This is just a large parking lot with hook ups, but this is San Franciso where every thing is close together. That is the bad now for the good. The check in was easy and people very friendly. They were helpful in showing the many ways to get into the city. The views were great even though the sites looking out at the bay are blocked off due to the cliff falling away. Shopping was within walking distance. Hook ups were close and worked well. Sites are close together but with enough room for slide outs. Nice pool and hot tub. A little expensive for what you get but over all a nice place to tour the city. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.

At first sight, this looks like little more than a parking lot, with units packed tightly together. But this is San Francisco. Homes are packed just as tightly. This is not camping here, rather it is a place to comfortably stay in your RV, and either relax or enjoy the area. We were assigned a spot in the very front row, overlooking the ocean. There has been bluff erosion in the past, and fences are in place to prevent the stupid from falling over the edge. But the view is tremendous, with Drakes Bay visible go the North and Devil's Slide to the South. With the Farralones in the distance, one can watch the endless procession of ships as they enter and depart The Golden Gate. The park is clean, with adequate trash receptacles, doggie bag stations, laundry, nice restrooms, and a friendly staff. They have a nicely stocked camp store with many of those RV repair parts that only fail on the road. There is an incredible bakery nearby, fuel, hardware store, supermarket, butcher, and post office. Water, power, and waste utilities all worked as they should. Wi-fi isn't free, unless you are doing laundry. They have cable tv with HBO, and broadcast HDTV reception is good here. AT&T cell service was about 4 bars. Picnic tables are at some corner sites, and scattered throughout the park. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pricy for what you get, but being close to San Francisco and to the ocean cost a lot. Our site was Ok but we were crowded by big rigs on both sides.

Going to San Francisco in our toad took a long time, as traffic was horrible every time we went. The weather was sunny but the wind was howling.

Interestedly we stayed at that campground in 2007 and we were able to park right on the cliff's edge with a fantastic unobstructed view of the Pacific ocean. This year, all these spots are gone, the ocean has eroded the cliffs so much that most of them are gone...sad.

We will not go back to this campground. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed January 2017 to April 2017 for my work. It is right on the Pacific ocean. Beautiful views. Close walking distance to good food, post office, pharmacy and grocery store. Easy public transportation access into San Francisco. Park was clean and well maintained. Spots are narrow and long, not much room to sit outside your unit. Park is all asphalt. Constant water and sand all over everything since right on the water. Downside to staying for 3 months was the rust on things. Our bikes are currently at the shop getting a big over-haul due to the rust issues (yes they where covered). We would stay again, just not three months. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

In San Francisco it is all about location. Yes this park is expensive and the sites are close together. But, everything in San Francisco is expensive and close together! This is the best park to visit San Francisco. You are about a 15 minute drive to the city, just a few minutes to a BART station, walking distance to an awesome bakery, great meat market, grocery store, hardware store, drug store, local shops and restaurants. Walk along the ocean or down to the pier. Sites are level, park is clean and free cable. Get a pull thru with a grassy island beside it and you get more room ( we had site #148). Go to sleep listening to the ocean waves! We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We have many friends in the Bay area and finding a place to stay can be difficult. We have stayed at 2 different RV parks in Marin County, but this is the best we have found. Just a short 15 minutes to the City and very close to Safeway, fuel, and a few restaurants. Sitting above the ocean we had a beautiful view of the Pacific, though the cliffs of Pacifica are gradually being lost to the constant pounding of the surf. A whole row of sites on the edge of the cliff have been lost.

Park is a fully paved one and the sites are not spacious by any means, but it worked for us with full hookups. This is an expensive park as you would suspect given the area, but with our RPI membership we were able to secure two nights for $38 plus tax.

We will be back next year and plan to stay longer. Very satisfied with the park and location. Even the weather cooperated with beautiful afternoon sun. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a asphalt lot and very close together but, we were there to visit San Francisco and a friend. I am finding out in California every campground is very limited on space. Coming from the East coast where there is space between sites. Everything has to stay between the painted lines of your site. We had to disconnect the tow dolly and side it up under the Motorhome so the car could fit in our lines of our site.

