Overall Rating:

This RV park has beautiful grounds. The clubhouse and pool area a great for a campground. We were here with a group and the facilities for our group were very nice. We have a 42' class A motorhome. Our site was listed as a premium site, yet it was a back in and barely fit our rig. It was impossible to fit the car in front of it and not have a bit of the Jeep in the street. The wifi was unusable it was so slow. So we used our Verizon personal hot spot, but the reception was only OK. Very large and very nice dog area. Our pooch loved it. Lots!!! of flies though. When you sat down the flies were all over you. Trash picked up in front of your site.

There was a large wall/storage facility between us and the freeway and trains. The wall does lower the sound level, but there are lots of trains that go by. Lots of them. And a constant din and some blast from Interstate 10 which is right on the other side of the train tracks. After five days the noise was getting to me. Thankfully our coach is heavily built with double pane windows so that reduced it quite a bit. But we like to sleep with the windows open. Bring your ear plugs. We camped at Emerald Desert RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here 6 nights with a rally group, then an additional three nights because our truck broke down and took a week to fix. The park is beautiful and well maintained. We also experienced loud live music at the main pool one evening (we moved to the much smaller 'adult' pool - not big enough to do laps, but enough to get cooled off). The exercise room is very nice with a couple of elliptical machines, some treadmills and weights. The park also has a couple of golf 'holes' that you can use to practice chipping and putting. We found the wifi to be very fast, however the park was only 20%-50% full, so the results might be different if the park were full. The sites do not include picnic tables.
The only major drawback we found was the train tracks that run next to the park. Trains come by once or twice per hour. This will bother some people and not be an issue for others. We were in site 600 - mid way between the train tracks and Frank Sinatra Blvd. The sites numbered 2xx are closer to the train track and sites 6xx are further from the trains, but closer to the blvd. Sites lower than 200 are in a much denser area and I don't what the noise is like over there. We camped at Emerald Desert RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overpriced, noisy (from trains and street), short back-in space for our 38ft motorhome with 3 slides. Our tow just barely fit. Requested a QUIET, pull-through spot. Got a short, noisy back-in spot instead, with little shade and close quarters to our neighbor. We were in site #9, right over the wall from entrance and the "Frank Sinatra Drive speedway". No table.

No daily newspaper. Could not get one of the 3 main channels on cable during our stay.

Daily trash pickup at site was nice. Staff guided us to our site and helped with back-in. Small pool we didn't use.

This place appears to focus more on their abundant and lovely grounds maintenance than on their RV customer.

We stayed for 3-4 nights. Would not return. Very expensive park at $70 a day. We camped at Emerald Desert RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Cold Stone Creamery close by along with small mini market. Costco with gas station, Walmart, with groceries, and a large variety of stores and restaurants within 5 mile or less driving distance. Near community college. Casinos in area too.

We do not understand the high ratings given this park. In its favor are its location and it is well maintained with one exception (see below). Nevertheless, it is a typical RV park parking lot, a nicely landscaped parking lot, but a parking lot. We think the problem may be a disconnect between the young staff and the older retirees who are the majority of the visitors. For example, there is a lovely pool area, but the staff blares loud music at those trying to sleep, sun, read or even have a conversation without shouting. They will turn it down if asked....eventually. One visitor says she uses the tiny pool near the laundry room because she and her friends cannot stand the loud music in the main pool area, but the staff acted insulted when I asked them to turn it down, if not off.
The laundry facility is a disaster. On a Friday morning of the beginning of a holiday weekend, the machines were failing like
dominos. Rather than being touring Modernism Week opening or enjoying the out of doors, it took me over 3 hours to do 2 loads of laundry. Another guest was so irate she shouted that she would never return to this RV Park because it was the worst laundry facility she had experienced in over 20 years of RV travel. For a park as expensive as this one, they could do better.
And it is noisy....traffic noise, train noise....not a relaxing environment.
No newspapers available...empty machines, not a single vending machine with cold soft drinks...they could do a lot better. We camped at Emerald Desert RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We love Emerald Desert RV Park and come at least once a year for 2-3 weeks. The landscape and amenities are great. Lots to do in the Palm Springs area and lots of fantastic restaurants. The park has three dog parks, pickle ball courts, putting green, and a heated swimming pool. There is a laundry room. Although there is no propane sold at the park, a propane truck is in the park almost daily. We camped at Emerald Desert RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Take the cable car up the mountain in Palm Springs. Be sure to bring a jacket. Lots of golf courses, hiking trails, shopping, and casinos. Make a visit to the Living Desert Zoo/Museum. Don't miss the swap meet at the College of the Desert.

We are here for the month of December on a special. Park is very clean, lovely landscaping. Many trees so we can't use our satellite. Wi-fi works well. Park does not have alot of activities but has 2 pools, fitness room, boccee ball, billiards. Staff is very nice and helpful. Dog park which we don't need but nice. Concrete pads, grass in between. We camped at Emerald Desert RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Walmart and Ralphs about 3 miles. Lots of restaurants and shopping close by. As others noted there is train noise but didn't bother us.

