This is a county fairground park that has a section of the fairgrounds that provide a grassed area for many pull thru and back in sites with 30A and 50A with FHU available at grassed, level campsites. Check in is at a small office staffed by friendly people. Our reservation was waiting when we arrived with space already assigned. Sites are fairly close side to side, but my site was 80' long which provided space for my 40' Class A towing an 18' car hauler trailer with plenty of room to park my second vehicle in front with room to spare!!! Do not use a GPS direction because it will take you to the actual fairgrounds which is in a different location that the RV park. Locate Gate 12 off of Valley Ave. Water pressure was adequate. We did not use the park bathroom or showers so cannot review those facilities. Fee was $65/night for my long pull thru which is higher than I would want to spend, but for our purposes, the location was the key. Other parks in the area cannot support the length needed for my rig and RV parks are scarce in the Castro Valley, Pleasanton and Dublin areas. We would certainly return when in the area because of its location and length of pull thru sites. We camped at The Fair Park RV - Alameda County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Very tight spots with narrow roads where parking regulations are only a suggestion. Had 50A back in site where we had to park toad away from unit because there was no room for coach and toad. WiFi was iffy. They have another park on site that is used as a mobile home park for permanents. Have heard they will convert that to a real RV park which may provide the opportunity to provide significantly better sites. With that said, it's the only game around. We camped at The Fair Park RV - Alameda County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

We stayed in a 30 amp pull through site which is two back in sites back to back. The RV's are very close together and and the roads are tight because of all the cars and trucks squeezed amongst the RV's. We were surprised the rules regarding the age of the RV, no smoking in the park, storing junk around the RV's were not enforced giving the park a rundown look. We did notice the area where the 50 amp sites are neater looking due to newer motorhomes occupying the area. This is a good location near the bay area only to park the RV and sleep at night. In winter it is muddy due to mostly dirt and some gravel. As said in other reviews, it is not a scenic destination. The check in process was fast and efficient giving them a better rating for service. We camped at The Fair Park RV - Alameda County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

It's a parking lot with hook-ups, but everything works well and the staff is very nice. No issues with electric, water, or sewer. Wifi is the best I've ever seen in an rv park. Great location if you're attending an event at the fairgrounds or need to be in Pleasanton/Livermore. We camped at The Fair Park RV - Alameda County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

This is a convenient park for visiting family or the S.F. area or an overnighter. The spaces are very tight and if your RV is over 30' you may have difficulty parking a toad or tow vehicle in the back-in spaces. However, you may stick out a little as the roads are wide. The hookups are behind your RV so you will need extra sewer hose and possibly water hose. We typically pull into another empty space when we leave to dump. Basically, this is a park of convenience and not a destination-park but we have frequently used it, especially over the holidays. The Alameda County Fairgrounds RV Park is expensive, but given the alternatives available in the Bay area it is really the only good choice. Easy access from I-680. Friendly and helpful staff. Our 50 amp site was a back-in. The sites are narrow given slides etc. There was no room for our truck at the site. The sites can get muddy and were while we were there. Great wifi. Easy DirecTv set-up. All utilities worked well. The electric pedestal, water spigot and sewer connection are all together at the back of the site. The maximum stay is 21 days, but if space is available you can extend, but you must move to a different site. There is an RV dealer on site with a good supply of RV related goods and propane. We camped at The Fair Park RV - Alameda County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Ugly parking space for an RV, with full hookups. No view. Close to neighbors. If you want a pull through, what they give you is 2 sites. This is so not worth the price but it is basically the only place around, so take it or leave it. I think it was fairly level. As others have said, it is basically a parking lot. Tight spaces and mostly dirt/gravel. 50 amp pull throughs had some grass. Laundry facilities were clean and reasonable. There is an RV store on site. Plenty of places to walk, and we even found a back entrance to the neighborhood next to the park so we could walk to downtown Pleasanton. They don't give any discounts for weekly or monthly. They also demand full payment at time of reservation. No refunds, but they will keep your unused days on record to use at a later date. Out of luck if you don't plan to return. We have family nearby, which would be the only reason to go back. We camped at The Fair Park RV - Alameda County Fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

