so he can be outside with you, no dog pens, no dog runs. Heck, they should just say no dogs. We have a cage like fence we like to use so our dogs can be outside with us without a leash. Not allowed. It doesn't have a floor so I don't know what the big deal was. The person in the office told us to park our car in front of our RV, which required us to have the RV back more than it really should have been. This caused the picnic table to be located in an area almost in front of our RV so it could not be used. It would have been a lot better if we could have moved our RV up and parked behind. But she was very firm on what she wanted us to do. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back here again. We camped at Pismo Sands RV Park in a Motorhome.

Most of the sites are pull-through. All pull-through sites are "buddy" sites. As a result, your slide outs are about 2-3' from one another on the utility connection side. The sites are fairly short. Our 40' MH and Jeep barely fit on our site. Sites are blacktop. No patios, but they do have grass between sites. The grass area is shared between sites. We luckily had an end site so our grass area wasn't shared with our neighbor. Can not put any rugs, etc. down on their grass. Gated campground requires a code to open traffic arm. The narrow streets and sites can require some maneuvering to get your RV properly onto the site. The park is kept clean and neat. We camped at Pismo Sands RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Park is located within a short drive to the beaches, shopping, and several small towns. Nothing is within walking distance except possibly Oceano which is not very nice and not much there.

We stayed here for 1 week over New Years. We have stayed here several times and this time we had the best site in the park. Plenty of room for our 40 ft. coach and toad. Super wide grassy site with fire pit. We went with friends which had the site across from us. About 30 feet in between us but other side is close to other campers but the way the park is laid out it does not seem close. The pool and spa are spotless and grounds well maintained. We prefer this park over any others in the area. We camped at Pismo Sands RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Very close to Oceano Dunes SRVC and ramp to drive on beach.

We made reservations to stay one night, but had to cancel three days before our arrival. Pismo Sands has a 10 day cancellation policy, so we were charged for the one night. I gave them a rating of 6 because of the four private campgrounds in which we had made reservations and cancelled on short notice, they were the only one that charged us the cost of one night. We camped at Pismo Sands RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a great park. Everything about this park is clean. You will never meet a more friendly staff, who will go out of their way to assist you. We have stayed there in the past and will in the future. Have stayed at other parks in the area and always come back to this one. The park is very dog friendly, with two dog areas and plenty of pooh bags located throughout. The showers are well maintained and clean. The pool and spa were clean. Plenty of grass areas for my dogs to enjoy. We camped at Pismo Sands RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a convenient grocery store just down the street.

We have stayed at this park many times and always were very satisfied with the park overall. Nice facilities, including outdoor pool, childrens play area, billiards, and large meeting hall. Unfortunately there does not seem to be organized events if you are staying long term. They are pricey but that could be said of the area in general. We camped at Pismo Sands RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Oceano is surrounded by many other small cities, each with there own flavor. Of course it is all about Pismo Beach, just awesome.

Overall nice park, they just do not get some of the extra's campers are looking for. Our site was level with small grass picnic table and fire pit, all good. We have two dog's and the pet areas were very poor and too small. The internet was to slow and did not work the last day at all. INTERNET IS IMPORTANT!!! An internet password 5th#3N*QP%6 and then it does not work 3 or 4 times in a row. We camped at Pismo Sands RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park is pretty tight unless you get lucky and get a corner spot or one of the few larger spots. Each rig goes opposite way so you share a common area and in our case we could not extend our awning all the way. Weekdays had some open spots but fills on weekend and the pool gets crowded. We camped at Pismo Sands RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park boasts that it has been recognized as the, ". . . best medium sized park in California . . ." numerous times. It might well have been 30 years ago when I first visited. Since this is coastal Cal, the sites are very close together. It is predominantly the dreaded side-by-side hookup. This is where the bigger rigs are going fit. When reserving our site, I clearly explained exactly what I wanted, letting it be known that we would postpone our visit if what I wanted wasn't available. Upon arrival, the site they had identified for us was neither long enough nor wide enough. (This also happened to a couple that arrived in the site next to us.) They did find us another site. Multiple times my wife & I expressed our appreciation, but we should never have been assigned that first site to start with. While there, I read a review criticizing the lack of enforcement of noise violations. I also read management's response. Basically it was that the violation occurred after office hours & that if you complain we'll do something about it. Neither of those attitudes sit well with me. On the plus side, the park is attractive. The office & grounds people are just great. I found it very reasonably priced given its location. Only on 2 of our 10 evenings was it 'lively' enough that I couldn't sit outside & read wearing noise canceling headphones. For what I'm looking for - safe and quiet - it is the best choice in the immediate Pismo area. We camped at Pismo Sands RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very tight spaces, you face the camper parked next to you. Weird...sewer connections aren't near anybody's connections.

