This park is on the Colorado River. It is a boaters paradise. The reason I rate it so poorly is first of all we are not boaters. We are snowbirds looking for a nice clean relaxing place to escape the snows of the north. This park is one of many on the Parker Strip and they are all pretty much the same. Gravel parking lot with a palm tree that offers little shade. It is more than 60 percent mobile/park models crammed together as tightly as they can. Laundry is just a couple of machines and is outside under roof. Most of the prime river sites of the few RV sites available are taken by the TT they own and rent out. There is only 30 amp service and with the near 100* weather our system is running at max. There is a lovely pool which drew me here to begin with. But it is a 2' wading pool that is unheated and I haven't seen anyone use. And we are right next to the pool. I was looking forward to swimming some laps. No can do. There is a nice bar at the pool that serves food. Prices are very reasonable and mixed drinks are very good. There is no cable TV and as this park is located in a sort of canyon, there was no signal for digital. We had to order cable from the local cable company at $60 for month. There are wild burros that are kind of cute but they leave their burro dumplings everywhere and pick up is very slow. The office staff is not rude, but seems disinterested and not very accommodating. Rules are not followed very well=we had several golf carts full of kids with loud radios zooming around our area where it is gravel and no speed bumps. As I said this park is in a canyon of sorts so the noise of the engines of the power boats on the river echos and cant dissipate so it is a constant roar of boat engines. Most of the campers seem to be 30 somethings with boats and ATVs. If you are looking for a place to cut loose and have a whooping good time, this is for you. It wasn't for us. We planned to stay 3 months. We will tough it out for one and then we are out of here. We camped at Echo Lodge Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is keep clean and maintained, the maintenance crew comes around everyday! Cleaned up promptly after a massive wind and rain storm, awesome! The bathroom facility is clean and in good repair but the water is not a consistent temperature that comes out of the shower. In the women's you are better off to use the last two stalls of 4. My husband took a shower and he said it was cold the whole time, I heard from another camper that the water fluctuates from very hot to cold in the men's. Also they should have more hooks in the shower stalls one hook is just not enough and a little bench would also be very nice and helpful! There is no cable TV available you have to call Suddenlink they have poor customer service and we have been waiting for a tech for almost 2 weeks! We camped at Echo Lodge Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice river sites. Most staying for 30 days+. Our site, 112, wasn't too level; we busted a jack trying to level. Lots of mobile folks to fix the problem. AT&T cell was OK, Wi-Fi is only at the office. Views are great! Lots of sand, fires OK on the beach. We might stay here again. We camped at Echo Lodge Resort in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: February, 2009 - $40.00

This park was highly recommended to us. Obviously our standards are different. We were to stay a whole week and stayed only two nights. The public washrooms were filthy, full of sand and cold - no heat in Feb. The pool was empty. We did have a nice site on the beach but our neighbors were only arms length away. On one side the fellow had tool benches set up and looked like he was a full timer. There are lots of park models packed in that look ancient and seem to have a beer sign in all windows. My guess is that this place is hopping in the summer. I would say of all the places I have seen in the US, the Colorado River here is the most gorgeous. Palm trees, mountains and river - it is all here. If we come again to the area we will bring a small boat. We camped at Echo Lodge Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We only stayed one night because it was very windy. The park is very clean and well kept. We were right next to the river. I was disappointed that the pool was closed. We will stay there again. We camped at Echo Lodge Resort in a Travel Trailer.
