My back in site 122 was not very level. I had to place 4" blocks under the front wheels to prevent them from raising off the ground. The wife had some issues in the ladies shower with getting a constant water temperature. Overall, this is a nice quiet campground, just far enough from the 101 that we had no issue with traffic noise. We were parked adjacent to the large grassy area and were awakened several times with the sprinklers spraying water on our rig. Don't leave anything outside you don't want to get wet. We camped at Betabel RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We found a great little Italian place in Gilroy, Mamma Mia's. It's located on Hwy 152 on the west side of Gilroy in a small strip mall. The food was delicious. Highly recommend stopping in for a bite.

Stopped for an overnight. Very nice RV park. Good check in lanes. Roads asphalt. Pads level cement. Disconnect toad at check in lanes. FHU's good condition. This RV park has many full-time people that come in for seasonal work. Call ahead for reservations. Park was 100% full at this writing. There are trees in the park and not all sites are sat friendly. The roads are wide with easy turns. Spaces are a bit tight but easy to place rig. Verizon and T-Mobile signals good. Space 110 had sat. access. Wifi was unusable. Park has cable 28 stations. Park has two large grass off leash dog areas, but they are not fenced. There is a Walmart about 8 miles away. Also, there is a Shell gas station one exit up with drive-through lanes for gassers. I would stay here just for an overnight stop. We camped at Betabel RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed here in a 43' motorhome. Spaces are a bit tight, but satisfactory. Space 96 & 97 are good pull thru locations. 97 will not allow good satellite reception, but it is a shady end site. Park is very full of long term RV residents, many with 2 cars. This causes the park to look shabby & dated since some rigs are pretty old & their sites are cluttered. The Garlic Lane restroom/shower is clean, but in need of renovating. We stayed here due to proximity to Carmel, Monterey, Big Sur. Even though the park is adjacent to Hwy101, road noise is minimal. Easy, safe entrance/exit to RV park. This park is gated. We camped at Betabel RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park but definitely not worth the price. This is one of the few parks were the long term area is better than the short term area. The long term sites are shaded and separated by landscaping. The short term is just an asphalt parking lot with painted lines. The park was clean and well maintained. The pull thru sites are at a steep downward angle making leveling an issue for me. There is highway noise but it was minimal at night. The WiFi was not usable. Would only stay there again as a second choice. We camped at Betabel RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

You do not want site 120. You will have people walking through at all hours even if you are sitting outside, as the stairs to the grassy area are directly at the end of site 120. You will have no privacy. People are either too lazy or lack common sense to walk around. I would not accept this site again, or 119 or 121 on either side due to foot traffic. We camped at Betabel RV Park in a Motorhome.

Clean but very crowded. Sites are very close with mostly long term stays. Only place to walk dogs was a large grass area in front of the office area. (Where some didn't pick-up after their pets!) We were fortunate and had an end site so we had more room than most. Part of the park was nothing but asphalt with painted lines to indicate spaces. Highway noise was minimal as the park sat below in a small valley. Friendly staff & quiet residents. We camped at Betabel RV Park in a Motorhome.

A very nice park, just off from Hwy 101, but you do not hear the traffic. A pool is offered, but we did not use it. People in the office were very nice, on the phone with reservations. Nice dog area. RVers were quiet, and kept to themselves. No partying was present. We camped at Betabel RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

If you find yourself in this general area then you should checkout this RV park. We highly recommend it, even though we're not big on the "rv park" setting with 100+ other RVs. It's very clean, very quiet, and the staff was very pleasant to deal with. Perhaps the best thing was that they were the only RV park in the area who didn't double and triple their rates for the Garlic Festival! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will stay here again. We camped at Betabel RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice stopping point to see Monterey and the area around it. We drove into Hollister and San Juan Bautista one day, another day to Gilroy another to Pebble Beach and another to the Monterey Aquarium. Nice grass area for dogs, although not fenced. Dogs can be walked around the park too. Cool temperatures and open windows were nice. The staff was very accommodating - trees blocked our DirecTV signal so they allowed us to move to another site in order to get our dish working. If you have children, there is nothing to entertain them except a basketball hoop up by the laundry, or the pool. We camped at Betabel RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Shopped in Gilroy - 6 miles away. There was a great little donut shop in Gilroy - Gilroy Donuts. Stopped at some of the cherry stands and got some great garlic seasoning at one of them.

A nice facility, with many long-term residents (well-maintained). We stayed in a pull-thru, which had some long-term and some transient like us. Relatively quiet, the pull-thru sites nicely landscaped. Angled sites so you weren't looking directly at your neighbor. Concrete pads, asphalt roads. Good laundry facility, utilities worked fine. Wifi was basically useless- occasionally worked, most of the time not at all. Good stoping point for a night or two. Good pet area. Would stay here again. We camped at Betabel RV Park in a Motorhome.

There appears to be a lot of long term RV's here. There is an area that looks like where they put the rest of us. It is all paved. The middle aisle has a lattice fence by the connections to separate it from the site next to it. It looks good. We were by the side so we just had the typical lines. It is nothing but a huge parking lot. We have two dogs so the huge park like area for dogs was great. WiFi was poor. Nothing to stop us for coming again. We camped at Betabel RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice park with back-in and pull-through sites. Ours was paved with trees/bushes between sites. Other area of park was just a paved lot with painted lines to mark confines of sites.

Lots of big rigs and toads so no problem getting into sites.

WiFi okay for email, etc.

Washrooms were at office/entrance to park and one washroom for each gender in the middle of the park. Outdoor pool was nice.

We booked for a week but had to leave 2 days earlier - no refund. We camped at Betabel RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

No cell reception, rude management. All they care is money. The park looks 'OK' but not nearly according to the reviews. Their pictures in the website are old, everything is dry now and no shade at most sites, it's mostly dirt. The only thing they do have is a nice lawn for dogs. The advertise WiFi but it's the worst we came across to, so we didn't bother with that. They are on Hwy 101 and it's very, very noisy, if you want to sleep well avoid this park. We camped at Betabel RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
