We stayed there 14 days. The price reflects the 14 days including the PassPort America Discount. Very clean park. The bathrooms are a little dated but clean. If the park is not crowded then almost all sites have a view of the lake. There was rain this year so while the water level is way down it is still better than last year. Unless you are a fisherman there is not much to do there.
The park is very clean and well maintained but there is a price for that. Almost every morning around 9am while we were there the maintenance worker would start his blower and clean the sites. We were in one of the double sites which was nice and level.
The laundry is $2 wash and $2 dry but only cold water. The store is nice but very expensive. The staff is very friendly. We made the mistake of paying in advance. We wanted to leave early but they would not refund the difference. We stayed there in a 5th wheel and would definitely stay there again if in the area. We camped at Eagle Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

An excellent park; but first of all, do NOT take Eagle Lake Road from Susanville - it's narrow, winding, and steep. Take 139 from Susanville and the North entrance to Eagle Lake Road, drive to Spaulding street (which becomes Lake View Road) all the way to the end, turn right and go to the park. The park has 50+ RV sites, a few cabins, full hookups, laundry, restrooms with showers, recycling bins, dump station, gasoline ($4.80/gallon today!), propane, and a small store in the office. A very nice setting of large pine trees, with a view of Eagle Lake - which has been receeding, but not as bad as some other area lakes. Not crowded at all and very quiet with friendly owners and staff. I'd come back here in a heartbeat. We camped at Eagle Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Fishing is said to be good here, though I'm not a fisherman. Isolated area, so mostly just relaxing, catching up on laundry, walking, etc.

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Unfortunately, Eagle Lake is suffering from the drought like some many other California lakes. This RV park is on the west side of the lake a few miles off Highway 139. If you go there, come around the north side of the lake particularly if you are towing. The trip up from the south on the A1 road can be difficult. Also, beware that some GPS systems will direct you to a closed back entrance. Call for directions.

Most sites are shaded with full hookups, 30amp electrical service. Free Wi-Fi was workable and cable TV service was weak. Excellent service from those we encountered. Only 4 or 5 others in the park when we were there so it was quiet. They also rent cabins.

Passport America park. PA rate was $19.50. We camped at Eagle Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a bit out of the way but the price was good and we needed a break. Had a good view of the lake. Lots of pine trees and needles this time of year. Staff friendly, hook ups easy and water quality was good. If you like to fish the lake is close by but we have no idea what fish are in the lake. View is good We camped at Eagle Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Loved this park. Just took it by chance when we saw that they had paved streets and paved sites. A few sites are out of the trees where we could get dish TV. They had cable, but it was limited. People are very nice. Our price was Passport America. We ended up staying three nights. If going to this park do not follow GPS. Go in off 139 at Eagle Lake Rd to, I think it was Stoddard, and drive to the end and turn right. The west side of the lake is pretty but quite windy. Nice for a day ride. Would and will stay here again. Nice view of this the second largest natural lake in California, and known for rainbow trout. We camped at Eagle Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

All i have to say is the campground was very clean and nice. However the drive from Susanvile to the campground is very FAR about 40 miles or so. Very COLD in the mornings so bring an extra blanket. Overall very nice. We camped at Eagle Lake RV Park in a Tent.

If you like to fish, this is the place for you! It's quite secluded and well off the beaten path. The park is well-maintained and it is very apparent the owners take care of the park. They are in the process of upgrading many of the larger sites to 50 amp. It was beautiful, quiet and peaceful. Four deer wandered wherever they wanted, including through our site: wonderful! Although that did drive our black lab crazy! Staff was friendly and helpful. We camped at Eagle Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park is way out there by Eagle Lake, not in Susanville. Park is clean, and stall is friendly. The squirrels are fun to watch; they keep you entertained! Great fishing location. If want peace and quiet this is the place! It is serene. We camped at Eagle Lake RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Friendly staff. View of Eagle Lake. Area caters to the fishermen who come from all over. Since we were there only for two days, ended up in small, narrow site. Good thing we don't have slides on our trailer. We were down near the long term that had kids and barking dogs. If we come this way again, would consider staying again. We stayed on Passport America rates. We camped at Eagle Lake RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
