We stayed one night. The staff people were open and friendly. The park is on the side of a hill so there is the need to walk uphill or downhill anywhere you go.

If you plan to go there, use the street address in your GPS and not the name of the park. There is a lot of confusion for the GPS when you put in Mountain Gate.

The park is on the east side of I-5. We camped at Mountain Gate RV Park in a Motorhome.

I have stayed here many times. We have 42 FW with 5 slides! This is by far the best Park near Redding. Safe, clean, friendly. I stay nation wide and this Park beats them all. Close to Redding, Mt Shasta and Lassen Volcanic National Park. Full hookups with shade trees. Best WIFI I have ever found. You won't be disappointed. I highly recommend this Park. Big Rig Friendly! We camped at Mountain Gate RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Spa and pool are well maintained. Laundry rooms are first rate. This is a "safe" place to stay. I can't make that claim about other RV Parks in the area. Easy in off I5 and big rig friendly.

Great stay. Nice pool, nice shaded concrete sites, great views, free coffee and muffins in the morning. Great wifi, friendly staff, clean and quiet. Stayed here labor day weekend for 4 nights. Excellent hiway signage and directions. Will stay again. We camped at Mountain Gate RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Plenty of shopping, resturants, camping world, freightliner, all in Redding 10 minutes away.

We stayed here overnight. Site was a small pull-thru but adequate for our 24' motorhome. Small grassy area next to the paved coach pad. Picnic table and some shade. Coffee and sweets in the morning; nice store; friendly staff; clean enclosed dog run. Temp was over 90 degrees so we stayed indoors. Cable was appreciated. We would stay here again. + 8 sites are wide and level, have concrete pads and some shade, the elec is good, and the park is terraced with grassy slopes
- 2 the noise from I-5 is noticeable -- and it can get rather hot
We would definitely stay again. We camped at Mountain Gate RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Shopping is not nearby, but a Chevron gas station is

This park is located right off of I-5 just north of Redding, CA. It's nestled in trees, the road is paved and sites are concrete. Some of the sites have a "steepish" hill to either back into to pull out. The site had 30, 50 amp and was pull through and basically level with cable. Some have large rocks around the utility hookups. Some sites have concrete picnic tables but all sites appear to have tables. There is wifi. There is a small store with a few supplies and ice. They sell propane. The bathrooms are good size and clean. It has a laundry room with 4 washers and 5 dryers and inexpensive to use. It has a fair amount of room and folding table. There is a pool and a club room. The club has tables and chairs, a large wrap around couch and TV with movies to watch. In the mornings they have a continental breakfast in the club. It's a clean park and well maintained. The park is about a 15 min drive from good shopping and restaurants like Costco, Walmart, Target, Home Depot, movie theater, Trader Joe's, Olive Garden, Famous Dave's just to mention a few and a mall with Macy's, Penney's, Sears. We camped at Mountain Gate RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Worth a drive to see the sundial bridge that is close in town. Nothing exciting there really, just unusual to see.

In all our years of RVing, this was one of the cleanest and most well-maintained parks we've visited. Additionally, the wifi was the most reliable internet in any park visited. The park is right off the I-5 which makes for easy on and off when traveling. We would stay here again. We camped at Mountain Gate RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is a one day drive from home and have stayed here often. Easy to get to, good price, and a nice clean park. Concrete pads are level and the utilities are positioned near the center of each site making them very convenient. Freeway noise is noticeable but not bothersome. We camped at Mountain Gate RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

No frills but great overnight park. Can't beat if for the price. WiFi is browser based but worked ok. Lots of trees, your sat is not going to work most likely. But...it's Redding! You want shade in the summer! We camped at Mountain Gate RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice spaces between sites and clever use of site placement made it feel private. Helpful staff. Designated dog area was remote. Few common grass areas. Breakfast (continental) is a nice touch, and uncommon. Wide streets. Would stay again. We camped at Mountain Gate RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This pretty park is located about seven miles north of Redding on Interstate 5, so there is no commute traffic in the morning. It is easy to find and easy to maneuver around in. The manager was very helpful and accommodating. All of the parks in Redding are nice and this one is no exception. We would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Mountain Gate RV Park in a Motorhome.

The price quoted was before both the Good Sam discount, and a $1.00 charge for the dog. Good hookups including cable. The management provides scented poop bags and a fenced dog walk which is always appreciated. The sites have shade trees, tables and grassy areas. Will definitely stay here again when in the area. Great park to stay while visiting Lake Shasta area, without staying at Lake Shasta. WiFi and cable TV worked well. Park is near I-5, but freeway noise was not an issue. Some long term residences. But not a problem. We stayed for 2 nights while visiting Lake Shasta Dam and Shasta Caverns .

We camped in a fifth wheel. We camped at Mountain Gate RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We had hoped to make it up to Blue Heron RV park but were running late and found this place. Very close to the freeway but overall a very nice place. The concrete pads were a treat. They are pet friendly with many areas to take your dogs. They do charge a dollar for each dog and 2 dollars for every extra person. Still the value very good compared to a KOA. They do have a peculiar WiFi limit of one device per customer that perplexed us since we registered late and weren't told. We camped at Mountain Gate RV Park in a Motorhome.

I didn't think quite as highly of the park as others. The WiFi was not good at all, I was constantly kicked off. The cable was OK but a bit sketchy at times. The sites were very small. I asked for a back in site which was on the perimeter so I could have easy access to the dog runs, I got a site on the end of an island in the middle with about a 4 x 5 area of grass, very small sites. On the up side, the bathrooms and showers were spotless and a very very friendly staff. The noise from I-5 was pretty loud all the time, even through the evening. There are a lot of permanents, but as others have said, all nice and well maintained. I would have rated higher except for the noise, WiFi ( or lack of) and site size. We camped at Mountain Gate RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
