Roads paved, sites gravel and level, easy to get around on. Bath room and showers were utilitarian but clean, with good hot water and pressure. Verizon and Mifi work great, the park wifi is pretty fast most of the time but slows down at times. Not much in the way of shade. This is a good place to stay a couple of days and go check out the area. Note if you show up during buisness hours and want to use a credit card go to the office. The rest of the time go check in with the host. They only take checks or cash. We'll stay here again if in the area. The 50 amp site we were at only had 20 and 50 amp hook up on the pedestal. The 30 amps are probably the back in sites. We camped at Redwood Empire Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

This is a no frills park located at the fairgrounds. When there are no events going on it is quiet. On Saturday nights there is auto racing in the summer which apparently is loud. The park also backs up to a baseball field. There were no activities the two times we have stayed here and there is only some distant road noise. The wifi only works if you are close to the office. The sites are a nice size with grass that appears to be watered and was recently cut. Roads and rv parking is gravel. No patio, picnic table or firepit. As an overnigher it worked ok. We did not have to disconnect the tow. About half the sites are pull through. We camped at Redwood Empire Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

A convenient overnight spot at a fair price along a stretch of 101 without a lot of options. Gravel surface in sites is more dirt than gravel and there is a grassy strip between each site. Plenty of length so we didn't have to unhook toad. When there is no event at the fairgrounds, Quiet location. No picnic tables, no playground, no dog run. Campground hosts have always been helpful and friendly. We camped at Redwood Empire Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

This is a good place for an overnight stop. WiFi is spotty and no cable tv. But easy in and out with some shade trees. Quite a few long term people who are working in the area who have nice big clean rigs. Some road noise but overall a quite safe place. We camped at Redwood Empire Fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

The park was very clean. Spaces are close. It rained one week we were there and the only thing I didn't like was that we had to walk through puddles to get to our fifth wheel. But they were regraveling the spaces as people left. We camped at Redwood Empire Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Campground is the keyword. It is a grass/dirt lot with hookups. The CG is on the main road but far enough back so as not to be disturbed by the road noise. BUT, there is a race track on the fairground and on the Friday and Saturday nights we were there, the noise was ungodly. Not sure we will stop here again. We camped at Redwood Empire Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Staff was friendly & helpful. All utilities worked as expected. Park is all grass, including RV pad, and well maintained. Some trees for shade. No picnic table or fire ring. Easy access, can accommodate largest of RV's. Walk to driving range attached to RV park. Would stay here again. We camped at Redwood Empire Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Nice place to stay for a couple days. Grass, hook ups were good. I think it's a tad expensive for a grass lot at the fairgrounds but it was mostly quiet and safe. I would stay here again. We camped at Redwood Empire Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

We've stayed at this fairgrounds 5 or 6 times in recent years. For us it's a convienent overnight spot along a stretch of 101 without a lot of options. Gravel surface in sites is more dirt than gravel and there is a grassy strip between each site. When there is no event at the fairgrounds, the RV park is almost empty, perhaps 12-20 campers which is maybe 1/4 - 1/3 capacity. Quiet location. No picnic tables, no playgroud, no dog run. Campground hosts have always been helpful and friendly. We camped at Redwood Empire Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Ukiah has many good restaurants and several shopping "centers". Because the town developed along "old" 101, it's long and narrow and seems much bigger than it actually is.

This park is right next to the fairgrounds. Sites are grass. There was nothing going on at the fair so it was very quiet, even though you could see 101 there was no noise from it. Its right next to a RR track but I don't think its used. Very secure fenced all the way around. Good place for a stop over or a base for checking out Ukiah. Host was nice and gave a the spot we wanted so I could walk my dog and my potbelly pig. We camped at Redwood Empire Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

The sign for the place isn't the best; it was past where you turn so watch carefully. Easy on/off the freeway, lots of places to eat close by. This is a no frills campground with full hookups. Ran by a camp host. Check in was quick and easy. My rate was 27 dollars a night, Good Sam Discount. The grass needed to be mowed. It's usually quiet, except on Saturday nights during race season... Short track racing at the fairgrounds. The site's are close together... We didn't have room to drop our awning. This campground can accommodate large rigs... Sites are gravel, but fairly level. Our camper is 35 feet plus a tow vehicle and still we could have parked our other car in the space... But they would only allow one vehicle in the spot. Our other car had to be parked outside the gate. I didn't like it, but they would not budge on the rule. The maximum stay is 14 days in a row. There are no reservations... First come first served. It was a decent place for an overnighter. We camped at Redwood Empire Fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Price included Good Sam discount. This is a no frills campground, but it is clean and quiet. Check-in was quick and the host was friendly. The sites and roads are gravel, but are fairly level. There is no cable and the Wi-Fi is only available by the rest room/office building. We had a good Verizon signal, and our antenna could pull in about 6 TV stations, so that wasn't a problem for our one night stay. There is grass between the sites that was freshly mowed. There is also a 10' tree between all sites, but they won't be tall enough to provide any shade for a few years. The sites are long enough for our 36' motorhome and tow to fit comfortably, and there is plenty of space to maneuver into and out of the site. There is no dog walk area, but there is plenty of grass around for them. Access to US 101 is fairly easy, and the park is far enough off of a major street to keep road noise down. This was just an overnight for us while traveling north on 101. We would overnight here again if in the area, however, we wouldn't plan an extended stay here. We camped at Redwood Empire Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you need a veterinarian in the area, Mendocino Animal Hospital at 1240 Airport Park Blvd took a drain out of our dog's lip and did not charge us for the service.
