Overall Rating:

Large park with two separate camping loops. Lakeside loop is older (and slightly cheaper), with sites very close together on a dirt/gravel surface with tight, bumpy gravel interior roads. This loop is a mix of back-in and pull through (all "buddy" type) RV sites and tent camping sites. Cottonwood loop is for RVs only and spacious with FHU concrete sites and wide, paved interior roads that are easy to navigate (and is the best loop for big rigs). Sites here are a mix of back-in, pull through and pull ins. We stayed in site 216, a back-in which was VERY long and level. Park entrance is gated with code provided for after-hours access. Different code given for restrooms and laundry area. Newer bathhouse had two private handicapped bathrooms with toilet and shower (one out of order), a separate toilet area for each gender, and a separate shower area for each gender. All were cleaned daily. Laundry area had 5 washers and dryers ($1.00 per wash/dry) but required non-refundable tokens to use due to prior vandalism (and the park advises to keep everything locked up due to theft in the area). Park has a small splash pad (open Easter through Labor Day), 2 playgrounds, mini golf ($5 per person and the nicest we've ever seen), plus two stocked fishing lakes. Verizon service was good. No cable provided and only a handful of over the air channels. Park has a well-stocked store with gifts, snacks, ice, RV supplies and beer. They allow you to wash your RV at your site. Park does not allow mail/packages to be delivered. There are LOTS of ants here, so come prepared with spray and keep an eye on your jacks. Some noise from the nearby local airport and a train, but not bad. Free wifi offered but we didn't use. No restrictions on age of RVs here. No propane sold on site. Staff were friendly and made regular patrols through the campground. We loved this park and wouldn't hesitate to stay again! We camped at Rancho Jurupa Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Several grocery stores and Walmart within a few miles. Traffic around the area is terrible! Campgroundviews.com shows every campsite which we used to book our site. We purchased propane at a U-Haul dealer about 4 miles away, but the price was $3.42 per gallon. We also spent an afternoon at the San Manuel casino (which is HUGE!), about 30 minutes away.

This is a review for those looking to go here. First and foremost, let me state that I like this park and would return each and every time I go to this area. 1) Upon check in I was given a notice warning to secure everything when leaving the trailer/park for a period of time or during the overnight hours -to prevent theft. 2) There are four major animals that inhabit the area of the park, Wild pigs (scare easily, but tear up the grounds pretty good), Weasels, skunks and coyote's. We hear the coyotes a few mornings, and swathe results of visits from the pigs on two occasions during the week. 2) WIFI - the park does have free WIFI, BUT it is sketchy at best for an internet access. comes and goes constantly. 3) If you need to use the park shower facilities or the laundry, you MUST obtain non-refundable tokens from either the store or the entry kiosk during business hours.. That being said, the washers and dryers are actually pretty good. 4 tokens each ($1.00 each) - 4) ANTS !!!!!!!!!!!!! Be ready with your preferred method of preventing the little pests from entering your rig. I had stepped in/on an ant hill while connecting utilities and they really swarmed; I sprayed the crap out of them and the area and also put down some killer bait.. Had I known in advance I would have been better prepared and not had to go out and buy ant spray and bait. Okay, about the site itself, in the newer campground the sites are all concrete, close to level with a decent separation between sites. We had a pull thru (208) that was barely long enough for the trailer and truck, so I had to get creative with parking the truck at the site to keep it off the grass and out of the roadway. We camped at Rancho Jurupa Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

1) bring borax - comet for the ants 2) be prepared for OTA antenna adjustments (if you desire tv) 3) watch out for pigs, coyotes, skunks and weasel (smelled the skunks, heard the coyotes, never saw the weasels.)

Lovely park. Lots of grass and trees. There is a Lake View section that seems to be packed tightly. We were in the Cottonwood section that had huge sites with large lawns and cement pads. No cable. Supposedly there was WiFi but we could not get it to work. Pretty little lake. Apparently the sprinklers came on overnight—Fire ring was swamped, no way could wood burn there. Super nice check in. We camped at Rancho Jurupa Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We've been to this park several times but not for a couple of years. We were happy it's even better than we remembered. It's a large county run park located in an urban/suburban area. In addition to being a campground, it's a day use park with a splash pad, two small fishing lakes and a miniature golf course. Every vehicle pays a fee to enter. There is a line for RV'ers checking in that bypasses the day use line, so check in was a breeze. Our site was in the newer RV only Cottonwood section. The interior roads are wide. Our site was spacious, with a level concrete pad surrounded by grass. Some sites are grouped closer together than others but there is plenty of open space. There is an older section, open for all types of camping and mostly dirt, called Lakeside and is not nearly as nice. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We'll be back. We camped at Rancho Jurupa Park in a Motorhome.

