Nice campground, quite, easy access, staff friendly, polite and helpful. The park is well situated to take a day trip to Kings Canyon & Sequoia National parks. The restrooms, showers and laundry are very clean. I would stay here again anytime. We camped at Visalia / Sequoia National Park KOA in a Motorhome.

Quiet park away from the freeway, but close enough for easy access. We stayed overnight. Cable, power, water all worked well. Dog disposal bags strategically located. Not a lot of shade but the 50 amp kept our ACs going just fine. Nice pool. Lots of other amenities. Grass around sites is dry and brown. Not a lot of visual appeal. We stayed here in a motorhome. This park has a few negative reviews, but we found no problems staying here 5 nights. Very little noise except occasionally a distant sounding train horn. Yes you hear a little train rumble, but just barely. No chicken noise. Some occasional local traffic noise, and a party one night till 11pm. Otherwise very quiet. Typical gravel pull through, mostly level on site C13. Laundry card a little odd, but no issue to use. We camped at Visalia / Sequoia National Park KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

About an hour to Kings Canyon entrance. Nice easy road into park. Sequoia entrance straight out highway 198 from park. Winding road, but easy. Convenient to all resturants, stores, gas.

Overall Rating:

We flew to California to see some National Parks on our spring break and stayed in a Deluxe Kamping Kabin for 4 nights. The park is small and tidy and the folks are nice. The cabin was somewhat run down, it's seen a lot of use, but everything worked and it was sufficiently clean. The queen bed mattress made a creaking sound (from a heavy plastic liner) every time my husband and I rolled over so every time we moved we were woken up; needless to say we didn't sleep very well. The kids in the bunk room across the cabin could also hear it. We would have rather had stayed in our own travel trailer but didn't have that option this trip. I'd stay here again in our trailer but would not stay in the cabin again. I used the back-of-property bathroom once and it was also old and has seen a lot of use. One of the toilets was broken and looked disgusting. The grounds surrounding the cabin had a lot of weeds and was a tad overgrown. We camped at Visalia / Sequoia National Park KOA in a Cabin.

Tips for other Campers:

About 1 hr from the Foothills entrance to Sequoia National Park and 1 1/2 hours from the entrance to Kings Canyon National Park. LOTS of roosters in the adjoining neighborhood; if you're tenting or in a hybrid trailer, bring ear plugs.

We have a perfectly level site that is long enough to accommodate our 40' 5th wheel's rear deck. So nice. The store seemed to be well stocked with supplies. Unfortunately, the pool was not open yet. Did not use the showers but the laundry room is updated and clean. The area in which this camp is located is part residential part ag, part industrial. I wasn't comfortable in this park leaving things visible outside of the rig but so far everything has been safe. We've only been here one day and one night of our week long stay. The sites are gravel with grass and trees all around. We enjoyed being outside because of the pleasant weather. We camped at Visalia / Sequoia National Park KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

First, they got their water problem solved, now on city water and not on their well. Typical KOA, over priced, friendly staff, OK for an overnight stay. Cable TV is old and limited (12 channels), but digital over-the-air has 130 channels, so do not waste time hooking up or paying extra for cable. Won't let a 50 amp rig hooked into a 30 amp site, not sure why... so 50 amp sites are very limited. Not many RV choices in the area, so this will do. We called in morning to check availability and rate. "PLENTY OF SPACE NO NEED FOR RESERVATION". When we arrived we were told water was unusable even for flushing. We had plenty of water so we decided to stay any way but asked about a discount. None was was offered. We told them we called earlier and no mention was made of water problems. After check in we were given information about coliform bacteria in well SINCE Sept 2017 and dangerous levels of Nitrates since 2016!! This place should be shut down. BEWARE!! I knew about the bad water issues but we needed a one-night stop on our way from Sacramento to Albuquerque. There's not a lot of choices along CA-99 so I called and when the lady who answered told me about the water, I said that was fine. It was just a 1-night quick stop & we'd come in with full tank. But would they discount the price because of the water issue? She said no. With such a big rig, we opted to stay anyway but it's a ridiculous policy in my opinion. Naturally there weren't too many campers in the lot but it's a pretty quick off/on CA-99 so it was fine. We camped at Visalia / Sequoia National Park KOA in a Motorhome.

If you plan to stay at this campground call, do not book online, so you can check on the potibility of their water. We arrived late, but with a full water tank, to find the water was not potable due to a bacteria. Other than that, which is a big but, the campground is big rig friendly, close enough to Sequoia to use as a base, and has friendly employees and permanents. We camped at Visalia / Sequoia National Park KOA in a Motorhome.

Casa Grande Mexican restaurant in Visalia was great. Go early to Sequoia as the crowds build throughout the day.

This park has received DRINKING WATER WARNING notices. Tests show 3 times the max guidelines for Nitrate Levels. Sampling also indicates presence of total coliform bacteria in the water system. The front desk states that all sites but one are now safe to drink. They gave us a one gallon jug of named brand drinking water to use instead.

The staff is nice. The store is good. The sites are gravel and fairly level. It can be difficult to get to the park as there is much road construction in the area.

If you're here to visit Visalia, the location is ideal. We camped at Visalia / Sequoia National Park KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed on July 4th weekend for one night. The park has a large store with souvenirs, and a large pool that was full of kiddos. It also has a large dog park that is long enough for your pup to run. Like most KOAs, it was pricey for what you get. We had to wait a long time to be checked in (with reservations), but I'm glad we got there early. Later in the day, the park was completely full and the wait was longer. We camped at Visalia / Sequoia National Park KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you go visit Sequoia National Park, make sure you bring a paper map. There are large sections of the park with no signal or GPS signal. And start with a full tank of gas as it is scarce in the mountains. Be sure to visit the Stagg Tree, which is the third largest tree in the world.

Typical KOA with reasonably level gravel parking pads that, as usual, could use some more gravel. Nice pool and dog run. Quite a few trees so some spaces had shade. Cable TV. Gravel interior roads so some dust. Good Verizon signal. Well away from busy roads so very quiet at night. We camped at Visalia / Sequoia National Park KOA in a Motorhome.

This seems like a nice park, lots of green grass and trees spaced about the property. It does appear as if the surrounding area has grown around it, so the drive in through the neighborhood is kind of odd, but we never felt unsafe. There's a little store on site with basics and limited grocery items, and everyone we dealt with was very friendly and helpful. They put us in a pull-through on the end of a row, which was nice. No one near us, and we did stick out a little on each end but that was ok since the park was so empty on New Year's Day. We camped at Visalia / Sequoia National Park KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