The ONLY down side is the train noise. Stay as close to Frank Sintra Drive as possible. I will say we didn't notice it so much during the day...and once asleep, it never woke us up. Beautiful, beautiful park. I only gave 4 stars on value due to train noise. So nice! We camped at Emerald Desert RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Take the Tram at San Jacinto State Park and eat at the Peaks Restaurant. Great adventure for the day.

This is a top notch place with every amenity one could want. The common areas and pools are very well done. The sites are all level concrete pads with many having good amounts of shade from the mature trees. A bit on the pricey side but definitely a place that we'll return to. We camped at Emerald Desert RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Park was easy to get to. There is a train, but didn't bother me. We didn't swim, but the pool looked nice. We did use tennis court. There was only one, which wasn't a problem, but could have been had there been more people in the park. Also, there were leaves on the court that needed blowing off. We got one of the pull-through spots. Hookups were a bit oddly placed, kind of toward the middle of the spot on both sides, so we had to pull up all the way to the end. Our nose wasn't quite sticking out in the street, but a longer rig's might have been. Most spots seemed to have plenty of room, though. Overall very nice and clean, and front desk people were helpful. It's about 25 minutes from here to Palm Springs. We camped at Emerald Desert RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice park. My only issue is that the RV's are too close together, either on the sides or back to back! Many spaces in this park are right on top of each other. Check the park map and be careful which section you reserve in, if this is important to you. We camped at Emerald Desert RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nicest park I've ever been to! Clean, beautiful landscaping. Several dog runs. Expensive. We camped at Emerald Desert RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We went on a hike at the Cochella preserve, and a 20 mile bike tour to Mecca. Both enjoyable. We used the Grand Paw doggy day care when we couldn't bring our dog. They were wonderful.

I have been staying here for many years during the Indian Wells tennis tournament. It is an easy four mile bike ride away. ED has a five star physical space relative to the area RV parks. It was bought by Sunland Resorts about two years ago. Through several changes in their management style, it still has a five star space, but with a three star, at best, experience. First, wifi now is given as a one hour free service with a fee if you want more. Unfortunately, the hour begins when you sign in and ends an hour later. Even if you were only on line for ten minutes. Unacceptable in this day and age and daily rate, and user unfriendly at that. Second, the grounds as of last year, was adults only. This enabled a quiet relaxing experience at the pool and grounds and made the resort unique. This year the experience was like being at a camp with hordes of noisy children everywhere. I inquired at the registration and they said that there is an adults only "quiet time" at the pool between I think between 12 - 2. Really! I do not have a pet, but neighbors who had a dog mentioned that now there is a pet fee which they were negatively surprised by. After my experience this year, I will not be back. If you stay here try to get a site close to Frank Sinatra drive. On the other side of the park are train tracks and the interstate. Trains run all day and most of the night and it is very noisy. We camped at Emerald Desert RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is one of the best RV parks we have ever stayed at. Until this one, the Blue Water Key RV Resort in Key West was the best but this one was better. The staff was great. When I was setting up our 5'er I noticed some ant beds. I called the office and within two minutes someone from the grounds crew arrived to spray the ant beds, the expansion cracks in the concrete, and any part of our coach that was touching the ground. As a result, we had no problems with ants during our 13-night stay stay. The grounds are beautifully maintained. Spaces are close but reasonable. There is a nearby train (seems like a lot of RV parks are located near train tracks) but I never found it to be a problem at our site. We were in site 400 and were able to utilize it as a pull through because our travel companions had not yet arrived in their RV. The only problem we had with our site is that we had exposure to the sun all day and our awning provided very little relief. That's not the fault of the park but mention it so you can try to pick a site that avoids this problem. Our friends who parked at the other end of the site pad in 401 faced the other direction and had shade all day. So, pay attention to the park map orientation and try to get a site facing away from the sun. Many sites are well shaded. Others are not. There is a nice dog park but management is very lenient and seems to allow you to walk your dog in any of the numerous grassy areas so long as you clean up. We never observed any left behind poop while walking our dogs. Palm Desert is a very clean town and extremely easy to navigate. They do have free WiFi but it is limited to 75 Mb. The paid WiFi was very good on all devices. There are numerous good restaurants and a lot of things to do in the area. We stayed for two weeks and plan to come back next year and stay for two months. We camped at Emerald Desert RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a street fair in downtown Palm Springs every Thursday evening at 6:00 PM. Get there by 4:00 to find parking. Have drinks and dinner at the Matchbox while waiting. All American made goods. Parking is right behind the restaurant. The RV park itself hosts a farmers market every Wednesday. Also check-out the Living Desert Zoo. There is also another trader's fair every week at the local College of Desert. Too many good restaurants to mention and a lot of good shopping for the ladies.

Way nice park. Very clean and well run. You can feel the pride here. Nice sized pads are level cement, but some are a bit tight getting into. Pools and spas are very nice. We were here for a rally with 175 rigs and the staff did a great job. Wi-Fi was strong all over the park. Some sites get heavy train &and traffic noise so they get a 9. We would stay here again. We camped at Emerald Desert RV Resort in a Motorhome.
