We stayed here last week for the second time in 2 months. We love this park and will gladly stay any time we are in Quincy. The park is very well cared for and the people are wonderful. Because of the very large trees throughout the park, the asphalt is uneven. The shade is worth it. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is a gem. And so are the owners who work constantly to keep the park gorgeous. Navigation into the park is very easy and navigation through the park is very easy. Lanes are wide & paved. Sites are long, wide, paved with picnic table, and large section of grass on both sides between sites. Views are of gorgeous pine covered hills. Utilities w/50 amp placed center & worked well Landscaping is beautiful with very tall pine trees on both sides of every site. No dog park but a lovely city park is right next door. Park has cable and the WIFI is excellent. AT&T Cell service was good and our Verizon Hotspot WIFI worked well. Onsite laundry is very clean. We had no bugs. We cannot wait to return - hopefully later this summer We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Not much to say that hasn't been said. Nice park in a nice area. It's well kept and the owner's live on property. Two observations: First, we were delayed arriving by a day. We called ahead and explained, assuming we'd just eat the cost of the first day and stay the remaining six nights. Nope! The owner moved our reservation back a day for us with out us asking. As far as we're concerned, he didn't have to do that since it was our fault. Second, within minutes of a site being vacated, workers were there sweeping, cleaning and tidying things up even if no one took the spot later on that day. On both counts we were impressed. The weekly rate is kind of steep but in this case, the service is worth it. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

Water pressure is very high. They recommend using a pressure reducer. Make sure you've got one.

Very pleasant stay. Park has good shade. Bathrooms and showers were immaculate. Did not use laundry but looked in and room was tidy, clean, and large. Above average internet response times. Owners were very accommodating making sure we got a site that suited our needs. Very quite during our stay mid-week but may be different on weekends as park sits adjacent to fairgrounds and a city park. Also, we noticed that perimeter sites picked up more noise from surrounding properties the the interior sites. Would return here if in area. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a great park The owners are very helpful and nice. It has the feel of a family park the owners make you feel very welcome and they appreciate the camper. It is an older park but well maintained and is no problem for big rigs. The sites vary in length but all have good distance between sites. The roads are paved as are some of the sites. The grounds are kept cut trimmed and clean. The sites are cleaned, tables and utilities are wiped down after every departure. All the utilities worked well. It is a popular park and I can see why. It is not a fancy resort but it has all the amenities and a beautiful park in the woods. It will become one of our favorite parks. We will return again. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean laundry with full sized machines. Owners have pride in park. We discussed which site would work best for us. We got a shady site with sat access. Plenty of scenery. $250 for a week. Would stay again. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

A good camping experience, lots of trees and shade. The Park is immaculate, the owners keep the grounds in excellent condition. Asphalt roads and sites, ours was level, full hook up, picnic table, with WiFi and cable TV. WiFi was a bit slow but worked for email. RV park is next to the fairgrounds with a playground for kids. Campfires are not permitted. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A very well maintain campground. Some sites are quite spacious but not all. All sites are clean up, concrete patio pad swept, picnic table and seats wiped down, etc. as soon as the rig checks out. The roads inside the campground are very bumpy and way past the maintenance years. Most of the sites are well shaded with trees. T-Mobile reception was good. However, the wifi signal was very weak and very difficult to get on. We will camp here again. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Nice, small, quiet and comfortable park. Sites are ample and can accommodate large Class A Motorhomes. The owners are very active running the park, very friendly and take good care of the campers and the park. Roads and sites are paved and there are plenty of trees around but not too many. You can still get satellite. Phone reception is excellent. The wi-fi is spotty at times and could use an upgrade. Park is dog friendly and has a dog wash. No dog run, but the county fairgrounds are next to the park with plenty of space to let your dog have some fun. There are a few (very few) full time residents, who are friendly and neat with their site. Bathrooms are small with coin operated showers, but it is a small park. They just constructed a "gathering area" with a communal grill and gas fireplace. Nice place to meet your neighbors.

The location is in the middle of the Plumas National Forest with plenty of lakes, rivers, logging roads and outdoor adventures. We were here about a month on a pull thru site in a 45' Class A. We very much enjoyed our stay. Everyone made us feel like part of the family. The only reason to not give them a 9 rating is the lack of a pool or hot tub.

In summary, we highly recommend the park and the location, especially if you like outdoor activities. We will definitely be back!!! We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

As of '11, the park got new owners. They have done a number of TLC improvements: more natural light in the restrooms, smoother/wider interior roads, and more pleasant interactions with the owners and staff. New owners were the best thing that ever happened to this park.

Satellite access is sometimes a challenge.

There isn't an off-leash area for the dogs but there is a large treed open field right outside the park that is conducive to letting dogs run a bit. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A very clean and well maintained park with long pull-throughs and great spacing between paved sites. Lots of trees but well spaced so satellite reception was excellent. Very nice owners eager to provide local information. Great walking areas around the park. Quincy is a wonderful little town with lots of sightseeing all around. Great RV Park, friendly staff, quiet at night. Sites were level asphalt, good spacing, some shade, picnic tables. WiFi and cable TV worked good. 5-minutes from town. High water pressure, bring a water-pressure valve. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great park to use as a base for exploring the area. Sites were level, park was clean and well maintained. We camped here as part of a group and used the clubhouse for evening activities. The owners were friendly and very helpful. Good WiFi and cell service for both Verizon and ATT. Many of the spots have good line of sight for roof top satellite. It's about a half block from the fairgrounds, so if you are a light sleeper be sure to check the fairground schedule for the Plumas/Sierra County Fairgrounds www.plumas-sierracountyfair.net. There were stock car races on Saturday night while we were there that went until after 10PM. It wasn't too bad but it's enough to keep a light sleeper awake. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.
