Lots of space between camp sites. Most visitors stayed at least a few nights so not so much in and out activity which was nice. Lower level has well placed mature trees for good shading Delta breezes to cool off. Great view of river. Marina has small swimming area to dip. Office staff very helpful, accommodating and friendly, the type of people you always want to find at campgrounds/RV parks. Laundry on site (2 washers, 2 dryers). Wi-Fi spotty if far from marina office but it is free so sit yourself outside office on the deck to watch the sunset while you surf the net. Rate is unbeatable. $25 day is weekly rate. Convenient location to shopping for necessities (Nuggett food, Lowe’s, Target, Earth First). Lower level does not have sewer hook up. Four full bathrooms available, 3 keyed (pay $15 deposit), one available to EVERYONE so avoid that particular unit. Lower level entry a bit steep. Our site required two layers of levelers on one side. Most other sites used some kind of leveling adjustment as parking was on grass. Upper level in full sun and mostly permanent residents (some units very old). Ownership heavily waters during summer heat to cool down camp area. This created an ant invasion every watering. Some road noise from River Road but dies down at night time. We had extended stayed due to having business and family in the area. We would gladly return for shorter stays but no sewer hook up does gets old. There is dump station but you have to exit lower level, go down the road at least a mile to turn around, enter upper level camp area, then exit upper level, go down the road at least a mile to turn around around to come back to enter the lower level. Nice park you would never know its there. VERY close to downtown Sac- but far away. Check in is OK- Ft counter folks are kinda happy your there. Lots of shade/ weak wifi, but we have stayed here a few times, and keep coming back- Lots of shopping/food within a few miles. Old Sac, 10 min away. We will keep coming back. Fun to watch all the boat traffic on the river. We camped at Sherwood Harbor in a Motorhome.Undo

We stayed here twice: once on the way to and once on the way back during our trip, as an overnight place. The north/lower side of the site is excellent, RIGHT up against the water, lots of huge trees and shade. You are parking on grass. This side has water/electric only. The south or upper side of the park where the full hookups are, is not so great. Those spaces are super close together, trees block the view of the water, and at the far end, there's one or two fairly seedy permanent tenants with a dog. It's also hard to get in and out of the spaces at the very south end, as it gets narrow. The dump site frequently has a sprinkler running near it, soaking your car and RV, and the questionable full timers are near it. I would skip it and dump elsewhere. If you just need an overnight without full hookups, or have something big enough to go without dumping for a weekend, this is a great place as it cools down more in the evening than elsewhere in Sac, due to the proximity of the water. Just watch out for mosquitos at dusk. The spaces at the very north end are very private and surrounded by trees. The people in the office are friendly and cordial. I was able to receive good Wi-Fi from my trailer a few hundred feet from the office. The park is very quiet at night, no road noise as it is well off the highway on a river frontage road. I would give this park a 0, be sure to ask about their dog rules. When we were there they had Pit Bulls on the site and these dogs attacked a black lab and bit it's owner and the lab's owner. We left immediately and for this reason we would not camp there again. We camped at Sherwood Harbor in a Travel Trailer.Undo
Excellent campground on the Sacramento River. Close to all Old Sacramento. Sites are all
grass and large. Bring your own water if possible as its well water and has a strong smell of sulfer. (perfectly okay but it stinks) Owner and staff are very friendly and leave you alone. We camped at Sherwood Harbor in a Fifth Wheel.
