Nice campground. Manager is very friendly and diligent. Office staff is friendly and helpful. Shady spots and next to the river. Only reason for a 9 rating rather than 10 is that they could use a load of gravel on their roads to help reduce the dust. We would stay there again if we were in the area. Restaurants and groceries nearby. We camped at Sequoia Campground & Lodge (formerly Kaweah Park Resort) in a Motorhome.

We stayed in #27 for a week in a 35' motorhome with a tow vehicle. We are self contained so cannot comment on restrooms. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay again. Pros - - Very nice management, helpful, hard working and accomodating - Very convenient to Sequoia National Park - 5ish miles to entrance - Verizon internet and cell service strong - Very quiet except for the river even though right off main road. Never heard traffic as the campground is by the river so all you hear are the birds and the river. - Full hookups and cable with more than a few stations. Good selection. - Our site was very level and had new fire ring and was clean - Our weekly rate seemed very reasonable price for the amenities - Beautiful trees all throughout the campground and many many birds. Cons - - Tiny laundry room with 2 tiny working washers and dryers (1 set was broken) We camped at Sequoia Campground & Lodge (formerly Kaweah Park Resort) in a Motorhome.

This park is a hidden gem! Rather small, includes cabins and tent sites. River runs right along park. Beautiful scenery. Our site was a pull in that looked over the river. Pool is nice but cold right now. Laundry room needs some attention. Camp hosts are great - personable and committed to making our stay pleasant. They are working hard to bring this campground back to life. We camped at Sequoia Campground & Lodge (formerly Kaweah Park Resort) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Haven't updated the entrance sign yet. We missed the entrance and had to pull in across the street to turn around. Very close to National Park entrance. A few restaurants and small market close by.

We stayed in the campground for 3 nights. We have stayed here before and it was good, but I believe it has gone downhill. Thru grapevine, it is under new management and is just not the same! First of all, I tried calling down there after I made my reservations to ask couple small questions and never got a returned call. There is no park supervision, people were just packed in the pool area there. Where people getting up early in the morning and setting up canopies along side the river and leaving no room for other people to enjoy campsites. They had big boulders in each spot which is nice only if you could see them there. Maintenance is so bad, weeds were covering the whole boulder. It's just not the same it use to be back in the day!! We will not be returning back to this campground. We camped at Sequoia Campground & Lodge (formerly Kaweah Park Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We loved this park and will return again. Our site was a pull straight in site facing the river with the constant sounds of water rushing by. It was roomy enough for our 37' rig with four slides and the toad parked behind it. We had the grassy park area on one side of us with large tree's - which was nice. Families / kids played during the day. That area has a small beach. The park was pretty good sized and quite full, but was quiet at night. We had a picnic table but no fire ring. I think we could have requested one be delivered, but we didn't need one so it was not a big deal. We spent our evenings sitting in our chairs up on the bank watching the river flow. It was spectacular. The approach was easy to access, however we almost didn't see the sign to turn in off the road. We hooked up the tow vehicle just outside the park gate as the turns getting out were tighter than the turns getting in. Nice sized pool area. They offer WiFi and cable TV. BUT! The WiFi was literally nonexistent. If that's important to you, it will be a problem. We had no WiFi and no phone service at all (Sprint). It was inconvenient but we loved the site so much it didn't matter for a few days. Our front window faced the trees and river. We camped at Sequoia Campground & Lodge (formerly Kaweah Park Resort) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Very close to Sequoia - one of California's greatest sites. We rented a small boat for an afternoon on Lake Kaweah. That was beautiful. We swam in the lake; it was warm. The river at the park was a fun place to cool off too but was very cold. We bought some snacks from the little store across the street from the park - everything was stale. Not so good. If you go to the lake marina they have a small store and snack bar.

