4 Parks near Weed, California
Apr 2015 - $30.00
Utility posts and sewer in awkward location. Views of Mt Shasta as advertised. Good WiFi. Just behind Pilot truck stop but not too noisy. - Thedogsma
Dec 2014 - $33.00
This park has deteriorated since we last stayed here a little over two years ago. We had a lot of trouble with the electrical system - the breaker kept tripping and finally fried - necessitating hooking up the truck and 5th wheel and moving to another spot at 10 pm in the dark, snow, and freezing cold. Long-term residents of the park told us that this is an on-going problem. In addition, the insulation has been removed from around the water pipes where they come from the ground, making it futile to use water at this time of year even though we have a heated hose and did use their water the last time we stayed here (December 2012). We previously enjoyed this small, low-key park - for its ease on & off I-5 and especially for its incredible view of Mt. Shasta. Hope they can rectify these issues, but until then would recommend people stay away! - rvericksons
Aug 2014 - $30.00
We stay here a few times a year and absolutely love this place! The park is clean and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We love the location as it has easy access to the freeway while still giving the feeling of being deep in the woods. this place has everything you could possibly need and much more! - David Fowler
Oct 2013 - $28.00
The RV sites are in a row at the back of the motel lot, backing up to a small creek. Over half of the RV sites are taken up by long term stays. Since the utilities for every two sites are shared, we had to run our hoses and electrical under our rig to hook up. If you have a motorhome and could pull in forward, this would not be an issue. Interstate 5 is not far away so there is freeway noise at all hours. The park Wi-Fi was decent, but did slow down during peak usage hours. The onsite cafe is excellent. This place is okay for a one nighter, but there are better options down the road in Mt Shasta City in our opinion. - Metamorphosis Road
Jan 2013 - $26.00
This little RV park is in the back of the Hi-Lo motel with back in sites. Very quiet, with a great dining cafe associated with the motel. They gave us discount tokens for gas and free coffee at the diner. We had both dinner and breakfast here and it was very good. If you have a large RV you can pull in through a back road. We have a 36' RV and made it through the front entrance. We would stay here again. - pttraveler
Jun 2015 - $1.00
A blm campground - i.e. beautiful surroundings, sparse amenities, and free during the summer months. Camped in a 40' class A with toad down by the lake. There are sites back in the trees, but not large enough for our rig. Plenty of space near the lake and these have a best view. There is a fresh water spigot and pit toilet located back in the trees section. Great outdoors experience - quiet and very scenic. Night skies and star gazing were awesome. Lake water level was down when we were there (June 2015), but it wasn't an ugly sight. Local law officer patrolled about every other day just to check on things. We were the only steady visitor during our 6 day visit - very few seemed to camp here at this time of year. Mid-days were somewhat hot, so had to run the generator and A/C. Just be prepared for rustic camping when you come here. Bring your camera and binoculars and be prepared for some great afternoon naps under a shade tree. Be careful of the trees (evergreens) they do drop sap - I had to clean our dog and awnings before leaving. There is a Pilot south of Weed for fuel and a dump station ($8). - MarksOnTheRoad
May 2015 - $25.00
Our second stay on the way to/from the Oregon coast. Run by friendly husband/wife owners, it is a great over-nighter. It is just outside town, so is reasonably quiet despite its proximity to I-5; we could hear the freeway outside, but inside our rig we slept fine, and the freeway noise all but went away after dark. No traffic hassles getting there or leaving. The sites are fairly level and and some have shade. The utilities all worked fine. We like Trailer Lane. - Washoezephyr
Jan 2015 - $27.00
This was an overnight stop, conveniently located near I-5. The negative was that after we set up and leveled, we found that the 30 amp power in the site did not work and had to move to a different site. The same thing happened to another couple traveling with us. If it had not been for the positive experience with the camp host, this would have earned a lower rating. He was very friendly and helpful. WiFi was so-so. Not sure if we would stay here again. - kcjflea
Sep 2014 - $33.00
Wife called up to make a reservation. Owners wife answered phone with a "Hello?".
My wife had to ask if this was the rv park. Answer was a short "Yes".
Went ahead and made a reservation for a couple of nights anyways.
Got there, paid, and THEN the Weed fire started!
Was told no refunds, power was shut off and so was water.
We left with no refund.
Didn't like their attitude and won't stop there again. - Bluebird Bob