Very well lit and nice wide paved roads and concrete pads, and tons of grass between RV spaces, and lots of fun wild life running around, like rabbits etc. My back in sight was more than enough for my 58 foot total length. Sight number 227. Even though this is a very nice RV park, the internet wifi was very spotty at best. It would go in and then out about every 10 minutes. Make sure and book to stay in the new section called the Cottonwood campground. The older section is all dirt and dusty and cramped and old. The new section had tons of grass between you and the next RV space. We camped at Rancho Jurupa Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here in a class A motorhome. The park has two sections, a newer very nice side with mostly grass, 50 amp, sewer and water on concrete slabs with table. The older section is dirt with water and unk amp electrical. We stayed in the nicer section, very clean and adequately manicured. It is a "county" park that includes amenities as water park for kids, frizby golf, and a kids putt putt golf. We enjoyed the stay. Local small plane airport nearby. We camped at Rancho Jurupa Park in a Motorhome.

We used Rancho Jurupa Park as our base of operations while my wife was working for Cal-Fire here in the Riverside area. This park appears as it has maybe been here for a number of years, but has recently undergone some upgrades and remodeling. There is a great convenience store with Mini-golf and water feature area where the kids can cool off in the summer time. There is a large fish pond here at the park which is stocked on Wednesdays. There are two rv areas, 'Lake view' and an outer area. The lake view sites have a view of the pond but are sandy sights, so you might drag in some sand into your rig. The outer area are concrete pad sites with newer pedestals. Dogs are welcome and there are no breed restrictions. We used this park also as a stopping point as we returned from Tucson Arizona to our home in Sacramento. We will definitely come here again. We camped at Rancho Jurupa Park in a Motorhome.

This is our 4th time here. Last month we were here for 2 weeks and they were remodeling the bathrooms and showers. Turned out beautiful. We find this area so close to downtown a great place to stay. Lots of small wild animals on the property and a nice small lake stocked with fish for family outings. The spaces are plentiful with picnic tables and fire rings to accommodate outside pleasures. We will always stay here in the future. We camped at Rancho Jurupa Park in a Motorhome.

December and first two weeks of January the Festival of Christmas lights in and around the Mission Hotel. There is a concert hall on Mission street that has different types of entertainment there. Lots of Curio shops in the area and good restaurants. Dog park a mile away but Rancho Jurupa has plenty of leg room for Fido to play.

We stayed here for 2 weeks, using it to explore the Los Angeles area. We booked on-line, which added an $8 reservation fee. On-line, we were able to see the sites, as well as being able to pick the site we wanted. When we arrived, we had to show proof of insurance and vehicle registrations. We found that the interior roads and sites are all paved, with some sites having a concrete pad, for the RV. We found that the site we picked was large enough to park the RV and 2 other vehicles, at least. We site we had was one of the longest and widest sites we have seen. The connections were easy to locate and no problems to connect. The antenna TV was mostly non-English channels, but the satellite TV worked well. AT&T cell phone and hotspots worked well. We like it so much that we have already booked another stay in March. We camped at Rancho Jurupa Park in a Motorhome.

If you plan on visiting the Los Angeles area, while here, you might look into investing in a Fast Trak transponder. We found that paying some of the tolls and being able to use the Express Lanes were very helpful and less stress when driving in the area.

I looooved this campground! They ask for your tow vehicle and trailer insurance and registration at the front gate, so be prepared. The grounds are kept so clean and manicured. There are always workers outside keeping up the park. They have a fire pit and picnic table at every site. Some larger sites have dirt and no grass, so check out the pictures on their website to book your choice. There is an 18 hole mini golf course, and a cool splash pad for the kids as well as 2 playgrounds. Clean showers and bathroom, a nature trail that you can ride your bike through. They also have a lake for fishing, and 6 cabin rentals for those that don't prefer tent or RV camping. I highly recommend this place! We camped at Rancho Jurupa Park in a Travel Trailer.

I was pleasantly surprised by this gem in an arid climate. We found our site to be level, lots of room and well maintained both with the grounds and the facilities. Our first visit to this park and I would gladly camp here again. We were in the Cottonwood Campground. Our only difficulty was in making a reservation. Never was able to do it through the website. Had to call in to reserve. We camped at Rancho Jurupa Park in a Travel Trailer.

Easter weekend & summers weekends are full of rowdy folks playing their music loud (& no one's at their site!) Very inconsiderate folks! Even tho the park says no more than 2 cars & 8 folks per site - lots of sites had 4 cars & about 20 people! These are people who don't understand camping is supposed to be relaxing & de-toxing not blaring hip hop music (with foul language near little kids). And where are the park rangers to monitor - no where in site. We stayed in site 243 away from the crowd & we could hear the loud music til 11:30-ish PM. Quiet hours start at 10 PM. This used to be a really nice park with min golf & mini water park, lake & lots of open spaces. Now it's a ghetto hang-out. Not sure we'll come back again. We camped at Rancho Jurupa Park in a Motorhome.

Absolutely one of the prettiest parks we have ever stayed in. Beautifully landscaped; trees dotting the park and wide open grassy areas. Wide asphalt interior roads and spacious sites with plenty of room between neighbors. Pull-thru site had plenty of room for 35' coach and tow without unhooking. Our site(207) was on the end with a big grassy area on one side. Was also satellite friendly. Used this as a stopover from Bakersfield to San Diego. Wished we could have stayed longer. A bit off the highway but well worth it. We camped at Rancho Jurupa Park in a Motorhome.