Great little gem right outside Sequoia national park. Park is well maintained and had everything you could want. Was pleasantly surprised by cable TV and great WiFi. Dirt parking and not much grass in each site but lots of public places and a beach right on the river. We'd stay here again. Sequoia national park is 10 minutes away and Kings Canyon National Park is also close. There is diesel in town at the chevron so don't turn around and head back west for gas.

The location of this park is excellent if you want an RV park with full hookups that is a reasonable distance to Sequoia. Our's was a pull-in site facing forward towards the river, which was really nice. That was about the only thing nice about this park. The WiFi almost worked. We had to go near the office to get a signal that would stick. The restrooms really need updating. They were sort-of clean but not very well. I didn't use the showers but they were coin op. The toilet stalls were too small and the toilet took up most of the space, leaving very little room to move. Fortunately the doors opened out so you could leave the door open until you got seated. It was early in the season and most of the tent sites were empty but it looked like the trash was not cleaned out of the fire pits from last season. The laundry facility was OK with stack able washer and dryer with decent capacity. The wash and dry cost was higher than many other places. I'm not sure if I would stay there again. The value just wasn't right. We camped at Sequoia Campground & Lodge (formerly Kaweah Park Resort) in a Motorhome.

This park is near the entrance to Sequoia National Park. The south entrance is very windy hairpin curves most of the way. Be prepared for a long ride to get to the visitor centers. This park is very wooded and on the river. It is not really an rv park and the sites are crowded and difficult to get in. There aren't many pull throughs and the sites have rocks and trees on both sides. They do water during the night so it's wet on the sites in the morning. Weekends are very busy with a whole area of tent campers. TV okay and wifi slow. Staff was friendly. We camped here in a fifth wheel and if visiting the park would camp here again. Very beautiful clean park, with the river and trees. Convenient to Sequoia Park. Sites are close together an,d people were not cleaning up after their dogs. Only problem was the last night here: the park staff approved of a party in an empty camping site with loud music. It went on for 3 1/2 hours that ended up going a little past the quiet time. Not a good situation with campers in such close quarters. We camped at Sequoia Campground & Lodge (formerly Kaweah Park Resort) in a Motorhome.

We stayed here three nights to visit Sequoia National Park. We picked a site facing the river to hear the water rushing by on it's way to where three rivers converge in the campground. We had full hookups and cable. The WiFi was slow but acceptable. AT&T cell strength is fine. There is grass between the spots. We appreciated the huge Sycamore tree on our site. A hardware store and small grocery store are down the street. We were happy with our choice and would stay here again. Our site was a pull in, facing a branch of the Kaweah River. Very picturesque park with lots of big trees and grass. The power available was both 30 and 50 amp, water and sewer were adequate. Wi-Fi was barely above dial-up speed - very poor I would have given a higher rating if it was better. No cell service from Verizon. The site are close together, and level. They are angled so I didn't mind the tight quarters. I would stay here again if we were in the area to visit Sequoia NP. No discounts on the rate, which seemed high. Welcome to California. Nice location near the bottom entrance to Sequoia National Park with easy walking distance to beach and river. Only giving a 6 on rating due to having rather muddy campsites in morning. They water the grass near sites every early morning, so it was muddy in some spots. Bathroom stalls are small and floor had muddy spots on it. Showers you have to pay for, and needed a deposit for key to gate for pool (returned when you finished). At least the beach/river access was free. Have a website: but it would be nice if you could make your reservations online too. We camped at Sequoia Campground & Lodge (formerly Kaweah Park Resort) in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

I called a few days early to see about availability and the Staff was very helpful. No tents as it was November. Only 6-8 Trailers/RVs in park so it was peaceful. Good hookups. Wireless worked if the office was in "line of sight." Great shady spots so our coach with the cats was kept cool as it was in the 80s during our 5 night stay. Good market in town and nice local restaurants. Easy check in. Pool was closed as it was after season. River views were lovely and peaceful. We would stay here again. We camped at Sequoia Campground & Lodge (formerly Kaweah Park Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.
