This park is old and doesn't look good on approach. It's not cheap either. But it's the only one anywhere near Menlo Park including going north or south on 101. The back area is really well maintained with very good hook ups, power pole is in good condition. But what really made our stay exceptional is the manager and her husband!

The first night we lost 12V power. It's amazing how dependent a coach is without it. We had 110 power. We called the office on Saturday morning to ask about a mobile repair. There's only one. They tried to get out but were just too busy and could come only on Monday. This manager gentleman, who has considerable RV service knowledge, came to us and diagnosed our problem. He spent at least two hours testing and another hour making a temporary fix. We would have been there a least 2-3 more days, stressed not knowing where the problem was. But he took his personal time to figure out the likely cause, allowing us to reach our destination and get repairs completed while not being in transit. THANK YOU! We camped at Trailer Villa RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have "kids" at Stanford and so have stayed here a handful of times. This trip, we are in the expensive, pull-through way back.......on the salt flat bay. It's quiet with a pretty nice view for being in the city. Bathrooms in the expensive seats are newer, high end and spotless. No complaints with sites. They've cleaned up the main resident's section that you drive through to access the rear for overnighters. Staff has turned over, and I miss the adorable older woman I used to interact with in the office. New staff not so sharp. Can't reserve on-line, rarely get through on phone, and took TWO days to return my call. The Wi-Fi is terrible. You get a coupon and, after going through a drill to "register," you might slowly get connected,.......but I never actually got service. I called the vendor's 800 # and, after a 10 min. wait, got some guy who didn't care and blamed it on the fact that the park's bandwidth is insufficient for the number of users (It was mid-day!!!!). Verizon Mi-Fi has rescued me, but I really feel abused to pay $95, and have no internet. If you don't need a pull-through you can probably save ~$15 a night, but you might want to try to get a key for the bathrooms in the back which are a big redeeming factor. We camped at Trailer Villa RV Park in a Motorhome.

Alright folks, if you are coming here in an R.V. for a short stay you can't beat it. It has no picnic table, no fires, no club house, and some views; it is an urban R.V. park. You probably aren't planning on spending a lot of time in your rv. You've come here for some specific reason and not to go Glamping.

With that mindset this place is excellent. The sites level up very easily. The bathrooms, showers, and laundry rooms were spotless and are cleaned daily. The showers were fully heated and had plenty of hot water. All the folks I met were extremely friendly and helpful. The staff was on the ball and very pleasant.

As previously mentioned the short term sites are on the bay side of the park and ours had a great view of the bay and the surrounding mountains.

We did not try the park wifi but my Verizion Mifi worked great. Getting in and out of the sites was a dream and there was plenty of room for coach and the the toad. The utilities provided clean 50 amp power, and simple sewer hook up. ( if you find it draining your tank a bit slow loosen the cap on top of the island). There's cable hook up but we spent so little time in the coach we didn't hook up to it. We paid a bit less than $73 for a 7 day stay. The daily rate is $85. The front part of the park is for long term residents and the sites are clean and not cluttered with all the units I observed in very good condition.

We will stay here next time we come to the Bay area. We camped at Trailer Villa RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here a lot and will come here whenever in the area.

Consistent quality of service & facilities.

A LOT of permanent rigs, that frankly are pretty sh__y. Wish they would flush some of that out.

The "new" section is pretty nice, and back by the marsh/bay.

Wish the sites were more level. We always have trouble with this, even though that is now the "norm".

The Wi-Fi is VERY weak back in the "new" section. Wish that would improve.

Front office is always helpful & pleasant.

Even though they are expensive, they are VERY conveniently located, and are our go-to when we are in the Bay Area. We camped at Trailer Villa RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 10 days to visit with family and attend a college graduation. Hotels in the area are $200 a night and up, so even at $70 the value is good. The park is very clean, the newer spaces in the back are completely paved and concrete so don't expect any natural beauty, but it IS good if it rains and there isn't any loose gravel. We had a long pull-through for a 45' rig towing a Jeep and were able to park both with a bit of room to spare. Surprisingly quiet given it's proximity to 101. Regarding what some have written about odd sewer connection--it isn't odd. They built risers for venting each sewer connection so the vent access is on top of the cement "step"--but the actual sewer connection is nestled at the base of the riser at ground level. The utility connections were excellent. We did not use them, but there's a $25 key deposit for restroom. It would be good if they gave some kind of handout for the sewer explanation for those who are confused by the configuration, and also for the laundry rooms. We went to do laundry this morning and were informed by a resident that folks reserve the machines on a white board in the laundry room. It is not clear that this is an issue here, and there was nothing said at the office. We camped at Trailer Villa RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Costco about 1-1/2 miles away, & a big farmer's market across the street from Costco. Safeway and Target close by. Excellent Latin restaurant about 2 miles away in Redwood City, "La Viga". Didn't use it, but found a dog boarding place--about $25 a day for doggie day care and $30 for boarding--a bargain for the Bay Area--Tyson's Kennels. Quite a few positive Yelp reviews.

