Back-in spots so short, tow vehicle is parallel parked with half the car parked on the street, making it difficult for others to back in to their spots. Very strict and unrealistic cancellation policy. Next to train track with lots of activity. We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

This park was very hard to locate off the main road, very small sign, we had to drive down and around the block to backtrack. I made our reservations online and the computer defaults to the first space available at the time, which was #1for us. Too small, the staff was friendly, put us in a pull through for the night. We had to live the next day because the spot we moved to was booked out during our full stay, not very convenient. The park is tight, paved and very crowded. It did have a family friendly feel with lots of kids riding beach cruisers. Alot of stray, feral cats roaming around. I love cats as they keep the rodents, snakes and bugs in check. All in all, I would stay again, but will call the park directly for reservations. We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The beach is not a quick walk like they say, you walk down the main road to the intersection then walk down several blocks. It's best to drive, especially if you want to go to the pier or the harbor.

We were lucky to find any place over the Thanksgiving holiday! I had waited until the last min. (not thinking) and had called "everyone" and this place had a cancellation (yea!) so we got in, so I was grateful for anything! That said...the spaces were tight, but were cement & level and came with a round table & bench set. The price was high...but all that I expected. The whole SD area has gotten this way, all up and down the whole county! The cable reception was excellent and the so was the WiFi. The Sprinter noise didn't really bother us, because it goes by quickly, even tho it's pretty often. There are plenty of places to walk to eat, and you can't beat the weather! The staff was wonderful. We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were there with a group, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The park itself is very clean and well maintained. A nice pet area. Spaces are a little tight, but large RVs had no trouble getting in. Absolutely no fires allowed (propane or wood) but they have BBQ grills in the pool area. We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Rv park is across the street and a block from the entrance to the beach. The town of Oceanside is a quaint little town with several good restaurants and breweries. We ate at the Breakwater Brewery for pizza and beer samplers. It was excellent. Downtown Oceanside has a nice farmers market on Tuesdays.

We were just passing thru and stayed for 2 nights. Best rate we found for a site with hook-ups. The site was concrete with a picnic table and patio. We have a 37 ft motorthome and we fit, but it is tight. Full hook-up, but the cable is being worked on so we ended up using the dish. For a short stay it works for us because we are traveling thru so we don't need a lot of space. Plan on be gone during the day anyway. Train did not bother us, not much noise and I don't think it runs at night. We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Motorhome.

$82 a night is ridiculous! Good Sam brought the price down to $75 -- but hardly worth the price! When you're desperate for a place to stay, I guess that's what has to be paid. The park is cramped, has small sites, no parking, no walking area for pets (there is a small fenced area covered with sawdust-type bark). Lots of long-term residents (although not sure why that is!). We were required to park on our site which in turn requires us to push through foliage get to the street. Long-termers are allowed to park on the street which is going to make it extremely difficult to get out when we leave. Also, the noisy train was a real pleasure (not!). We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very cramped spaces, slide outs almost touch each other. Poor landscaping, with just a few trees by the sites. Basically a cement parking lot surrounded by train tracks that are a constant noise problem with Amtrak, the Coaster and other local trains. Felt like I was in the movie. Borders the Coast Highway that feels as though you are at Sturgis, ND with all of the motorcycle noise. Close to the beach although you have to walk down to the beach surrounded by a chain link fence. The whole area is very lighted and feels like it is on the wrong side of the "tracks". Very friendly and helpful staff and nice small pool area. Would not return. Very expensive for what you get. I just wanted a site, not buy the place. We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Motorhome.

We loved this park. So close to the beach. There are trains, but you get used to them. The pet run was very nice and helpful. Friendly staff and a great hot tub and pool area. One of the best run parks we have been to. We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have been here since 12/29/2010. Our Site #22 is big enough to handle our 40ft and Jeep Liberty. Yes: many spots are small. Overall it's OK. I agree for the price, we should have a bit more. Staff is friendly, place is clean. Dog area: I have no clue since we don't have a dog. As far as access to the beach, you can walk to the corner and cross. Or you can DRIVE. It's close. Good shopping and restaurants are within a 5 mile radius. We will be here until late March or early April. We would come back. We are paying the monthly rate. We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Motorhome.

I'm happy with this park. As mentioned by others, the sites are small: I would not try to use this place with anything greater than a 38'. Getting the rig properly placed within the pad is tricky. We had to park on a diagonal to be able to open the slide. The landscaping and grounds are nice. Wi-Fi and cable TV worked very well. The main advantage is the location. Just a few blocks off I-5, and a good central location if you want to go as far south as San Diego and north to Laguna Beach. We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here a week. Owner was friendly and helpful but this park is too expensive for what you get. Dog run was dirty, as the long-term residents were not cleaning up after their dogs. No other place in the park to walk dogs. Site were extremely narrow and too short. Few spaces for overnighters, the streets are narrow. We will not stay here again. We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

To access the ocean from this park you must cross a very busy street, so I would not recommend to anyone with small children. Most of the spaces are occupied by either full time RVers or Snow Birds. The spaces are very close together. We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

You can pay more but you won't get more value or amenities anywhere around here. I have been living here for 3 months now. I like the proximity to the beach, the large paved spaces with shrubbery and fences for privacy, the peace and quiet, the level of maintenance of all facilities, the friendly helpful staff. Simply the best privately run park I have ever stayed in. We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Motorhome.
