I made a reservation 6 weeks ahead of my trip, requesting a pull thru for a one night stop over. When I arrived to check in I was told my reservation shows a back in site. I explained I made my reservations 6 weeks earlier and was told a club had reserved all the pull thrus "2 months ago". I believe my initial request for a pull thru must have shown no availability, so I was assigned a back in without informing me. As I walked the park I noticed that of the 19 pull thru sites, only ONE had a 5th wheel taking up a space. ALL remaining 55'-60' pull thrus were taken up by Class B mini vans. What a waste! The Vines is a nice park, but over priced......and the road noise from the 101 is almost unbearable. We camped at Vines RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The fee was for a week's stay. This park is right on 101, but we just did not notice the noise much, and at night it was almost non existent. One of the cleanest and nicest parks we have ever been in. We camped at Vines RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Paso Robles is a top notch wine area. Daou on the West side has a awesome tasting room with extraordinary views. Cass on the East side is a great place with an awesome chef where one can eat lunch and taste at the same time. Sculpterra on the East side as well, has a lovely tasting room with very large marble, granite, and bronze sculptures through out the grounds. All have wonderful wines and the area has over 300 wineries.

This is a nicely laid out park. Wide roads with no overhanging trees or other obstacles. Sites are concrete (pressed to look like slate) and fairly level. There are hedges but some of the sites are still close together because of the angle. Ours was close; however, we were traveling with friends so it was not a problem. WII FI was good with our extender. Our friends didn't have an extender, and they had problems connecting. Directv connected without any issues, and Verizon had 4g and 3 bars. Great location for visting the local wineries. Two big dings - constant road noise from 101 and construction inside the park. We, unfortunately, were parked right next to the area where they stored the construction materials. Starting at 8:00am and ending at 5:00pm was the constant cacophony of bobcats running in and out of the storage area. We, literally, could not sit outside and even had to close the doors and windows inside so we could have normal conversations. We relayed our dissatisfaction to the park staff but there was no offer for compensation. If we had known ahead of time, we would have stayed somewhere else. We camped at Vines RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We found this park big rig friendly, easy off/on to Highway 101 with level concrete sites, efficient staff but the highway noise from 101 is not pleasant and disruptive to conversations and sleep. Passport America sites are closer to road but would not return even at $26 as highway noise is never ceasing! We camped at Vines RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here in December and it was our 2nd visit. We were disappointed as none of the ballrooms, lounge, etc., were open. It is still a beautiful park and we will come back, but when nothing is open, it is a little expensive. Right on the freeway but the noise did not bother us. Hwy 101 is just outside the park; the sites we were in had hardly any noise, but other sites are noisy. Very friendly camp hosts, will help with all your needs.

Dog parks are at far end of the park (very long walk); would be nice to have a dog park up front.

The pool was heated and hot tub was clean. They have a barbeque on a patio near the pool that you can use, plus on these patios there were fire pits and they supplied the wood.

Very nice park, but a little expensive. We camped at Vines RV Resort in a Motorhome.

These are not just concrete pads, they are pressed to look like slate. Each site has hedges on either side for privacy and a separate paved area for a picnic table.

I have never seen such elegant bathrooms and showers! And a bar, ballroom with crystal chandeliers, a quiet library where one can sit and read and an outdoor patio with tables and chairs and stools and bar height stools. In this patio area, there are two large pools and a hot tub. It is more like the Hilton than a campground.

Here's something I've never seen: There is a man from their crew out here this morning scrubbing each vacant site with a pressure washer!

What a wonderful place! Stay here! We camped at Vines RV Resort in a Motorhome.

My wife and I selected The Vines as the inaugural destination for a newly purchased 5th wheel, and it turned out to be an outstanding choice. Our pull-thru site was well landscaped with discrete hedges and fragrant smelling trees. The site's surface reminded us of textured slate and was superbly level. The inherent road noise from adjoining Highway 101 was noticeable but not so loud as to disturb our sleep. Sites are also quite wide and long enough to accommodate the largest motorhomes and trailers. Interior roads are wide enough to make backing in very convenient. Two dog areas are provided and are very well maintained.

The Vines has two swimming pools, one for adults and the other for families. Even though the weather was in the mid-nineties during our late September stay, the pools and were lightly used, even though they were pristinely maintained. The hot tub was popular with the more longterm guests.

On the recreational side, winery visits are highly promoted as well jaunts to local breweries, especially the immensely popular Firestone-Walker brewery in Paso Robles. In addition, picturesque cities like Pismo Beach, Cayucos, Morro Bay and Cambria are no more than 30-40 minutes away.

We very much enjoyed our stay at The Vines and plan on making a return trip in the near future. We camped at Vines RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a beautiful park, no doubt about it. All the amenities one would want. Very clean, accommodating for groups, conveniently located. However, it is right next to Highway 101 with a truck stop across the street, and there is only a 5 foot brick wall sound barrier. It was extremely loud. The brick mason was there adding the "cap" to the wall, and I asked him if the park had any plans to make the wall higher. He said "nope". We camped at Vines RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful park. All concrete slabs with full hookups. There's a nice office/small store with coffee in the a.m. There are two pools one for family and one for adults only. There's also a nice jacuzzi. There are two small dog runs and a larger dog park towards the back of the park. We love it here. We camped at Vines RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice and well-kept campground. No escort to site and some back-ins are very difficult to access. NO ESPN which is an issue for the New Years' bowl games. Not really acceptable for $70 per night. Other than that, very nice and would stay again. Disappointed about the lack of ESPN on their system. Some freeway noise, but no really an issue. We camped at Vines RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

First time stay at the Vines. Motorhome group outing for the New Year. I found the cleanliness a striking feature...everything, and I mean everything was spotless. We had use of the meeting facilities and they were well designed, again...clean...and had everything that we needed. The staff was friendly and very, very helpful. The only downside is when leaving the park and heading South on Hwy 101 you have to cross the Northbound traffic...if you are patient it can be done safely. This is a great park and I/we look forward to returning the last week of December 2016. We camped at Vines RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Obviously you should visit the wineries and taste some great wines. Downtown Paso Robles is fun to explore as well. If you need propane, it is NOT available in the park, but IS available just across the highway at the truck stop. The restaurant at the truck stop is pretty good too. Enjoy your stay, we sure did!

If you like to "glamp", as do I, you want to read this review. The Vines is the love child of a penthouse suite at Mandalay Bay meets camping in the beautiful wine country of Paso Robles... did I mention there's wine!!! The campground is well thought out with entertainment for all. The lounge, bar, pool, common areas, sites, bathrooms...all beautiful. And the showers, nothing short of exquisite... the best I've seen anywhere (up to and including a few Marriotts and Ritz Carlton's I've stayed at... For real, go see for yourself)!!! The staff started with excellence from the moment I enter the door for check in and they only raised the bar through out my stay! I will definitely go back. If you are a light sleeper or sensitive to constant noise, don't stay in any of the sites that back up to the 101 Fwy. The highway noise is not horrible, but it is constant... Anywhere else in the park, you won't hear it at all!! Honestly, after a few wine tastings at the fabulous and plentiful wineries... you probably won't notice anyway!!! We camped at Vines RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
