Staff was friendly on check in and the escort to our site knew exactly how far to pull forward for our utility hook ups. Wifi was excellent but only 4 OTA channels with no networks. Management offered to let me borrow a cable so I could watch the Final Four. The laundry room was clean with 2 washers and dryers. They were not coin-op so for $2 you could manage the dry time. Intended as only an overnight stop, it was easy to extend so we could see a couple of the nearby sites. We would definitely stay again if in the area. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Weed is an interesting little town to explore with few shopping opportunities. A big Petro truck stop has propane and easy access pumps for RV's. We drove up Mt Shasta as far as the road was open. There's a very interesting Sculpture Garden honoring veterans past Lake Shastina.

As others noted, the pull throughs are different in that the second arrival pulls in behind the first. I can see the potential for being trapped but that did not happen during our stay. The pull through overnight spots were all occupied and every one of us pulled out the bbq and sat outside. I mention this because because overnight parks frequently do not inspire this. There is a truck stop nearby but there is also a wonderful view of Mt Shasta. We would stay here again. Verizon was 4G and lots of bars. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly people, good WiFi and cell phone service. Fire pit was too close to RV to use. RV park located near I-5 easy access but no noise from traffic. About 40 percent long term residents. No recreation facilities. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Greeting was "Friendly" in office, info. was helpful. We were lead to our site by a "Friendly" gentleman who offered assistance if needed. Pull through section was very level, smooth, easy to navigate, and neat. Paved site was plenty wide enough for all slides plus we were able to park the Dually next to the coach. Park is dog "Friendly" with a pleasant wooded smooth area in front by entrance. Disposal & bags in rear. The park has sufficient lighting for last calls. WiFi was actually good! Restrooms are clean & neat, plenty of HW, pressure is good. Showers are roomy as is changing area. Although there are truck stops nearby we had no objections during cool weather. Well run RV park, large coach "Friendly" would stay again. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Many resources in this area can be walked to, Bargain Grocery, restaurants. Diesel fuel nearby. Main town is one short exit away with more resources. Enjoyed the Hi-Lo Cafe's 24 hr. breakfast, extensive menu. Filtered water dispenser at Rays foods. Great mountain views.

The new owner is very helpful and the park has the best views of Mt Shasta. You do have some traffic noise from the Pilot truck stop that is near, but was not a problem. The rate reflects Passport for the first night and Good Sam on the next. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

An overnight stop. Several long term residents. Bare bones but reasonable park for an overnight stop. Disappointed at no 50A power. Our rig just fit the space for length but plenty of room. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Checked in & was escorted to our site. This park has a million dollar view of Mt Shasta. WOW! It's a small, well run, clean, friendly campground. We will be back! Lot spacing was spacious with some shade. Site surface was asphalt and featured a picnic table. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

They do not accept credit cards. Only cash or checks. The WiFi is good but the cable does not come with a directory so you're on your own finding channels. The spaces are gravel but fairly level. Overall the park is clean and quiet. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This park has deteriorated since we last stayed here a little over two years ago. We had a lot of trouble with the electrical system - the breaker kept tripping and finally fried - necessitating hooking up the truck and 5th wheel and moving to another spot at 10 pm in the dark, snow, and freezing cold. Long-term residents of the park told us that this is an on-going problem. In addition, the insulation has been removed from around the water pipes where they come from the ground, making it futile to use water at this time of year even though we have a heated hose and did use their water the last time we stayed here (December 2012). We previously enjoyed this small, low-key park - for its ease on & off I-5 and especially for its incredible view of Mt. Shasta. Hope they can rectify these issues, but until then would recommend people stay away! We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stay here a few times a year and absolutely love this place! The park is clean and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We love the location as it has easy access to the freeway while still giving the feeling of being deep in the woods. this place has everything you could possibly need and much more! This was a great park to visit Mt Shasta and area. Terrific views of Shasta. Odd tandem arrangement for pull-through sites, but because it wasn't busy, not a problem for us. Noticeable noise from I-5 and truck stop next door. Good shade trees, but blocking satellite southern exposure. We would stay here again when in area. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

As previously noted by other reviewers, several spaces are arranged in tandem formation, which works fine when the park isn’t too busy. Recommend backing into one of the tree-lined spaces as they are more private and cooler. While there is no assigned pet area, there is plenty of room to roam just outside the park. The restrooms have nice tile work in them and are kept pretty clean, although the building is quite old. There were an amazing number of cable TV channels available. The location is handy for an overnight stop while traveling Interstate 5 in Northern California, or as a place to stay a few days to explore the Mount Shasta area. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

It was very cold when we pulled into this park and the pipes froze so that we had no water in the morning. Level pull-throughs, no cable and you have to pay for Wi-Fi after 30 min's. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
