We really liked this place, many large sites, rustic with lots of trees, super friendly and helpful staff. Nice clubhouse with outside gas fire pit, fishing pond, horseshoes, mini-golf, pool and spa, playground, etc. There are many large sites, big rigs in our group had no problems. We will return. Sat TV hard to get in some sites (trees), cable TV is minimal. Wi-Fi at clubhouse worked well. Some road noise, but not bad at night. This park has a lot of potential and apparently used to be kind of rundown. It's been renamed and they are doing a good job improving it. This could easily be a 5 star resort with some more TLC. There's a lot of nice trees in the park and our site was no exception. It was a gravel site that was somewhat level. Some of the amenities include a shuffleboard court miniature golf course dog run basketball court and a clubhouse that actually has some board games books in a pool table in it. There's a short hiking trail that we didn't use. We didn't go in the pool or use the playground but it's nice to have them. Her only complaint is that it's right next to route 78 and we did hear some cars on it - at least on our side of the park. We camped at Ramona Oaks RV Resort (formerly Ramona Canyon RV Resort) in a Motorhome.

Hard to get big rigs in & the ofc didn't seem to be able to give you helpful directions since there are 2 ways into sites. We changed sites as did someone else we watched struggle for 1/2 hr. Very expensive for no wifi except at clubhouse. We camped at Ramona Oaks RV Resort (formerly Ramona Canyon RV Resort) in a Motorhome.

Told we would have WiFi and satellite but we did not. We were told they had pull thru sites, but did not. We were to be there for a week but when we arrived there was no one to help or ask questions. We moved to another park the next day. The sewer was 30 feet from the trailer and it was raining and nothing but mud. No patio area to walk on, only dirt and mud. We camped at Ramona Oaks RV Resort (formerly Ramona Canyon RV Resort) in a Travel Trailer.

The park has recently been taken over by new owners and from what I understand, completely renovated. I can't speak for how it was before but now, it is fantastic! The cabin we stayed in was lovely. Perfect for our family of 4. The pool was huge and clean. The spa was warm and bubbly. The people (fellow campers) are friendly and the staff was attentive and very nice. The mini golf was fun, the fish were biting in the lake and the clubhouse had a nice pool table, gathering area and community fire pit. The bathrooms and showers were clean. A nice large laundry room is provided. We will be back! We camped at Ramona Oaks RV Resort (formerly Ramona Canyon RV Resort) in a Cabin.

Have been back for another stay since Sept. Amazed to see so much remodeling. Trees trimmed, clubhouse is beautiful with a turf landscaping, adding a kitchen, bocci ball, community propane fire pit. Lake is full from rains and Canadian geese. All cabins remodeled with new furniture. Enjoyed the spa with new friends. This park will be a great destination resort. Best kept secret private park now open to the public. Sites are nestled in huge oak and pepper trees. Pool is huge and very clean as well as the spa. Children playground and huge dog run is just a few amenities this park offers. Near Julian and lots of wineries. We camped at Ramona Oaks RV Resort (formerly Ramona Canyon RV Resort) in a Motorhome.

We loved this place. Cheap, quiet, space, lovely pool, even lovelier staff. Take a rod, there's a fishing pond on site. 4" to 3" adapter required for blackwater drain. Toilets were old and stained but they are planning a big overhaul soon and most RVs have their own restroom. I can see that some large RVs struggled to get in and out of the place but we had no trouble in a 31 footer. Again, this should be fixed in the site overhaul. Regardless, I woudn't hesitate to go back just as it is. We camped at Ramona Oaks RV Resort (formerly Ramona Canyon RV Resort) in a Motorhome.

We just started full time camping with two kids (6 & 8) and camp in a 40' motor home. The park employees didn't seem to know much of the area or didn't want to share any information even though she said she worked there for five years now. We stayed a week. but used it as a base camp to go to San Diego and So. Cal. The whole park smelled of dog doo. The pool was ice cold and spa was down for repair. The clubhouse was on top of a steep hill and not very accessible. The roads are narrow but blacktopped in the campground and have a high rollover curb to keep the campsites from washing away. Backing over the curb damaged my Blue Ox and ripped off my full length mudflap. The manager did give me some business cards of companies in town that could repair my RV. I told her that if these sites were a problem they should at least inform people before hand. She told us that they can always fix the blacktop! By the looks of the gouges in the road and curbs I wasn't the first to have damage done to my rig. The sites were dirt and the RV needed sweeping four times a day. They have internet, at the clubhouse, but the manager told us it was slower than dial-up and cost two dollars a day. The campground is in a canyon so cell phone and Mifi was spotty. There was talk of a wild fire a few years back but we didn't see any evidence of it. There wasn't much for maintenance being done anywhere in the park. The drains in the showers on the men's side were slow and backed up but the pressure was good and the spiders didn't bother me. It looked like all the best sites went to the employees. The kids liked the swing set by the pool area but the wood chips washed away leaving mud to play in. We were there over Christmas week and there was no activities in the park at all. We all decided to pass on going back to this park. We camped at Ramona Oaks RV Resort (formerly Ramona Canyon RV Resort) in a Motorhome.

Asphalt interior roads with many speed bumps. All back in, level gravel sites. Trees around site needing trimming. Lots of shade. Quiet. Nice folks. Laundry clean. Open air and shaded. Beautiful setting. There is a charge for Wi-Fi and then you must go to the clubhouse to use it. Its as slow as molasses - the only downside of our stay. We would stay again. This park has many shady sites and has a pond with ducks and geese. There is a laundry, a clubhouse for movies and games, and a swimming pool. We enjoyed visiting the town of Julian during their Apple Days Festival and the town of Ramona which has a promenade, down their main street, of many large, old eucalyptus trees. We toured the cities of San Diego, Oceanside and Escondido while staying at this park. We camped at Ramona Oaks RV Resort (formerly Ramona Canyon RV Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Very friendly staff. Grounds are clean. We had a large site that was easy to get into. Some are smaller and look harder to back into. Entry way is very bad - easy to miss when coming from Ramona and very steep. I came very close to scraping back of rig. Wi-Fi is only at club house and depending on membership there is a $2 charge. A nice wooded setting. Very friendly staff. The bathrooms and showers are not heated and heat lamps in both men and women were not working. Be careful in turning left if coming from Ramona. We suggest pulling off to the right until the traffic clears. We camped at Ramona Oaks RV Resort (formerly Ramona Canyon RV Resort) in a Motorhome.
