This park is located right at the edge of town. It is very clean and well maintained. Our site was a bit tight but enough room for the coach and tow. The roads are paved with concrete pads. There is 24 hour security at the gate. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We camped at Ventura Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

I would rate this close to a 10 but it's so close to the 101 Freeway that makes the noise hard to really enjoy being outside. But it's a well run park. The staff made things EZ and were helpful. Pool and Hot spa were great. they have entertainment and lots of things for kids. Very family friendly and close to downtown Ventura. The camp also has a big military truck to take you/pick up in downtown. Can't miss it! They make you wear wristbands because they've had trouble with homeless people walking in and lock up your bikes and other nice things outside because things do get stolen here. But they have made investments in 24 hour security which is a reason the cost of coming here is pretty high. I would stay here again but would request spot on the southeast side of the camp. We camped at Ventura Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

One of the most beautiful city halls in the country. Nice downtown. Buzy Bee's is good old time diner on main street. Have to pay for parking on Main Street but if you go east or west ... there is free parking behind many of the buildings. I didn't care for the beach near the pier. A LOT of seaweed.

The bathrooms and homeless make this place tough to rate high. The grounds are very nice as is the pool, pool tables and weekend entertainment. We camped at Ventura Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a nice full-service campground with all the amenities. Compared to others, however, it's very expensive! Beach access is nearby, but you have to walk, bike, or drive under the 101 freeway to get there. You don't see it from the campground. Also, the freeway noise from the 101 is constantly noisy, but you get used to it. We camped at Ventura Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

After reading so many mixed reviews, I was somewhat reluctant to stay here. However, after the wife and daughter decided that staying at Rincon wasn't a good idea for keeping the dog from making a mess in our rig, we headed here. I can definitely see where depending on what part of the facility you stayed at can make quite a difference. As for our site, 52, I have no complaints. Noise wasn't an issue and space was adequate. Here were our negatives; expensive, charge for everything and LOTS of rules. The one that bugged me the most was having to wear wristbands during your stay. That being said, I can see the reason as the proximity to the beach and it's local homeless has the resort security guards constantly patrolling the perimeter. Verifying who belongs is easier with the bands than security questioning every guest. We only stayed one night and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. We camped at Ventura Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

I was a little nervous about staying here because I booked our site before reading all the mostly negative reviews. The only drag is the freeway noise. We were in site 106 and the freeway was only about 70 yards from us and was noisy, but you know that going in. I looked hard to try to find a rude employee, but did not. Store personnel and security guards were all helpful and cheerful. Security in golf carts patrolled all night. The hook-ups all worked flawlessly and the park seemed to be maintained well. The beach is a short 15 minute walk if you go through the Emma Wood side which is next door. We will stay here again but will opt for a more premium site. The double pull thru would have another RV backed in within a couple of feet of your rig. All in all a good experience and didn't mind spending the money to stay here. We camped at Ventura Beach RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We have camped here before and enjoy the area. We paid an extra $11 / night for a premium space. Even though we were only a few spaces from the WIFI antenna, it did not work well. I would have given a 9 if it did. Nice place to camp for bike riding and relaxing. I used the Jacuzzi and enjoyed it. The restrooms have a combo lock to enter the shower area first, then separate to the washrooms. There is a game room and a decent store. I would go again, but find a coffee place for WIFI use. We camped at Ventura Beach RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Lovely, clean park next to busy fwy. There's plenty of fwy noise, but if you can live with that, it's a great park. Feels very safe and there are beautiful places to walk and bike nearby. Will return. NO REFUNDS for noise, so be sure you can handle it before you pay for a long visit. We camped at Ventura Beach RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

I would have given the park a 9 but the noise can become very loud late at night.Sites were level, Hook ups worked perfectly. Staff was very warm and friendly, they delivered firewood to our site. 24 hour patrol would stay here again. We camped at Ventura Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Friendly staff, nice well stocked on site store. Sites are easy to get into, with a little bit of grass, a picnic table and fire ring. Our stay was over a holiday weekend so the place was packed, lots and lots of kids. They even had a rock band playing on Saturday and Sunday nights. They rent bikes on site so there were plenty of people riding bikes and scooters through the campground. They allow tents, so we saw several several sites with RV's plus 1 or 2 tents, for extra family and friends. There is a great bike path just outside the property. It's a quick ride to the pier or into old town Ventura. As mentioned in other reviews, the park is directly next to the 101 fwy. We like to stay in the in the back row 70's sites. The RV's in the closer rows seem to block the freeway noise. We camped at Ventura Beach RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Close proximity to both downtown Ventura and the ocean-front. About 15 minute walk to deserted beach. Staff friendly. Sites grassy with picnic tables and fire rings. Lots of noise from 101 Freeway and Main street, but bearable given the location. Large convenience store on site. No TV; no reception whatsoever. Laundry was a bargain. Only real negative was scuzzy, cramped, old showers. We camped at Ventura Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Yes very expensive. Mostly pull through sites. Clean park with no noticeable permanents or undesirables. A short walk/ bike ride to the beach. Good WiFi. Small pool. OK place if you want full hooks ups and able to get to the beach, otherwise go no hook ups and be right on the beach. Probably won't stay again due to cost for what you get. Overpriced for what you get. All utilities are WAY in the back - might be fine for a 5er, but not for a motorhome if you want to keep your toad attached. Our site was far from level - and the park was practically empty but they bunched everyone up in one area. Security didn't even bat and eye when we drove in a 12:15 am, not sure what they were watching for but obviously if you are in a car don't worry about it. Noise from 101 wasn't that bad. Don't think we will stay here again. We camped at Ventura Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

I was a little apprehensive after reading all the reviews of this campground. Upon arrival, I was greeted by two nice ladies who had my reservation right at hand. I had to initial a receipt stating that I understand that there will be traffic noise, etc. Which is understandable since it's right along the 101 freeway. I was concerned about the 'vagrants' that I read about in previous reviews but was assured that the 24 hr. security would look out after the park. They did tell me to lock up my bike. I keep in a bay so it's not outside. Nice looking and clean park and very convenient off the 101 freeway. I would give it a 10 but there is very limited space for patio enjoyment. Actually, there is no patio, just a grassy isle between the sites. We camped at Ventura Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.
