Great place to stay. Nice biking/walking area. The laundry facilities were very clean but only 2 washers & 2 dryers. More like a channel than a river with big tankers coming in. We camped at RiverPoint Landing Marina Resort in a Motorhome.

It was very quiet when we were there. Neighbors caught a few fish behind their RV. You need a car to get anywhere. We would stay again if we were in the area.

Locating the park was a little confusing. We suggest: After turning onto Buckley Cove, stay on it. At the toll booth, tell them you are going to Riverpoint and they will open the gate. Continue until you reach a "T" in the road. Go right and then you will see a sign for Riverpoint. It's in a marina and the office is in the blue steel building to your right when you turn in. When you register, you'll be given a gate code for after hours. Only sites 7, 8, 9, 15, 16, 25 & 26 are 50 amp. 32 sites total, most are on the river. Sites are short but tow parking is available on the site and next to the rig or across from it. Staff was nice. We camped at RiverPoint Landing Marina Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Based on reviews here, we tried Dave Wong's restaurant in Stockton. The food and service were great. Portions were large enough for two, so we have enough leftover for dinner a 2nd night. Note: the Deli is on one side, the restaurant is on the other. There are plenty of other fast food eateries in the area.

Back-in site on the river, gravel with an imitation-turf pad and picnic table. WiFi worked good, no cable TV, but you can get lots of channels from the antenna. Some sites have 30amp, others with 50amp, none with sewer, but there is a dump station. Sherriff's Office is located in the RV park. Quiet at night. Restrooms and showers were clean. Marina with small store is located about 1/8-mile from RV entrance. Three of us were fishing, but no luck. We camped at RiverPoint Landing Marina Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Manager was extremely nice. Park is beautiful. Felt safe with it being gated. Very quiet during the week, weekends some of the boats were loud. Just wished they had sewer hookup. We travel for work and this park did not have a monthly rate so being charged daily made it very pricey. We camped at RiverPoint Landing Marina Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Park is very unique as it is on a the San Juaquin River with large ships coming by almost daily. The club room is extremely small for groups but the patio area is nice with tables and umbrellas when the weather is nice. The whole Marina is spotless. I would rate this park a 10 but the pads are rock and there are no sewer hook-ups. There are three types of spots with different prices. There are (1)Premium river front spots with 30 amp and (2)Deluxe spots with 50 amp and very few (3)Standard. Make sure you check the map before you reserve a spot and get what you want and pay attention to their cancellation policy. Also, the park is very secure with fencing and gates exposed to the public. We look forward to another visit. We camped at RiverPoint Landing Marina Resort in a Motorhome.

We were in a 35 ft fifth wheel and backed in right to the Stockton deep water channel. Interesting place to stay if you like bass boats, sail boats, PWC, and cruisers, they all came by. Some folks were fishing, and there was a good club house. All the facilities were good, including WiFi, no cable or sewer hook ups, but good dump facilities on way out or in. Space a little tight and on gravel, place very secure with locked gate, nice parks. Very good stay, although a little pricey. I would stay again. We camped at RiverPoint Landing Marina Resort in a Travel Trailer.

With few choices that appealed to us in the Stockton area, I based our selection on the experiences of other rv'ers. WOW! We drove through the beautiful neighborhoods of N. Stockton and arrived at our gated RV park. Being fall, there were not many campers at the park. We were greeted by the friendly young woman at the check-in desk. Since we were only staying one night en route to our destination, she moved us to a more convenient and accessible site near the front gate (#15). Being novice rv'ers, I asked the young man, who worked at the park, if he could assist us in backing in to our site. Well, he went beyond the call and actually parked our rig for us. Talk about a low-stress arrival! Our site was wonderful with so many interesting things to view: fishermen, a giant freighter, sailboats, jumping fish, amazing sunset, early-morning fog, changing fall colors in the trees, etc. The restrooms at RiverPoint Landing are clean and well-maintained. There is a nice patio outside with tables and a book exchange area in the common room. On the other side of the park, you find the boats....all snug in their slips. There is plenty to see walking around this park and marina. We will definitely stay here again if the opportunity presents itself. Be aware that there are no restaurants within walking distance of the RV park. But to be honest, who would want to leave their trailer and the beautiful view? BBQ "at home" and sit back and relax! We camped at RiverPoint Landing Marina Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

This RV park is a gem but is not close to anything within walking distance. Save yourself the stress of going into town and just bbq on site and enjoy the amazing river views! There is a lot to see going on on the San Joaquin River. We saw amazing birds, huge freighters, sailboats and the most amazing sunsets.

Overall Rating:

Reasonably clean RV park with waterfront sites along the river. Some sites with nice shade trees, others without. The reasons we downgraded the park are: No sewer hook-ups, no cable, no pool and all of the 50 amp sites were in locations without shade trees; so you get 50 amp service or shade, not both. Our satellite antenna worked fine outside the front of our RV site. The sites are wide enough for both your rig and your tow vehicle, side by side. The wooden tables in each site are in poor condition and need some repair, at least a good scrubbing and a coat of paint. The honey wagon man comes on Thursdays only ($15.00), so plan accordingly if you stay for a while. The good news is, he pumps the RVs first starting around 9 AM, so you can get the service done and have the rest of the day to plan your activities. We rented a covered slip to keep our boat in, which was a very short walk from our RV site which was very nice. There is a large open field next to the RV sites to park your boat trailer, which is free. The boat launch is right next door to the RV park and costs $9.25 with the senior discount. We enjoyed our stay and plan on returning, but we understand that this is a popular weekend destination and if you plan to stay over a weekend, reservations might be difficult to obtain. We camped at RiverPoint Landing Marina Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Short detour from I-5 but worth it. This is a combo RV park and marina on the San Joaquin River. Very nice, very quiet with excellent walking path along the levee. Good overnight place transiting this section of CA. We camped at RiverPoint Landing Marina Resort in a Motorhome.

For walking path, you have to first leave park and pick it up just past yacht club on the right. A revolving steel gate.

Expensive for what it is. Wi-Fi worked well, great river view, quiet. No sewer, no cable. Sites away from office are untidy. The restrooms older but tidy and clean. Park is also a storage facility and marina. Had to disconnect auto hauler to fit site but this was not a problem. We camped at RiverPoint Landing Marina Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a very well maintained resort located in the marina, however no sites have full hookups. Staff was friendly at check in, and helpful when we had to move to another site. Roads are paved, and the pads are gravel, nice and wide, and long enough for our Motorhome, some leveling was required. We pulled straight into a wonderful water front view. Big rig access was good. Quiet with plenty of space around the RV for the towed and a picnic table, some sites have shade trees, others do not. Bathrooms and laundry were clean and well equipped. The park is very secure with a security gate 24/7 and is patrolled at night. Lots of places to walk your pet and pick up bags too. WiFi and cell were good. All the major stores and restaurants are close by. We would stay here again, it was fascinating watching the small boats and huge ships in the deep water channel of the Delta.   We camped at RiverPoint Landing Marina Resort in a Motorhome.

Very clean nice park. Would be "nice" to have sewer & cable, but the view trumps the problem. You can't go wrong with the river out your door. Very secure, kind of level sites- bring extension cords so you can nose in for the best view. Very nice on check in. Stay a few days and save money. Would stay here again. Pretty tight quarters but such a lovely spot right on the river. Landscaping top notch. Drive to the park/marina is through such a nice neighborhood. In town to visit friends so we didn't spend much time at the park. But we'd use it again. We camped at RiverPoint Landing Marina Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
