Older, very pretty, small park across from Patrick's Pt. State Park. it sits below 101, so there is some road noise. The grassy/dirt sites are fairly easy to maneuver. There is nice off-leash dog park. Park is very quiet and very nicely maintained. It just seems a little speedy. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Small park near the State and National Redwood Parks. Also just a few miles from Trinidad, Ca. That made it easy to resupply with groceries etc. Very pretty park with a lot of beautiful flowers all over the park and a nice pond. Bathrooms and showers were clean and worked well. The site was real nice with a nice area to the side of the motor home with a table, campfire ring, and a lot of space to put our chairs etc. It is located well for visiting the state and national parks. The campground is close to Highway one, but the noise was buffered by the large trees in between the campground and the highway, so there was no noise problem. They had a nice doggy run for those who have dogs. There was ivy and vines between campsites which gave a lot of privacy. Overall a very nice park, but a little expensive. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The National and State Redwood Parks are close. Do the Fern Canyon hike. Very nice and easy hike with beautiful scenery. Hit the Elk Prairie along the way. A lot of other hikes and places to see in all the parks. Patrick's Point State Park is very close and well worth visiting. We did a nice hike down to the water and explored the tide pools.

A lovely little park. Some back-in sites have little decks overlooking a pond full of lily pads. We had site one, just big enough for our 25 foot trailer and tow vehicle, more private than others. Many flowers in the park-obviously it was well cared for. We would stay there again. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

It is just down the road maybe a quarter mile at most from Patrick's Point State Park. It's inland enough that the wind wasn't noticeable, but close enough to enjoy the beaches and trails of the park. We found dog-friendly beaches to the north at Dry Lagoon and also further south near Eureka.

Older well maintained park across the road from Patricks Point State Park. Very quiet park - not recommended for loud groups as they will ask you to be quite - but recommended for RV'ers like us who enjoy quite surroundings for relaxation. Beautiful shrubs and perennials in bloom throughout the park. We have been coming here for over 10 years to get away from the valley heat. Cell service and WiFi are good. Excellent fenced dog area. Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small beautiful park tucked into the lushness that is Northwest California. They have cultivated flowers everywhere that are just beautiful. But our introduction getting in was the HORRIBLE speed bumps that they feel are necessary to put in about every 150-200 feet! To make them even worse, the bumps are each split with one side of the narrow drive bumping your right side, then just four feet later, the left side is bumped, so no matter how slow you are driving, your entire RV rocks violently side to side. We could not understand it. The woman checking us in said it was to keep people from speeding. This is a small park; it would be difficult to speed. We were given site 37, which is a pull-through but seemed to be 6-8' narrower than the other sites. We did not have room for a table or anything else on either side of the motor home. (See pic) It is a grassy site which was not very level. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

It is the most beautiful park with beautiful flowers in all the gardens. We only stayed one night at they were booked out. The staff was terrific as I had to cancel my orignal booking and come 2 weeks later. They hung onto my mail for me. There was a deck behind our site overlooking a lily pond. Nice campground except for the grumpy white haired lady who seems to run the place. I would not have bothered to review the campground but wanted to warn those planning to come to this campground to exit Hwy 101 from the north. If you come in from the south or Trinidad end you will hit a very rough patch on the road and if you are towing or have a big rig it could end badly. Getting to Azalea Glen was easy, just off Hwy 101, and it sits across the street from a beautiful state park. The RV park is small-to-medium size, very quiet and is landscaped beautifully. The sites by the pond (where we were) are all grass, level and with good hookups. The WiFi was good most of the time, and there were two bars of Verizon 4G. The laundry room and bathrooms were clean and adequate. We had a deck including Adirondack chairs, picnic table, fire pit/grill and a small table between the two chairs. Management and staff were very friendly and helpful. This was an excellent choice for us and we'd happily stay here again. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

To the south, Eureka and Humboldt Redwood State Park. To the north is Crescent City and Prairie Creek Redwood St Park, part of the Redwoods National and State Park system. Lots of beautiful groves of redwood, great hiking. We also saw Fern Canyon, worth the long drive down a pothole-y dirt road.

What a nice little RV park. I'm guessing that half of the park are either permanents or longer term rentals. However, that's not a negative because everybody is so friendly and the entire park is immaculate. I mention it because there really aren't many sites available: possibly 20? Make reservations way in advance in the busy season.

We were in site #4 which had one of the few patio sites on the pond and it was beautiful and peaceful. See uploaded picture.

The management really cares that all is going well for their guests and they are constantly keeping the park looking great. The owner gave everybody who checks in a jar of her own bread and butter pickles that were so good. OK not a big deal you might say but on the other hand it was a nice surprise.

I would definitely stay here again and hope that I can get one of the 5-6 patio sites. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

This is the nicest park I have stayed in. A bit expensive for the limited amenities, but the location was great and the sites were good size and private with large shrubs on each side. Lots of permanent residents, but the park was very well kept and everyone was very friendly. A little tight coming in, but I had no trouble with my 35' fifth wheel. I would definitely return if in the area. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

We were originally going to stay in one of the back-in spaces by the "duck pond" but it was a bit too tight for comfort. We chose instead to use a large pull through site nearby which was just great. This is a very tidy, well-maintained park. The grounds are nicely landscaped, and the residents friendly. They also enforce the rules, which was a nice change of pace. No loud noise, no obnoxious pets. We will definitely be back! We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Staff friendly and helpful.

Spots with decking overlooking pond most ideal, although other sites were fine. Each site had ample space for rig and separated vehicle, plus picnic

table, two chairs, and wood burning apparatus.

Beware of the raccoons, they are fearless thieves who will steal from

you while you sit 6 feet away.

Location was just across the street from Patrick State Park, and to numerous other attractions. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

What a gem! The only regret is we had just 2 nights here. We plan to come back next year and spend a week! We had a pond-side site with a patio, fire pit, table and 2 Adirondack chairs. I wondered if the pond would equal mosquitos... but saw zero! The sites are small but very private separated by greenery and flowers. Very quiet at night, absolutely peaceful and wonderful. Easy walk into a "back door" to Patrick's Point with break taking vistas. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Interesting little RV park on California coast. Our site had a small deck over looking a pretty pond covered with Lilly pads and surrounded by trees. Campground galore with beautiful flowers. Our site #3 was a back in site to the deck protected on both sides with a trellis fence covered with vines and flowers. Full hook ups and cable. Verizon reception good. State park with ocean views across the street. Personnel very friendly. Bathrooms and shower great. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.