With so few RV Parks in the Bay Area, this place isn't bad. We stay here every time we are in the area. On the other hand, I really wish there were more choices. On the positive side, Redwood City is halfway in between SFO and San Jose so you have lots of things to do within a 30 minute drive, so the location is good. The park is by the freeway, but you camp so far away you don't hear a thing. The overnight campers are put in the back of the park, near the bay so you get some views. You park on concrete pads with great utilities and it's very clean. the laundry rooms are great, with newer machines. On the bad side, It's in Redwood city so it's far from everything (yes, it's location is a blessing and a curse). It's in a depressing, industrial location. The campsites are crammed together. The internet is poor. There are a lot of full timers, but they have new RV's and new cars, so it's not like you are surrounded by transients. We camped at Trailer Villa RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park and area is mostly a very old industrial area. It backs up to the Bay Area sloughs filled with salt for mining. Locals say this area is safe but it looks like a very bad part of town. Original 1950s well worn park model homes still in the park and many trailers and motorhomes in various states of disrepair. The back 3 rows are recently renovated. We are long term so we had Comcast install cable TV and Internet since park does not provide TV and their Internet is slow. If I had children I would not stay here long term. The management will not resolve issues such as barking or aggressive dogs, residents drunk riding loud motorcycles and revving their motors at midnight. Places to stay in the area are very limited and traffic is the worst in the US. We are only here because it is 2 miles from current contract job and still takes 25 minutes in rush hour. Very dirty area if you keep windows open you will have to clean everything everyday. We camped at Trailer Villa RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tough to rate. Office staff is very friendly and mostly helpful. New section is clean and generally easy to get around in. Pet friendly is a big plus. Tenants are also friendly and helpful. The park has esay access to US101 and Stanford Hospital is an easy 5 miles away. Only frustration is the WiFi. They use Tengo internet and access is hard to figure out. One time its easy, next time you can spend hours and not get anywhere. I asked the office about the issue and they just looked at the lights on the equipment and said it was working. Frustrating being near the heart of Silicone Vally and have that kind of internet issues. Note: next campground we visited also used Tengo internet and we had no problems logging on. It was really hard for me to rate this park. The staff was super and very helpful when we ran into a problem. We only planned to stay a few nights, but when pulling out discovered our leaf springs were broken. That put us there several more days. They bathrooms were great; however, you have to pay a $25.00 key deposit, refundable at departure. We did not use the showers but they are right in the bathrooms - which are huge - and appeared to be very clean and nice. The spots are not large and there are few due to the amount of full timers there. They have the old part which is almost all full timers and the new part which has some space available for travelers. They have WiFi, but no cable. Very few amenities. The thing is - this is the only decent game in town and if you know anything about the San Fran Bay area, $60.00 per night is decent. The rate reflected is a week long stay rate. We would return here if we came back to the area, but due to the cost, will probably not drive this route again in our 5/w. Overall Rating:

It is difficult to rate a park that has two very distinct sections, an old trailer park and a new RV park, and such is the case at Trailer Villa. Like most urban RV parks (this is our 83rd) they are old and most often have long-term and somewhat dilapidated trailers. But this park has added a new and very attractive RV section in the back with large sites and immaculate private bath/shower facilities. We stayed in both, the old part gets a 3 the new part 9-10. It is in an industrial section but not far from very chic San Francisco suburbs and great restaurants, shops etc and a 1/2 from the city. The staff are WONDERFUL and let us borrow their chairs and tables for our party. IN summary it is the BEST place to stay in the south SF bay area IF you ask for the newer section in the back. It's way overpriced for what you get. Mostly long term residents. There isn't a pool. The best sites are in the back. Very little noise from Highway 101. Close to things. It would rate higher but for the price. We camped at Trailer Villa RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a convenient park for visiting in the South Bay area. As mentioned, the front section is for permanent residents and it has a nice paved section in the back of the park for overnight. It's expensive but is also located in a costly area with little competition. It also appears that there are some long term residents in this section. It is clean and maintained. The only drawback is the sewer hookup. I couldn't seal the hose because the hole is horizontal (coming out of a wall)and flush with the ground. Be prepared to use a donut. Not sure what to add to previous reviews except that it's surprisingly quiet given the proximity to Hwy 101. The sites in the "new section" have 50 amps, cement pads, and asphalt parking spots for tow vehicles and cost $64 per night. The sewer hookup is a little unusual, but all hookups are together and well positioned. Perfectly adequate for our 2-day stay in the San Francisco area, and preferable to other options apparently available. We camped at Trailer Villa RV Park in a Motorhome.

Would I stay here again? Absolutely! Although the front of the park is taken up by long term residents, the owners have added about 30 large brand new sites behind the original sites. Some are pull-through and the ones at the back of the park are back-ins. There is a brand new shower room (5 separate showers, 1 handicapped, 2 walk in in showers and two with showers and full tubs). Also in the building are 3 new washers and 2 dryers that all work perfectly and are a reasonable $1.25 was and $1.00 dry. There are also showers and laundry rooms else where in the park and they are clean and cared for. Long term (month or longer) gets a break on the cost. There are 3 different plans so check with the office, but it is about 1/2 the daily rate if you were to stay for a month. For dog owners there is a large area of grass to walk your dog by the front of the park, there is also a very small dirt area behind the rear laundry room. If you take a 20 minute car trip with your pups, there is a very nice off leash dog park right behind the Google campus at Shoreline Park in Mountainview. Also there is a nice off leash park at Seal Point, and for a little bit further drive you can take your dogs to the off leash park at Ft Funston and let them run on the beach. The people in the office and the maintenance people all take pride in their park and it shows. They could not be nicer or more helpful. The Wi-Fi could be improved, it is Tengonet. But I have recently bought a Virgin mobile 3G Wi-Fi hot spot that gives unlimited Wi-Fi for 50.00 a month and its reception was perfect. Kids are welcome but there is no pool or playground in the park. We camped at Trailer Villa RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for three days. The park is probably about as close as you'll get to San Francisco and is located in an industrial area. It was very quite. There are no restaurants or fast food establishments within walking distance. The park has an older residental section, and the new section in rear. There are both drive through and back in. Spots are close and concrete. There is a small pet area behind the restrooms but a nice large area near the office. The restrooms are new and very nice. I thought the rate was high, but it's the Bay area. No Good Sam discounts. We camped at Trailer Villa RV Park in a Motorhome.