Was told not to park our golf cart on the lawn so we parked it right up against our trailer but the sprinklers flooded our cart and left the lawn dry.

Poor maintenance.

Never stay here again. Way too crowded and expensive for a Sunday night. We camped at Pismo Sands RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

It's a lovely place to park your rig for a few days to explore the coast. Unfortunately, we didn't have our tow'd with us so we were pretty much confined to the park itself. That was OK, we were just trying to get out of the Las Vegas heat for a few days, so it worked out just fine for us.

The grounds are well kept, the pool and hot tub were lovely. The employees were nice and helpful. The size of my rig meant that I had to literally drive all the way around the park in order to access our site - any other turns would have been impossible with 42'. It wasn't a problem, just making you aware.

The site itself was nice, though nothing special. Every site except ours had a fire pit... which would have been nice on those 50° evenings. It's a bit of a walk to the beach - about a mile or so - and you have to go through about 3 blocks of industrial streets to get to the path, but they seemed safe enough during the day.

One word of caution: The sewer connection is all the way at the end of the hookup island in between spots. It took all 20' of my stretched out sewer hose to make it; those of you with 10' or 15' hoses will need an extension.

It was nice, but a little expensive. Would we go back? Yes, probably, but with a tow'd to drive around in. Pismo Beach is a strange little town (what we saw of it) but it's worth exploring for some of the really good restaurants and beaches. We camped at Pismo Sands RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Right down the street is an EXCELLENT mom & pop grocery store. It was the cleanest, most well-organized store I think I've ever been in and the butcher counter had some extraordinary meats. I think it's called Central Market - it doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's a great place to stock up food and supplies.

The buddy setup for utilities means big grassy space between you and neighbor on one side. Very nice common areas with sparkling pool and hot tub and loads of attractive landscaping. Wifi was very good, water pressure very good, sewer was a bit of a stretch requiring 2 sections of hose to reach at rear of motorhome. Great dog walking throughout. Friendly, capable office staff. We camped at Pismo Sands RV Park in a Motorhome.

Parked was packed; I guess we were lucky to get one night there. Sites share a pedestal, one rig N-S, the other S-N. Adequate space between neighbors. Friendly staff, seemed like there were lots of rules and extra charges. It bills itself as "voted best medium size RV park in California" -- I think it was just OK. The beach is about 1 1/2 miles away, and that is an Off Road Vehicle beach. Oceano does not offer much in the way of beach community stuff, but Pismo Beach is nearby and Arroyo Grande is very close. There are lots of RV parks nearby, this is one of the nicer ones. There are hundreds of RVs stored nearby, too. We camped at Pismo Sands RV Park in a Motorhome.

It was an average experience for the amount paid. RV sites are very close together. Pull-through sites are set up such that each RV pulls in from the opposite direction. As a result, both RVs doors face each other, which is a little awkward. It was a little uncomfortable to have to share the same grass strip with the family next to us. Pool, restrooms, and laundry facility were spotless. Close and short drive to beaches and activities. Even though the park was clean, I would consider staying here again only after exhausting other locations. We camped at Pismo Sands RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Staff was super friendly. The park is well kept and clean. It felt very safe to have our 6 year old riding around on her scooter. A lot of pet areas for our 4 legged daughter. Cant wait to stay here again. We camped at Pismo Sands RV Park in a Motorhome.
