Beautiful park nicely situated near many LA attractions. Sites were well-spaced and clean. The campground was quiet during the evenings. We appreciated the free laundry and ice. We didn't use the bathrooms, but they appeared clean and heard no complaints. There is a nice walking path near the campground. If you carry firearms, tell the gate guard, and they will coordinate with the armory to store your weapon and ammo upon entry. It will need to be stored in a California-approved locked gun box, of which there are many that comply. If not CA-approved, they may not store the weapon. Only 30 minutes from Disneyland, and close numerous beaches, including Sunset, Huntington, and Seal. Would definitely stay here again! We camped at Seabreeze RV Resort (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Reagan Presidential Library is only 1.5 hrs away, and Nixon's Presidential is only 40 minutes away. Both were fascinating. For our family, it was cheaper to pay for the annual family pass then to pay for both libraries. It will get you into most presidential libraries for free that year, as well. Other standard LA tourists attractions are all within reach: Hollywood Walk of Fame, Disneyland, Mission San Juan Capistrano, Gruman's Chinese Theater, etc.

Very quiet park with green space beside each space. The concrete pad was pretty large and there was a picnic table to enjoy outside activities. The showers were clean. Laundry washer and dryers were free. It was a nice place, close to the Disney Park and felt safe. We camped at Seabreeze RV Resort (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Outstanding FamCamp. Location doesn't have very many amenities but for the price in this location it we worth it. The best managed FamCamps I have stayed in to-date. Clean restrooms. Spacious lots with sunny/open exposures. Site surface was a concrete pad featuring a picnic table. We camped at Seabreeze RV Resort (Military FamCamp) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

If you pull into a site facing SE, be aware that there is about a 1-1.5 degree slant so the front tires of your motor home may raise up into the air. I recommend doubling checking levelness before committing to a site.

We initially intended to stay here a few nights while seeing LA and then move north to Travis AFB. When we couldn't get in at Travis or anywhere else near San Francisco, we asked if we could extend our stay here. Fortunately there was availability. Like everything else in the area, the sites are expensive, especially considering the limited amenities. However, the park is in good shape, and free laundry is a great benefit! We used the RV wash on the way in. $2 got us 4 minutes of time. Just like self-serve car washes, be careful to listen for the beeps announcing the last minute. If you get there in time you can extend 2 minutes for another dollar. If you miss it, you need to put in 2 more dollars for another 4 minutes. The bay was slightly too short to wash both ends of the coach. We elected to wash the front and not pull forward to wash the end cap. The sites are all clean and well-maintained. The kids enjoyed playing at the playground almost every day and the beach a few times. We took advantage of the ITT office to obtain discounted admission for Medieval Times, Legoland, and the Pirate Dinner. We haven't been to the small shoppette and really miss having a gas station on base. Although prices are usually similar, in our experience bases have been easier to navigate with a 36' MH and toad. I need to scout a big rig friendly place to fill up. If we have enough gas we might wait until we're north of the LA area to stop. Overall this was a good place to stay and visit the LA area. We'd come back again if passing through. We camped at Seabreeze RV Resort (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Package delivery worked great when UPS/FedEx were involved. However, Amazon uses Ontrac in this area. They aren't familiar with the base and don't have access. We had to drive 30+ minutes to retrieve our package. We were given the gate schedule: Westminster M-F 0530-1730, Main all other times. However, during our stay they didn't always follow the schedule. Before turning right out of the park with your big rig, make sure you don't see the bollards in front of the main gate.

Excellent campground with level concrete 50'x20' sites. Adjacent concrete site for your vehicle. FHU, free cable and wi-fi, picnic table, nice playground, free laundry, plenty of room to walk the dog or ride your bike, beach on base just down the road from the RV park. Great location to visit Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, or any of the LA tourist sites. Close to the Queen Mary, Nixon Library and many beaches. Small exchange on base. Great staff and super clean. The laundry is free and grounds are level and well kept, but there are no trees, playground, or beach. We left for 1 night to stay with family and came back to a massive ant infestation. The old traps in the lawn should have been a clue. We had ants coming up each jack and were all throughout the camper. We saw several others folks spraying and sprinkling ant powder. The RV wash was very convenient and reasonably priced. The Wi-Fi was finicky. We camped at Seabreeze RV Resort (Military FamCamp) in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful park. Very well kept. We arrived on a Sunday and the "night host" was very friendly and helpful. There did seem to be some long term sites, but all were well kept. Quiet and convenient. The WIFI appeared to be slow at times, and for some reason would lose connection around 1700 everyday. It would come back on after a time. Did not pursue the problem. The cable did not work, but was able to get all of the local channels on our antenna to supplement our satellite. We will stay here again. Overall Rating:

