The only good thing to say about this park is its proximity to downtown. This was our 3rd and last visit. Over a 7 year period, the owner has not made one noticeable improvement. In fact, it has gotten worst. The park is not big rig friendly. This was our first visit with our 40' and we had to try 3 sites before we were able to squeeze in between 2 backins. When we extended our full slide out, we were inches from the coaches on both sides. Parking is a real problem for tows. There are several long term units that are disgusting. They do not follow the rules pertaining to nose, working on vehicles, junk and walking pets. We even saw a rat around one of the end sites that was littered with junk. If you get stuck in the back, there is a construction company across the fence with lots of noise and dust. The park rule is to walk your dog outside the park. The walk outside the park is so littered with dog poop, we would not walk our dogs along the sidewalk. We camped at Candlestick RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

To walk your dog, turn left out of the path and drive to the Candlestick Park. (1/2 mile on your left). Stay along the water around to the fishing pier. Nice walk. Or, turn right and drive to the city park on the left. (1/2 plus miles). Also at that spot, view the bus system. If you ride the cable car, there are 2 lines. Get the day pass and get on / off. You can ride both lines on the day pass.

On the up side, it's very close (a few miles) and about 30 minutes into SF. On the down side, sites are too close together (closer than any we have had in Key West), not long enough for a "big rig", all blacktop (no grass or shade). The place is right next to a construction site, right next to an abandoned park and right next to the defunct ball field. The price is outrageous for a place to park and sleep. And people live here. We camped at Candlestick RV Park in a Motorhome.

It is a blacktop park. No grass or trees and the spaces are very tight. You have all you can do to squeeze between two other campers. There is not enough room for slide outs. No tables or fire pits. When it rains the lots flooded. Very expensive for what you get. No cable but wifi when you could get it in. We camped at Candlestick RV Park in a Motorhome.

At this SF RV Park you are fifteen minutes from downtown SF. The price is high, the road to park is bumpy, the wifi, the utilities are good, the view is not terrific, the spaces are paved and tight, but if we wanted to be close to high traffic SF, this park would rate a five out of five. Location, Location, Location and will return! Definitely big rig friendly! We camped at Candlestick RV Park in a Motorhome.

To start, for the last two hours we have been trying to get the WiFi to work. So, there's that.

Next, it is just a parking lot. Which, I wouldn't mind if it wasn't costing me $96.00 to sleep behind where they have torn down the football field and are now doing work to build something else. Don't even get me started on road noise.

It costs so much, we are basically paying to sleep here. I won't have enough to spare for a bus, cab, lyft, you name it. Unfortunately it is labor day weekend and we had to stop and this was it. So no San Francisco sight seeing for us.

If you can, avoid this park. It is not, in any way, worth over $30. Maybe they will realize this one day. We camped at Candlestick RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park is very close to downtown. We stayed 5 days and found it to be OK. Noise in the morning is very loud from construction on the old Candlestick Park. The park is in a rundown part of town and the approaching street is not great. Good laundry facilities although expensive. Showers are old and mouldy. There is a separate TV room with table tennis, tv and PC with printer for guests use. There is also a basic shop in the office that offers VERY basic needs. There is a shuttle bus to downtown that works out to be very expensive if used everyday. We used Uber, which was a lot cheaper.Security guards posted at gate at night was both reassuring but also worrying. I don't think we would stay here again, probably try another San Fran park. This park is expensive for what it is. We camped at Candlestick RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great place to use as a base for visiting San Francisco. Like mose city RV Parks the spaces were close. The staff were very friendly and the place was immaculate. There is a little county park a couple of hundred yards away that is nice for walking and jogging. There is even a fishing pier there. We camped at Candlestick RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Yes, this is a parking lot. But it is a short drive to the city. You can take a nice walk down the road to a pretty park right by the water. Very pricey. We camped at Candlestick RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here before and thought we would give it another try because of its proximity to downtown. The CG has gotten worst since our last visit. The park is dirty and unkept. Although we had a confirmed reservation, for two days we had to park our 40 on a 30 foot site with orange cones around it. There are a lot of workers staying here who are working on the demolition of Candlestick Stadium. Pickup trucks almost outnumber the coaches and parking is out of control. There are some unsightly units (junk) that need to be removed. There is night security at the front gate. Unless some drastic changes are made, we will not stay here again. We camped at Candlestick RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great location. Price includes an extra $5 per person, per night for more than 2 people (including kids over 6 I think). This is our 2nd time staying here. This is city camping, not where you stay to lounge at the campsite. It is a parking lot with full hookups. RVs are packed in and I wouldn't go for a walk to explore the area (it does not appear to be nice or safe). That being said they have a security guard all night long. It is completely fenced in so I did not feel unsafe. The staff were very nice and the bathrooms were clean, but dated. There are other campgrounds, but they are similar in price. If you want to stay close to San Francisco this is a great place to stay! We camped at Candlestick RV Park in a Motorhome.

Yes it looks like a parking lot, but it has a great shuttle service to San Francisco. The shuttle goes several times in the morning and has several times for returning to the park. I have not seen the park dirty and the little green area's they have a well maintained and flowery. The spots could be a little bit wider indeed, but my actual time spend on the RV park was to sleep, shower, have breakfast and sleep again. So who cares about the wide of the space.

I visit here every year to visit San Francisco! We camped at Candlestick RV Park in a Motorhome.

Let's face it, it's in San Francisco and $1,100 monthly is not bad. Sites are Way too close. WiFi sketchy, no cable, local TV okay. Mostly full-timers/construction guys. Lot's of groups come in-and-out. AT&T 4G good. Roads in and about are BAD. Right across from Candlestick park being demolished - Lot's of noise. We camped at Candlestick RV Park in a Motorhome.

The place is most depressing RV Park we have ever stayed in. Cramped, dirty, and saying sites are snug is being very kind. People park without regard for others who may be arriving. We have 37 ft RV and we're lucky not to end up with dents somewhere. Staff must have been trained in customer service at a DMV office. Store your RV somewhere and stay in a motel, you'll be happier. Can't wait to check out. We camped at Candlestick RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Agree with other reviews that sites are close without parking for toad or picnic tables! However, it is San Francisco and you are ten minutes from downtown. It is quiet now but when construction starts on mall and condominiums, get could be noisy during the day. The paved road is rough to park and advise using Candlestick Park exit off 101 not Paul Ave. Management is very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again to visit San Francisco.
