Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $11.00
This campground is located on Union Valley Reservoir in El Dorado National Forest. We stay in site 19 or 22 (which are first come/no reservation). We can get satellite without the portable dish in site 19. We have AT&T and cell service is great. Most sites have a view of the lake, and some are actually on the lake. There is 2 miles of dirt road (logging road) to the campground, but the campground is paved, as are the sites. You can safely leave your boat on the beach overnight. Vault toilets. Bear boxes, and there are bears in the late summer. Launch is at Sunset Campground. This is a beautiful lake for fishing or water sports. Lake level is very low after July. But it is still a great campground. Sites 16, 18, 21, 24, 25 and 26 are not good for RVs. We have a senior pass, which saves us half of the nightly fee of $22. We camped at Wolf Creek Campground in a Motorhome.Undo