GREAT parking level sites new CLEAN updated showers with PRIVACY DOOR not just a curtain! However the sinks are a pain because they are motion activated making shaving a challenge as you keep having to wave under spigot to get water. Located near the marshes and has wildlife galore we saw several endangered blue herons! Lots of level and super wide walking trails. Sites are nice and all hookups great lots of pull thrus and you can stay extended times if you ask. However all the good being said their ARE quite a few slobs with even recliners outside their RVs. Lots of debris and clutter. The check in was SO nice and FRIENDLY and helpful and SAID they were not allowing long termers to JUNK up their areas they DO! Their WIFI is slow- and you get bumped off a lot. They are a "GO" new internet trial which is what the military is TRYING out to see if it works well. The idea is to have just one GO account and you can log into your online account at ANY mil installation- GREAT idea but falls short of impressing us. Slow and continually we were knocked off by the other three wifi nets available which were also very slow. We never were able to connect well with our hand held phones. The smog is BAD and we were here in winter. Nothing to be done about it and not the parks fault...but if you have any breathing difficulty this is like ALL of L.A. area SMOGGY and congested. Lastly you MUST leave the base; no commissary or decent exchange and the little mini mart is GOUGING the poor sailors and marines having to use it by having OVER inflated prices! Shame on the CO for allowing this. Get groceries prior to camping here- nothing to DO, no bowling alley but gym has nice equipment...limited hours open. Laundry clean and nice and FREE which blew us away! They also have limited hours. All showers and laundry have codes so nice and safe. There IS a nice playground nearby but no one was using it. NICE tennis courts too but again no one using it. It IS smack dab in the middle of a weapons base so not a lot of pretty to look at. The small beach was okay, you have to drive to it. It has a café but was closed we think cause it was winter. Beach has OUTDOOR showers and restrooms. Overall okay but have to use 405 freeway to get to it- which is fine. Near Disneyland only about a 40 min drive on freeway- enough to compensate for lousy wifi. Only 30 a night which is about 1/2 of price for parks near Disneyland. Also near the USS IOWA only about 15 miles from that and it is open yr round. We wouldn't stay again as higher price doesn't justify the areas lack of things to be able to get to- and the wifi signal is lousy-

but then WHAT bases DO have decent WIFI? Come on bases move to the 21st century and get some contracts for DECENT high powered wifi! We camped at Seabreeze RV Resort (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

I had a really hard time deciding between 9 and 10. This is a terrific park! It's attractive and well-maintained. They have an RV Wash on the property. Eight to ten washers and dryers, and yes, they are FREE. The location is terrific, less than half an hour from Disney. A pool would be a nice touch; that would have clinched the 10 for me. The station has it's own small harbor and beach front which you can go down to when they don't have a ship anchored. You can't swim, but we got our feet wet. A few hundred yards on the other side of the fence, we were able to swim. Lots of rules, just read them all, they're lengthy, but easy enough to comply with. A little more expensive than we're used to in the midwest, but overall a really great experience. We camped at Seabreeze RV Resort (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Very large lots. Excellent campground. Well maintained. Free laundry. The staff was very courteous & helpful. The ITT office shares the building with the campground office. The RV/car wash was very nice. Someone put a lot of thought into this park. We loved it & will probably return for at least a one month stint. There are coyotes on the base that were introduced to keep down the squirrel, rabbit & raccoon population. We saw one during the day trotting alongside the road near the park. We were informed not to let our dog stay outside on a leash as he might be a target. Great access in & off base. We camped at Seabreeze RV Resort (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Short or long stay...if you can get a space in this park, you will love it. Nice and quiet. Had the best camp hosts, especially our good neighbor. He worked hard to make sure all was well with everyone. We stayed there from July 2012 to January 2013. Great place with good access to the VA for medical services. Made some great friends while there. Found a great church close by: Cornerstone Church (nondenominational), 1000 Studebaker Road, Long Beach, CA. Look forward to returning in the fall (we have a son in the local area)! We camped at Seabreeze RV Resort (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.
