We truly enjoyed our stay at this park. Yes, the sights are tight. There are tall hedges on each side of your lot--really gives you real privacy in these cramped quarters. Your patio feels like a private living room. Many of the seasonals have darling outdoor setting arrangements. I was worried about getting our 31' coach into our site. I'd stopped at the office to register, and hubby proceeded to our site. With the help of several neighbors, he was backed in and set up by the time I got to our site--no problem. Many British Columbia Canadians winter here. Very friendly bunch--we were immediately invited to join their Monday and Friday hiking group and thoroughly enjoyed our treks with them. Convenient location to old town Palm Springs--walking distance. Took our bikes to the grocery store. Great location to explore Palm Springs. Bathrooms and showers are older, but well maintained. Laundry was small, but clean. Pool area was very nice. Lovely clubhouse. We camped at Happy Traveler RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

I agree with some of the other posts. This is not a friendly RV park. The full-timers won't even move their vehicles out of the way in order help you get your rig parked. The front office also keeps pretty short/weird hours (e,g, closed at 11 am on Sunday). Then, lastly, their wifi is really minimal. If you go to their pool, sit poolside, you may get a weak but usable signal. They have good cable TV service, but you have to ask for a converter box at the office.....they don't offer it up. Not bad, until you consider the strange office the office keeps. So, once you have everything figured out and get in to your space (too tight for large rigs), then the park is great. The best things about this space is privacy and location; you're fairly close to old town Palm Springs. So all in all its' a nice, old RV park. If they'd make a few minor changes this park could easily be a 9 or 10. I'll come back again. We camped at Happy Traveler RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We've been coming here for a while. Great location. Great private sites. Park facilities are good but aging. While we were here almost every party with a trailer had a brutal time backing into their site. It isn't impossible but can take a while. Make sure you have a spotter for backing into your site! The folks in this park can be either super friendly or cold and cliquey. If social contact is important to you this isn't your place. If you are looking for a great location, this can't be beat! This place used to be very noisy but now seems extremely quiet. We think this place is getting better overall. Come here for your reasons but don't let neighbour socializing be one of them. The short stay folks are awesome but the seasonals can be brutal. We camped at Happy Traveler RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Mostly long term winter visitors, with some short term. Street and sites are paved and level, but close, with tall hedges between for privacy. Backing in can be awkward. Friendly neighbors. For being so close in, street noise was minimal. We stayed here a week.

The WiFi is practically non-existent at this park, but you can use Time Warner WiFi if you have an account at home. We camped at Happy Traveler RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

If you want to stay right in Palm Springs, this is the one choice available. It's a block from the BUZ line which is a free trolley that runs through the town every 15 minutes 11 am to 1 am, Monday -Thursday and is air-conditioned and pet friendly. The park is adult only, except from April 15 thru October 15 when kids are welcome.

As others have pointed out, the sites are not deep and there are no drive throughs. It is astonishing how large 5th wheels and class A motor homes are shoe-horned into sites together with accompanying vehicles. We had no trouble pulling in with our 24 foot Class B Airstream Interstate.

The high hedges between sites afford unexpected privacy. WiFi Is adequate for email and browsing online, but not for streaming. Lots of washers but only two dryers, so plan ahead if you want to use the laundromat.

The manager is extremely helpful and friendly.

All in all, this is a smaller nice park that has a ten-star location. We camped at Happy Traveler RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There's a terrific new restaurant that offers Asian fusion called the Rooster-Pig that's on the BUZ line route. Yelp reviews are mostly 5 stars and we genuinely loved eating there. It's a real dollar value. If you want to pick up food or other items, many take the BUZ line free bus to Ralphs supermarket. There's a convenience store across a vacant lot behind the pool fence we found, "convenient."

Very friendly park generally but some Canadians who are very territorial and cliquish. As in a lot of cases when they return year after year they have their "friends" and they are not open to meeting new people. Other than that the park is a great location to downtown PS. In front of the park is a motel which is a release point for prisoners on a parole program. There were fights, shouting, screaming and lots of loud noises coming from the motel. We didn't mid it as it was kind of entertainment. Word of advice though. Don't get a site backing onto the motel! We camped at Happy Traveler RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a really hard park to rate because so many things are great about it, but it has one big problem. First the good: great location near Palm Springs downtown, very helpful and friendly management, nice facilities, a decent amount of activities, friendly people. The challenge is, as the last reviewer stated, the sites are short and narrow (made worse by the hedges between all sites) and we felt as though we were camped in a deep well. I was parked as close to the electric post as my slides would let me and I could almost reach out from my front door and touch the hedge on the other side. Backing in was VERY challenging for our 32' fiver. Since the sites are so small, there is nowhere to park except in the street along with everyone else. After two months of this we felt like we had really had enough. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of options close to Palm Springs, but if we come back to the area next year, we will likely swallow hard and pay the price to stay at another park. We camped at Happy Traveler RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

An older park not designed for large RV's, filled with large RV's and fifth wheels. Very very claustrophobic small spaces - road filled with cars. Convenience to downtown Palm Springs is the only reason to stay here. We camped at Happy Traveler RV Park in a Motorhome.

We love this spot. Lots of snowbirds, with well-kept spots, mostly retired. Pool was awesome and warm, hot tub was clean. The laundry was great. Internet was Tengo, not well done.... Small assigned spots, but there are hedges in between so fairly private. Friendly staff and residents, about a mile to downtown, great downtown amenities, we will definitely be back! We really enjoyed staying here. Check-in was simple, the staff was accommodating and willing to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, and other guests were friendly. The campground was convenient to the downtown area and within walking distance to everything. We would definitely stay at this campground again. We camped at Happy Traveler RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was our second stay. We visited the area two years ago. This park is a perfect location if you want to be near downtown. It is actually within walking distance. The managers are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are sparkling clean. There are many live-ins, but the park is very tidy. This is a pretty small park and each space is concrete slab with a picnic table and 6-8' high shrubs between every space to provide privacy. The pool is lovely. I would not recommend this park for children. Other than the pool there is nothing for them to do. We camped at Happy Traveler RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

If you want downtown Palm Springs, this is the place to stay. Within walking distance of everything. Lots are separated by very tall hedges, so not much interaction unless you make an effort, lots of privacy but it is also a great windbreak from the strong winds that can blow in. Great pool, spa, facilities. The manager is terrific. It is an older park with all back-ins so not for the novice, but neighbors are always willing to help. Mostly full-timers, Canadians, gay friendly, and all the rigs were fairly new. We camped at Happy Traveler RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a wonderful RV park! The bathrooms are clean and the pool and spa is open all night! It is well managed and most of the spaces are very large and private with tall hedges in between each space. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. This is the best RV park for it's close proximity to the Palm Springs strip and all of the entertainment and restaurants. You can walk and be on the strip in 15 minutes or a 2 minute car ride. A+ park. We camped at Happy Traveler RV Park in a Motorhome.