Great views of the ocean. Everything worked well. The staff was very friendly and the laundry area was great.

They do have long term residents there but they put them all on left side of the park and really don't know they are here. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We just finished staying here for a week and a half in a 40 ft RV and tow SUV. The staff here is awesome, they go out of their way to help and are happy to do so. This is the best RV Park close to downtown San Fran, with easy transportation to the city.

I would have given it a 10 except the Park is shrinking each year. The ocean has claimed many sites and each time we come here more an more are gone. Some of the sites are not long enough for a 40 ft RV and a tow SUV, so you have to park the SUV elsewhere in the park.

If you are thinking of staying here, do it, before the sea claims the entire park. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.

All asphalt, $4 per day for Internet, pull-through, everything must be between the lines. After the slides were out, there was about 6 inches of clearance on the slide side and 1 inch on the step side. Low water pressure. The views and location to San Francisco are the sole reasons for staying here. From the cliffs, we could see whales breaching about 100 yards off shore. There are a few grass areas in the park and I do not recall any trees being there.

Simple to get in and out of San Francisco, expect traffic. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed in a 45 ft. motorhome. Clean restrooms and showers. Extremely tight. Slides cleared our neighbor by about 1 ft. Very expensive but convenient to San Fran. An excellent location in which to explore San Francisco. The park is on a cliff overlooking the ocean. There is a path to walk along the top with an area to get down to the beach about 1/2 a mile away. There were whales within sight daily. The spaces are close together - we kept the side shades down all the time and the park is/was full. They went out of their way to find us a spot and for that I rate their customer service very high. This was the most we paid for an RV park this summer, but the location made up for it. We were able to drive into San Francisco twice and over to Sausalito for lunch another day without hitting heavy traffic. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Without question, if you are visiting San Francisco, this is the best RV park to consider. We stayed here for 3 months and in my opinion, the pros outnumber the cons significantly.

First the cons: All the sites are narrow and only a handful of them border grass medians which give a bit more space. Our 5th wheel with opposing slides, literally reached the lines on both sides of our space. For much of our stay, the window in our dining room slide was six inches from the trailer next door. We saw two cases of an RV hitting another RV trying to get in/out. Another con is the salt fog, which often rolls in here and corrodes anything it touches. All exposed iron or steel will rust in days. We used a rust protective spray constantly while here. Staying a few days, this wouldn't be a problem. The last con is the cost. It is horrendously expensive, but pretty much anything in the Bay Area is as well. Our rate was the monthly rate with a Thousand Trails discount (10%).

Now for the pros! The ocean is 200 feet away! While there isn't a beach right here, there is a great dog-friendly beach a 1/2 mile pleasant walk away and the ocean views are steps away from the sites. The little village which is a 5-minute walk away has everything--a great coffee shop, Safeway, a butcher shop, a deli, a barber, several restaurants, Walgreens, a pet store, and much more. The park is 25-minutes from any part of San Francisco (no, it's not 10 minutes as a prior reviewer said). There is much to do in Pacifica like hiking, live music, restaurants, many nice beaches, golf, surfing, biking and lots of parks. The park itself is very well-managed with good security and friendly, helpful staff. While the pull-through spaces are narrow, they are quite long and the roads are pretty wide and easy to navigate.

Overall, while this was one of the most expensive parks we have visited and it doesn't offer many amenities, the location and surrounding area more than make up for that. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

It should be kept in mind that when you are coming to San Francisco, there are not many options for staying here in an RV that are safe. This is one of those options. We had a family reunion going on in the bay area, and we needed a place to stay with our RV and our two dogs, which though very well behaved, are considered an aggressive breed and in many places are banned. Our two American Staffordshire Terriers were welcome here because they are well behaved. This place is perfect. Though spots are tight, we were able to get our Allegro Bus in and slide out our slides. The views out into the ocean were amazing. There is plenty of areas to walk around and explore and you are just a short drive from the San Francisco area. We visited here from the Sacramento area and would definitely return here again! We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.
