This park is a Gem! Entrance into this park from the north - you stop at the agriculture inspection station and then almost immediately turn left down a paved driveway into the park. We pull a 43 ft. fifth wheel with a long bed F350 dually pickup and navigating around the small park was fine. Note: Park is 30 AMP only! And very few sites are big enough for big rigs so make your reservations as early as possible. Most of the RVers in the park have been going to this park for 35 years so it is like one big family. And visitors are made to feel very welcome. The owners are very nice, as is the maintenance men - all three go out of their way to welcome you and make you feel at home. They have a small store with RV essentials and basics like TP, paper plates and towels! There's a store a couple of blocks north at the Topaz Lodge and Casino if you need more than that. Summer is usually quite full, so make reservations in advance. Lots of tall trees for shade and incredible views of Topaz Lake from most sites, The parking area is dirt, so be prepared - this is high desert, you know. The location is great for water sports. Every site has a picnic table. They do not allow any campfires at all. Very nice, quiet park at night. Not a loud party scene at all. Quiet hours are 8 pm to 8 am. Dogs are very welcome. There's a beach to put up awnings and beach chairs. We bring kayaks and enjoy fishing. The town of Gardnerville is just 20 miles north and has everything you could want - big Walmart, big grocery store and even a Starbucks!! We wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely plan to go back. We camped at Topaz Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Called in May for a reservation, and talked to the owner who said she had written us down, no deposit needed. When we arrived, there was no spot for our 40 ft motorhome. Management got together and let us park in a site for a much shorter motorhome or trailer. We stuck out quite a bit, meaning the site next to us could not be used, but they agreed it would be okay for one night. Nice place. Due to on-going drought, mostly dirt and dust on the ground. We camped at Topaz Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

This our favorite local place to camp. Full hookups, lots of beautiful shade trees, 2 boat docks, incredible views of Topaz Lake from most sites, laundry and clean restrooms/showers make this very enjoyable. The owners are very nice, as is the maintenance man. They do recycle aluminum and gave a large trash truck. They also have a quaint fish cleaning station with fresh running snow-melt water year round. They have a small store with RV essentials and basics like TP, paper plates and towels, but they have a huge ice cream freezer with a good variety! There's a store a couple of blocks away at the Topaz Lodge and casino if you need more than that. Summer is usually quite full so make reservations in advance. That being said, they usually have a space or two open for overnighters. The parking area is dirt, so be prepared, but the fishing is great as is the location for water sports. Every site has a picnic table. They do not allow any campfires at all- even a propane fire pit- this place has been owned by firefighters for 50 years, so that is something to consider, but we don't miss it. Very nice, quiet park at night. Not a loud party scene at all. Quiet hours are 8 pm to 8 am. Dogs are very welcome. There's a beach to put up awnings and beach chairs- depends on the snowpack. We bring kayaks and enjoy fishing. To get there from Nevada, head south on 395 past Gardnerville, go through the CA inspection and make an immediate left. From CA, head north on 395 and just before the inspection station past Coleville, turn right. This park can accommodate giant class A through pop up trailers. No tents unless they are part of another rig. We camped at Topaz Lake RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Just a note- THIS IS NOT THE CASINO RV PARK in Nevada!Topaz Lake RV park is about 1/2 mile further south on highway 395 in California and a world of difference in the parks! We spent 4 nights at this great campground in space #10. It's a wonderful spot- as are most of the sites! We loved the social atmosphere of this site- everyone stopped by and said hello, chatted about fishing, invited us to game night and gatherings or just petted and spoiled our dog! The only negative comment was that the road noise from 395 was annoying the first night- but when we closed the vents and windows and put our little fan on in the trailer, it was much better. The Lake is fantastic and fishing was great (for everyone else!). We were invited to a yearly BBQ with a group that was wonderful. Very pleasant and helpful. There is a camp store with necessities and RV parts; ice cream, sodas, worms, ice, some food, paper towels and TP, stuff like that. It's on an honor system and you pay when you check out. The RV Park is full of beautiful shade trees and lots of sites with flowers. It's a short walk to the beach and if you bring a boat there is complimentary storage for trailers. The slips are also available at a very reasonable cost($6.50-7.50 a night)The other campers were all very nice and friendly- many have been coming to the camp for 2+ weeks every year for 35 years! They also offer a monthly rate that is very reasonable($440 a month March 1-June 1 and Sept 1- Oct 1 and $510.00 a month for June 1-Sept 1.There is a discount if you pay by check, cash or debit. Well behaved pets are welcomed; there is a quiet time from 10PM-8AM. There are no fire rings. Almost every site has gorgeous views of Topaz Lake. There is a fish cleaning station, showers and bathrooms and a laundry room. The wi-fi was great. The boat launch is free for registered guests - they do offer a visitor launch for $15 a boat. They also have propane if you run out. They have a very strict 2 mph rule in the park since there are so many children and pets in the area. The children and pets were all VERY well behaved!! We were really impressed with the park and the clientele...this lake is a Bald Eagle nesting area, and water fowl sightings were frequent. I loved seeing the graceful flock of pelicans every day! The weather was great- sunny and hot with a light breeze and cool at night for sleeping. We didn't need to use the air at all this trip! We can't wait to go back! We camped at Topaz Lake RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

When we arrived we were greeted promptly and escorted to our site. We are very new at pulling a 33' travel trailer and were concerned about getting into our site. The escort walked us through backing into a vacant site to turn our rig around so we could back into our site. Believe me, it was well worth any stress we had. Not only did we have the best site on the premises, #37, we got a darn good lesson on backing. Park is clean and has large beautiful shade trees. Lovely setting right on Topaz lake. Park has private boat launch swimming area. Wi-Fi was strong. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Topaz Lake RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We loved this place, just dropped in and were given a good rate and a beautiful site. Cable was great, wi-fi was good and people were very friendly (lots of them were return visitors). Lake was beautiful, peaceful, and they have a very nice boat docking area; trout fishing was a popular activity and people seemed to be very successful with their catch each. I look forward to going back. We camped at Topaz Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.
