I give this campground a 10 rating because it is beautiful, but please be warned: the road to it is long and rough and, in wet weather would be impassable. The first 10 miles is paved. The next 10 miles is fairly smooth gravel. The final 5 miles is slow and rough, but very drivable. We made it there in a 42' Holiday Rambler Imperial diesel motorhome pulling a full sized truck with no problems other than massive amounts of dust from the road. We had the place to ourselves, a small herd of wild mustangs, some deer and a few cows. There are beautiful wild horses everywhere. The reservoir is stocked with trout and white pelicans are eating them as fast as they can. Good trails, climbing, bicycling. The amenities look brand new. Concrete picnic tables, brand new fire rings, great sites on different levels, all fairly separate and private, right on the edge of the lake. If you even think it will rain, get out of there! Otherwise, it is a very remote slice of paradise. Beautiful stars at night and no city or road noise, ever. We camped at Dodge Reservoir Campground in a Motorhome.Undo