This Park is run by Alameda County - pretty much the only game in town so they do whatever they want, including but not limited to not enforcing rules&regs, as stated on 3 pages given to us upon check-in. It states that only rigs 10 years or less were allowed-that's a joke. The first space they took us to was at the edge of the property where it smelled like urine, between 2 ancient jalopies, occupied by "interesting" characters. Not willing to stay there even 1 night, much less the 7 nights we booked and paid for, I ran to the check-in booth, requesting a better space, which thankfully they had available. Why on earth they would put us in such a terrible location when I had asked for a NICE one, being the number of days we wanted to stay and a stream of visitors we were expecting, is beyond comprehension. Oh - and both of the "characters" were there permanently and hadn't moved in months, although the rules state 14 days max or change location. No vehicle repair or washing on site - saw several of them, and even did it ourselves. Animals: providing proof of vaccinations and always on leashes - not so much either - including one breed not allowed - a Rottweiler! So I wonder what's the point of having all those rules, if NONE are enforced? Be aware that the Fairgrounds smell like horses - there's a race track, and other livestock when they have such events. And since there is almost no rain in that area, there is no grass to speak of - just dusty dirt. It seems most of the water hook-ups were leaking quite a bit. Upon notifying the attendants we were told that the park gets its water from an aquifer-not to worry about wasting water. We camped at The Fair Park RV - Alameda County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

We've stayed here before and for the price it's great. Very convenient to the freeways as well as a nearby BART station. Shopping right down the street. If there's an event going on it can be crowded and a little more difficult to get in and out of the park. Several long term that aren't too nice looking but generally it's a great place if you're visiting the Bay Area. Wifi works great but no cable TV and we had a hard time getting local stations with aerial. You can't beat the price! Staff is very responsive to any concerns, too! We have stayed here many times, as we have relatives in Pleasanton. When we first started staying here, it only had 20 amp service and the sewer connection was up and over a log! It has since improved, but only in that it now offers 30 and 50 amps, and a flat (but way long) run to the sewer. The sites are narrow and not well delineated, some grass (a mud bog in winter), some compacted gravel, none "policed" well. We were willing to tolerate this, even at $50 per night for a back-in site, for the convenience.

Now, they have started a new "no rig over 10 years old without management approval" policy. Our 2003 Holiday Rambler Endeavor (on which we still owe $50,000+) is now no longer acceptable! It's in perfect condition, but they won't take a reservation sight unseen, and won't guarantee they will have room for you after they see and "approve" it! We have run into these kind of restrictions at fancy, high-dollar motorcoach "resorts," but come on folks: this is a parking lot with hookups! We camped at The Fair Park RV - Alameda County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

The park is nice but not worth the price. They are the only park in the area and they take full advantage of it. The grass was not mowed while we were there, the sites are extremely close and we had trouble trying to fit our truck on the site and we did not want to park it outside of the park so we upgraded to the pull through site at a premium. If we had another option we would not have stayed here. We have stayed at other parks for less that are beautiful and offer many services. This park offers nothing for the high cost of the site. The laundry room was surface clean but the machines were dirty and it was dirty under the washers and dryers. There are also many workers that stay at the park so be prepared to be wake up early to the sound of them leaving and coming home. We camped at The Fair Park RV - Alameda County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

All time champion for being overpriced, and it's an additional whopper $20 deposit, if you need a bathhouse key; glad we didn't. Site not level. Hookups satisfactory. Wifi satisfactory. No cable. This place is Days Inn at Ritz Carlton prices. On the positive side, it was safe and quiet, and the camp host was friendly and helpful. County owned, and they aren't worried about competition. Had placed chemicals dangerous to dogs on grass, but check in staff did know of it; we were warned by some other campers. Suggest double checking directions to the park.
