They escort you to your site, which we appreciate. There is pick up garbage service in the morning. Very clean, quiet and sits beside the Sacramento River. It is close to I-5 but we were on the opposite side so no issue with traffic noise. Very clean and pretty. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Have stayed here a number of times in the past few years, each time we had a riverfront site since it affords more grassy 'living space' essentially. These sites can accommodate both back-in and pull-in, as they have very good utilities on both sides. They slope towards the river, so MH drainage may be an issue if you pull in (our front wheels were off the ground) Weather during our stay was in the high 90's and no 50 amp power issues. The very large and cool pool was almost empty, so that was enjoyable. A number of tables there with umbrellas as well as lounge chairs. Curbside trash pickup is nice, and as one reviewer already said, it would be nice to have a receptacle at the end of the site instead of bags lying around each site. Check in was very friendly, professional and quick. The young man who checked us in also escorted us to the site and went over the layout with us. Second negative was the guy in the large noisy lawnmower at 9am on a 99 degree day whizzing through each site, including the grassy living spaces in front of the sites, moving your chairs and things out of the way. No forewarning of this. River was very high and very fast moving. Be careful hiking near the freeway underpass...homeless encampment. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Shari's Cafe does have excellent pies. Their food is just ok. Luigi's has great pizza and salads and stuff, and they deliver. Very pricey pizza though. Food Maxx next door has about all you need. Didn't know (and their website doesn't indicate nor the front desk doesn't tell you) that Luigi's Pizza is closed on Monday. We did use them on Tuesday and they delivered excellent food to our site.

This is a wonderful, relatively new park. Spacious sites with full hookups. Two laundry areas. Gated community with fountains and the Sacramento River running next to it. Cable is good; Wifi was good. Very quiet, even though it is right on I-5. A bit tricky to get to it. Take the Antelope off-ramp (from south turn left - from north turn right) and go to Central. Turn right and go to Lake. Turn right again and left into the park. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Shari's Cafe is right outside the gate. Excellent food (pork nachos are wonderful) and great pie. Redding is about 30 minutes north. Day trips to Mt. Lassen and Burney Falls are a must see.

Not the cheapest place we've stayed at but definitely one of the nicest. Nice pull through sites and very well maintained. They also have a really nice dog area. The employees were pleasant and helpful when we checked in. It's also pretty quiet despite the proximity to the freeway. All in all, a nice park and one we will come back to again. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is my regular stopover on the way north and south. Always friendly staff and you are escorted to your site. The sites are spacious and well maintaned. The restroom and showers are spotless. Though I-5 is close by, traffic noise is not an issue. I'll be back. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Note that price listed includes taxes. Very clean park with clubhouse, pool, hot tub, pet area. No access to Sacramento River but some sites back up to it. Grocery store and restaurant just outside entrance. Easy access from I-5. Would recommend the West side of the park as it is further away from freeway. Many pull through sites available. Has gate that is closed at night (must use passcode given at registration or call for security if gate is closed). We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Fountain is on timer, came on in the morning, slightly startling until we realized what the noise was. Yes, you can hear the freeway noise, but it is not terrible. Closest to the freeway are the long term sites. Clean and well kept facility. Power pedestal on BOTH sides of site. Allows back in or pull in! The surrounding area is not the best, but nothing to worry about if cautious. Site 86 has the path to the pool next to it. If a concern, park with your entry door/awning on the other side. We arrived late and left early...If arriving late, ask how to get in. The gate is locked, you have to use a call box, but one sign said no late arrivals. Would use the facility again. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Free WiFi, park uses 802.11AC Ubiquiti CPE equipment; strong signal, as good as sitting inside a famous coffee shop franchise. Free cable TV, bathhouse & $1.50 laundry, very nice large swimming pool & clubhouse, daily morning garbage pickup at campsite. OK to receive delivery small packages/parcels. Manicured landscape maintained daily, nightly roving security patrol. Rates: exactly as advertised on their website, pull through $53 daily / $318 weekly, extended stay $475 - $550 monthly plus electricity Good cell phone reception most carriers. Up to date and always spotlessly clean. Park staff very pleasant and helpful. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We travel full time and this is one of the nicest parks we have stayed in. Beautiful grounds. Beautiful pool and clubhouse. The only negatives would be the fitness center which is actually a closet with 1 treadmill and 1 bicycle, the showers are very small and the laundry room is tight. We would however stay here again. This is almost a perfect park. The sites are wide, level and paved. There is exquisite landscaping, wide roads, great service, curbside trash pick up, 24/7 security roaming the park in their golf carts. The pool is great, the service is excellent and the young lady that does the massage is outstanding! The only reason I did not give it a 10 is because it is located right beside I-5 so it is not quiet. The services very close to the park are great, grocery store almost next door, fuel really close, Luigi's Pizza, who will deliver to the park, is very good, easy on and off the freeway, as I mentioned. Wonderful park all round. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
