Best park we have ever stayed in our many years of travel. Surrounded by a wonderful forest. Better than a resort. Superb facility just minutes away from Patrick's Point State Park. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

This is the most peaceful park I have ever stayed at. We stayed only one night and had a site with a deck overlooking the otter pond (yes it really has otters), which is only available to smaller rigs but all the sites are beautiful. The deck at the rear of the site came with a fire pit, chairs and a table. The area out our front door was grassy. Flowers and beautiful plants everywhere. All the sites offer privacy by way of vines or shrubs. A lot of rules but a lot of beauty to enjoy. Do not choose this campground to have a rowdy party with your friends. They are very strict about noise but that to me is the charm. All the amenities were extremely clean and closely located. Tow vehicle parking was a bit of a challenge. Oh yes, you can schedule a foot massage too! We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Go into town for seafood. We ate at the Seaside on the pier which was excellent but a bit pricey. I later got a recommendation from a local that there is a restaurant just to the right of the lighthouse, a local dive, that serves awesome chowder.

A gem of a campground! We had a spot backing up to a private deck on the small lake. Wonderful for just un-laxing and campfire. Everything about the place was spotless and everything worked, including great and fast wifi, crystal clear tv. Small laundry worked well. Single shower but the bathrooms were spotless. The staff was friendly and eager to tell us what was available in the area. They provided lots of handouts with suggestions and directions. The grounds are a riot of well tended plants and shrubs. We wish we could have stayed a month. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Everything was clean and well managed. Pond sites are excellent. Fire pit, picnic table, grass, wooden decks, flowers, and shade. WiFi and Cable TV worked great. They deliver firewood to your site ($). Dog park. Only a swing for the kids. Shower and restroom were spotless. Quiet at night. Short walk to the State Park. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

I enjoyed my stay at Azalea Glen very much. The back in pond sites are so serene and peaceful I would have loved to have stayed longer. The cable tv channels were the best I have ever had at any rv park. The owners and staff were also a joy, giving me good advice on places to go and even a jar of home made plum jam on my day of departure. I will return when ever I am in the area. Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We gravitate towards the 10/10/10 parks with level concrete pads & easy satellite tv clearance. This awesome park is definitely not that. But its emphasis on a quiet, serene atmosphere (no outdoor TV's allowed!) held huge appeal to me. Arrived after a good rain storm to find the very large grass pad firm enough to drive on but too soft to comfortably allow me to extend the leveling jacks, even with the aid of the plastic 12"x12" pads & 'legos' I carry. I cautiously elected to give it a day to dry out then try again. A passing comment to one of the wonderful women that work the office resulted in her equally great husband providing some serious pieces of wood that made quick work of supporting the weight of our 37' Class A. Satellite TV worked at our pull thru site unless the wind was really blowing. (The park abuts to part of Patrick's Point SP & has very tall trees on its parameter.). Excellent cable is provided. The park, our site included, is beautifully landscaped. A very tall hedge provided a privacy on the sides. There really aren't that many sites available. At least during our November stay, drop-ins were not encouraged. Be sure to call ahead. Our departure was delayed by a day due to another rainstorm. My inexperience with grass sites had me worried that we might get stuck trying to leave. We did get a lot of rain, but in hindsight, I was probably just being overly cautious. Enter the park from the north & carefully follow the park's signs at the entrance. The first entrance area is not designed for bigger rigs. This is a very nicely landscaped that emphasizes a very quiet setting. And great wifi. Pay for 7, stay for 8. We could not have been happier. We liked this little park - it's a great location for visiting Redwood NP. Pull-thru sites were a bit narrow, but the green flowering plants growing on the fences between the sites made for nice barriers. Flowers blooming everywhere and a picturesque little pond made this a pretty place and helped us overlook the dated (but very clean) bathrooms. Office staff was very friendly and provided lots of helpful information about the area. The speed bumps were obnoxious; they could take half of them out and there would still be too many. Other than that, it was a nice place and we would stay again. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Small park near Patricks Point State Park, North of Trinidad. We got a pull thru and did not have to unhook 30' trailer. Back In's appeared mostly small. Pricy! Well landscaped with abundant flowers. Pretty park but overpriced. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Small park in the woods that is very clean. Showers and toilets are older, but well kept and clean. Laundry room is clean. There is a trail across the street to the State park and a nice walk to the cliffs over the beach. Trinidad looks like a nice town and we would have liked to stay longer and explore some more. Hmm... perhaps it depends on whether you have one of the back-in deck sites. The pull-through sites are claustrophobic; narrow with walls of greenery and not much room to walk next to the RV. The fire pit was twenty-four inches from motorhome step. Interior roads are gravel but the all-grass site was soggy from rain. This was the most leveling we have required in 3+ years full-timing. The voltage was low (114 on arrival). The Wi-Fi was poor. The dryers were weak (paid double to dry every load twice). A comically excessive number of speed bumps. The office was friendly, but obviously we will not stop here again. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

This is a gem of a park. Owners (very nice) have completely redone the park in the last few years. Nice sites with visual barriers between them and lots of flowers. Gravel / dirt sites with plenty of room for table and chairs. Pull-throughs have lots of room for a dingy. Patrick's Point State Park is right across the road with wonderful hikes and ocean views. Great sightseeing in the area. Very quiet. We hope to come back here again. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Great little well maintained park. There are many full time residents with beautiful little gardens. Very pet friendly, two separate doggy areas (one fully fenced). Very friendly and helpful staff. Very quiet--very little road noise. Our site backed up to a little deck facing a pretty pond. The deck was equipped with table and chairs and am outdoor fireplace. Also, easy access to Patrick's Point State Park and some great hikes. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Lovely little park with very clean facilities. We got a spot around the pond that had a deck with chairs and a chiminea there for our use (ask for one of the lower-numbered spots). Proprietor was even nice enough to provide us with enough wood scraps for a fire when we told her we had no room in our travel van to store a bundle. Watched the hummingbirds feeding on the fuchsias too! We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for two weeks and loved every minute of it! We were in site 21 which is deep, shaded and private. Our friends with us put up a huge tent and separate camp kitchen and there was still room for a campfire and chairs. We also parked both trucks in our site! The owners are very accommodating and even put fresh flowers on our picnic table! By the way, the park is beautifully landscaped, sparkling clean and little gray bunnies abound. Nice park with a beautiful pond and lots of flowers. We had a pull-thru site, which was easy to get into and the hookups where well located, but it was difficult to get level. It is a older park that is well maintained. We enjoyed are stay and would return. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Motorhome.
