This is a more of a permanent resident park than for travelers. The owners were very accommodating and friendly as was the manager. But the available space(s) was very short (we have a 36' fifth wheel with a deck) and even backed up as far as we could go, without the deck open, we were still sticking out into the road a bit. The trash and recycling (which was next to us) was seriously overflowing and very smelly. The bathrooms were locked (they supplied a key for a deposit) and showers were coin operated. It was not clean and it was very cold - quite open to air flow. Only one of the three showers worked and two out of the three toilets were operational. On the plus side, it was a few miles out of town (Santa Cruz), wooded around the exterior and we were on the creek - so it was a fairly quiet setting (just some road traffic on the other side of the creek). Our hotspot (Verizon) did not work and we could not pick up any OTA TV stations by antenna. Another camper (about 30') came in the first night but left the next day. It is a difficult park to maneuver in with anything longer than about 30'. We camped at Santa Vida RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is different, up a very rural road and on the side of a mountain. It used to be a church camp before it was an RV park, aand they still have a chapel and do weddings, the sign says. It is mostly about 30 extended-say sites but also has just a few overnight openings, so call first. Some spaces have no sewer, ask first... but there is a dump station. It has extensive hiking trails (poorly maintained) that connect with a large public park adjacent. Very quiet, natural forested setting, nice interesting full timers and staff. Maintenance is a bit behind, the pool is disabled restrooms partially disabled, But this is so informal and friendly, a lovely setting, with easy 2 mile Santa Cruz town access. We stayed a week (7th day free) to rest and read and enjoy the great camp atmosphere. We camped at Santa Vida RV Park in a Motorhome.

The other reviews are quite old. Evidently this park has gone down hill since those reviews. The park was in bad shape with many old, old rigs, some of them abandoned, slowly rotting into the ground. There were also old abandoned cars covered with weeds and vines. With no wifi, no TV and no cell coverage the price was outrageous. The owners are very sweet and helpful. I would definitely not stay here again. We camped at Santa Vida RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This small, family owned park has a great location and lots of charm. Most of the campers there are long term but they have a few nice sites available for short term/overnight. Road within the park is rough (broken up pavement and/or gravel) and it is on a steep hill. Sites 7-10 are the easiest access and back up to a creek. We camped at Santa Vida RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We were a bit disappointed on arrival to find out that the pool that was advertised as "seasonal pool" on their website, was permanently closed. Overall, we had a good stay at this campground, but things seemed more than a bit run-down. There were A LOT of permanent residents here. Thankfully, we had a site that was near the entrance. Make sure if you are driving/pulling a "big-rig", that you park and walk up the hill to the office. The manager will let you know what spot you've been assigned prior to arrival, so that you can park your camper first before going to the office. That was helpful. This was a great location to stay at to make "day trips" to places like Monterey, Gilroy, and San Francisco. We camped at Santa Vida RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

So this will sound positive and negative, but we ended up staying for three nights so you can deduce from that what you will. So here's the deal, it's pretty with redwood trees all around and a creek running in front of the park. Our site wasn't quite level and had a leak underground but I didn't care about the mud. We had a nice little lawn and fire pit and the management was really nice. There were a few things that made the place kind of weird, like the "chapel" hidden up in the redwoods which also had a giant pentagram and 666 spray painted on a monolithic rock behind it, and there are a LOT of full-time residents here. The kind with sun-bleached lawn ornaments and tattered astroturf everywhere. It was a strange breed that lived there full time but we never had a problem. $35 was a little pricey for the place but still it was decent and worked for us and we never felt unsafe. Spiders and the like in the unheated bathrooms and coin operated timed showers but they did the trick. Solid 7. We camped at Santa Vida RV Park in a Motorhome.
