Very friendly staff. Grounds are kept nice and clean. Park isn't as nice as all KOA parks we have stayed at in the past. Very quiet RV park but next to the hwy, so you can hear traffic 24-7. Stayed in site #25, semi-shady spot afternoon and evening. Problem with sewer-line though, needs repaired. Bathroom okay but need updating. The showers need maintenance, hardware rusted. We may stay again, just to rest on way from LA to Redding. We camped at Los Banos West / I-5 KOA in a Motorhome.

This is an okay park especially for an overnight stop. Nice pool, nice covered barbecue area. The sites are all gravel with no landscaping between sites. Some of the utilities are placed in awkward locations. Cable was snowy and not worth watching. If they would landscape between sites, this would be a huge improvement. They also have basketball courts that are in disrepair and unused. They could turn this into pickleball courts. Fastest growing sport in USA and enjoyed by all ages, especially by the age group that has the time to do a lot of camping. We camped at Los Banos West / I-5 KOA in a Motorhome.

The permanent campers were scary and a big turnoff. They lived in squalor for the most part and looked poor and unkempt. I felt like was an intruder in their shantytown. There wasn't room to park my tow vehicle in my space so I had to get a parking pass from the office and park it on the nearby basketball court. We camped at Los Banos West / I-5 KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The park has some full time residents, many of which have pretty worn out campers. Some of their yards are full of junk. We arrived early and was charged an 'early fee' of $5 additional. We have not been charged an early fee at any other KOA we have stayed at over the years, so this seemed odd. This additional fee is not mentioned on the web site nor on the park brochure they hand out. The lot we were in had nice gravel and was level. We camped at Los Banos West / I-5 KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites were muddy and there were large puddles throughout. Several long term residents had messy sites with junky rigs and vehicles. The site across from us had a car parked in the road making it difficult for us to pull out plus an unleashed bully breed dog. The office staff was friendly but clearly rules are not being enforced here. We camped at Los Banos West / I-5 KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Typical parking lot type park. Large flat area with a few trees and gravel roads with pull-through sites in between. Decent space between sites, probably about 12 feet of lawn. Sites were also pretty short, just barely enough room for my 36 foot Class A and the car. Don't know if there were longer sites or not. Park was clean. Decent cable TV and good hookups. Didn't use the restrooms. We camped at Los Banos West / I-5 KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed here overnight on our drive from Oregon to San Diego. It was a typical KOA, all dirt, close together, and no shade. It was 108 when we arrived an there were warnings about the 50 amp service. The campground was fairly empty but the pool was crowded with families trying to cool off. We were lucky enough to have one of the spots that had a little bit of shade. We camped at Los Banos West / I-5 KOA in a Motorhome.

Long term renters in back. Low voltage. Not one of the RARE dates an ac is not needed, so we ran gen as needed. If my EMS trips more than once, the power is inadequate...Only for an overnight, and only if you do not need reliable power. We camped at Los Banos West / I-5 KOA in a Motorhome.

Only redeeming value was that they had an opening and the other camp in the area was not available. Dirty area with many permanent trailers with everything stored outside. Had a pull through site and the hookups were in the wrong area so had to have triple extensions to use. We camped at Los Banos West / I-5 KOA in a Motorhome.

Second time we've stayed because all the other RV Parks are full. Not many RV parks in this area. This time everything worked and we had a good overnight stay. This is a very busy area with numerous trucks stops nearby. We camped at Los Banos West / I-5 KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Standard KOA Journey. There's nothing really around so you need to unhook. The sites were barely long enough for us (45'+tow) but did fit. A bit expensive for what you get, but you get convenience which she needed. We camped at Los Banos West / I-5 KOA in a Motorhome.

We generally stay away from KOAs because they're usually overpriced and rundown. But there are few options along I-5 in this area so we gave it a try. Big mistake. This place was scary. We were given a site in the back with all the derelict trailers. Grass was overgrown and the only service to the "site" was a sewer hook-up. No water, power or cable dedicated to the site even though we paid for full hook-ups. We were able to share the utility post that was outside our neighbor's door. Our coax cable didn't reach but that was OK because we were told it didn't work very well anyway and we did get some stations over the air. The cable for the park seems to be strung between orange highway cones. The sites in the front of the park are somewhat better but we will plan better next time so we don't need to stay overnight in this area. We camped at Los Banos West / I-5 KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Not a bad park , usual KOA. No discounts but clean facilities. The best thing about this park is its far enough from the hiway. Nice and quiet. Stayed one night and we would return when in the area. We camped at Los Banos West / I-5 KOA in a Travel Trailer.

As a KOA this park is bare minimum but for an overnight stop it is adequate with very clean restrooms. Gravel roads and sites seriously need new gravel. There were a lot of mud puddles in January. Lighting for icamp roads and sites is minimal. Fenced dog area is green and spacious but too wet to use on our January day. Store in office well stocked but closed at 5. As others have written, Andersen's Pea Soup restaurant, two truck stops with buffet restaurants, fast food restaurants and gas stations are from 0 to 3 miles away. Very mediocre park, a disgrace to the KOA name. Can you imagine winter time, around forty degrees, and the bathrooms/showers weren't heated? In fact, they kept propping the bathroom doors open. Only stay here if you are desperate!. We camped at Los Banos West / I-5 KOA in a Travel Trailer.
