The park is laid out in an interesting pattern. Several of the sites are pull through if you are the first in the site or you pull in but have to back out. not a problem if the park is not busy. The sites and interior roads are paved. The sites are wide with nice space between. Some of the sites are among the trees so satellite is difficult in those sites. Our site had only 30 amp service. It is an expensive park for the what you get in services. My reason for a lower rating was the price for 30 amp only and layout issues if you are not the first in the row. . We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We have been going to this parol for years, new owners have raised the nightly fee, but that is life. We were in site 12, the 30 amp electrical outlet is still loose and needs to be replaced, usable, just have to arrange the electric cord so it stays in place. Both showers now working in the men's room. Grass is green, raked and the park is neat, a small veggie garden for guests. Overall I think the park has been improved and we will continue to stay at Friendly RV. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Definitely friendly staff. Gravel interior roads & site. Our site was a bit tight between trees with FHUs (30A) and the pull through was long enough to not disconnect the toad. Men's bathroom was a bit "rustic" but clean (shower curtain for the toilet door) and, even though it had a combination lock, the bolt was exposed so combo was not needed. Yes, they do have veggie gardens scattered around the park. A little pricey for an average park. The Pilot station noise was negligible. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very impressed with clean restrooms, office, laundry and even a little vegetable garden where you can pick free veggies to enjoy!! Sites are spacious! Even good wifi and cable included!! And finally a good place to have dogs, and people cleaned up! Fun sign said take a photo of anyone not cleaning up after their dog and the deposit! Give it to the office and they would talk to the dog owner. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

The owners are SO nice here and they are obviously "park proud" because the park is lovely and well-maintained. I enjoyed it here surrounded by tall trees with Mt. Shasta in the background. I have a small TT so had no trouble staying hitched for my overnight stay in a pull through spot. Nice dog park area with bags provided. Would definitely stay again! Overall Rating:

Stayed one night in a 40' MH with tow. Had pull thru site, but it was only 42' with another site butting up behind us. They were not busy so there was no problem with us hanging into site behind us, but we were told if they were busy we would have to unhook. A 42' PT site is not large enough for a big rig that is towing and having to unhook defeats the purpose of a pull thru if you are stopping for the night and moving on the next morning as we were. Lots of truck noise - realized next morning that there is a Pilot that almost surrounds the park so we heard trucks coming and going all night. Staff was friendly but would probably not stay here again. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Staff was friendly on check in and the escort to our site knew exactly how far to pull forward for our utility hook ups. Wifi was excellent but only 4 OTA channels with no networks. Management offered to let me borrow a cable so I could watch the Final Four. The laundry room was clean with 2 washers and dryers. They were not coin-op so for $2 you could manage the dry time. Intended as only an overnight stop, it was easy to extend so we could see a couple of the nearby sites. We would definitely stay again if in the area. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Weed is an interesting little town to explore with few shopping opportunities. A big Petro truck stop has propane and easy access pumps for RV's. We drove up Mt Shasta as far as the road was open. There's a very interesting Sculpture Garden honoring veterans past Lake Shastina.

What a hidden gem of an RV park!! We arrived without a reservation because of a mistake in making reservations for the night. The office staff were very pleasant, offering to relocate another camper who wasn't arriving for another night to a different site so we could fit into a back in site. We prefer a pull thru so my 40' Class A towing an 18' car hauler trailer can fit and remain connected but only back in sites are offered. A guest parking was available to store my trailer during our stay at no additional cost. It was easy to access and to drop and hook up the trailer. The 45' back in site was paved, level with FHU, 30A service only (no 50A service available), but was close by. Cable TV is offered and is the best signal I have ever received from a park cable system. WiFi is also offered. All included in the nightly rate. The park is small with some long term residents but the park is well-maintained. One of the cleanest parks we have been in. Each site has a grassed patio with a picnic table that doesn't have a weathered appearance. They appear fairly new. Laundry and bathrooms provided but we did not use. The great thing about this park is it is at the base of Mt. Shasta!! You have a view of Mt. Shasta from the rear of the park. Park is close to grocery shopping, fast food restaurants and a Pilot Flying J truck stop. It has interior roadways that are easy to navigate. After you register, you are guided to your campsite and assistance in set up is offered. The campground has trees that may impact those with a satellite system. The park is quiet even though close to the commercial elements mentioned. We would certainly return to this park when in the area. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to visit the Living Memorial Sculpture Garden, a unique setting recognizing veterans and participants of past wars. It is a nice setting to reflect on those that have served our country. During the drive to the garden, be sure to take in the views of Mt. Shasta and the valley where you will find Lake Shastina.

We were very grateful when we made our reservation and were allowed to use Passport America for our first night stay and Good Sam for the second night. The owner tried to work with us to get our satellite dish connected, but warned us that they have a lot of trees and they might interfere. They did. She assured us that they have every cable channel we would want so we hooked it up. I haven't seen this much snow on a TV since I was a kid watching a black and white with rabbit ears. As others have indicated this park is strangely organized. The back in sites on the perimeter of the park are pretty typical, but the center has pull throughs designed for two rigs parked nose to tail. We could not take the site we were supposed to take because the folks who were supposed to park in front of us weren't here yet. Very inconvenient. There was room for people to back in on this odd sites, but the owners have had bad experiences with RV'ers hitting other people's rigs. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stopped here on our drive from Oregon to San Diego. Great little spot to spend a night. We were happy to have a very shady spot since it was over 100 degrees when we arrived. They only offer 30 amp service, so it took a while to cool down the rig. Very friendly and helpful staff. It was very smokey while we were there so we couldn't see Mount Shasta - but there is a view of the mountain from the campground. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park easy to navigate, level, good utilities (an exception later), nice restrooms/showers, great staff. Get a reservation. During our stay the place filled nightly with overnighters from I-5. Though close, the hwy provided very little noise. The Pilot Truck stop contributed more noise but not bad. The exception noted above is that we lost power at the post at about 6 pm on a 100 degree day. The manager and owner began to deal with it immediately but before a professional diagnosed the problem it was too late to get parts. About a half dozen other sites had this problem. Things happen, and we respect the attempt to fix it. Yet, we find AC a necessity in this sort of weather, as do other seniors. It did cool enough to spend the night. One thing I find troubling is that the owner, manager, and camp host never said anything like "sorry this happened" or much less a rebate or other discount on this or future camping. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

As others noted, the pull throughs are different in that the second arrival pulls in behind the first. I can see the potential for being trapped but that did not happen during our stay. The pull through overnight spots were all occupied and every one of us pulled out the bbq and sat outside. I mention this because because overnight parks frequently do not inspire this. There is a truck stop nearby but there is also a wonderful view of Mt Shasta. We would stay here again. Verizon was 4G and lots of bars. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

As our site was a tandem site, we had to wait for the fellow in front of us to wake up from his nap to take his tow car off! The sites are extremely narrow and dirt. The driveway into the park was awful, deep pot holes! Couple is trying to fix up but have a long way to go. Back in sites looked narrow so that slides would not open. We will not stay here again. see other reviews that cover all essential information. We would have reviewed higher if we were not "stacked" two in a row in the pull thrus. We had to wait for the people in front to pull out before we could leave. I liked that better than holding others up but still it can be a problem...if you are an early riser ask for a site in the front! or a back in. We loved this park, the flowers, the nice amenities and the friendly staff; we will return. The washer/dryers are on the honor system: $2.00 each...My husband said the men's showers are not private, you must step out of the shower to dry off and dress in the open area. The women's had doors and a dressing area. The women's bathroom has one toilet with a door and one toilet for the handicapped with a curtain. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.
